Inspector Freddy taught me two life lessons (in a reverse manner):
1. Do not exhibit our weakness before others
2. Do not be over friendly with our juniors. Keep juniors within a distance.
After two or three years I will make a topic about this particular character and how he helped in shaping my professional career.
I started watching CID when I was in high school. During holidays used to watch CID whole day. Abhijeet was my favorite character and he has consistently remained so. I have watched every episode that revolved around him multiple times. I love the dynamics between the team. The bond is something I enjoy watching. Honestly there are times i have got annoyed with the way the makers have taken the story but ultimately I have always found comfort in watching the characters... especially my favorite. Him as a mentor to juniors, a loyal friend/brother to Daya/Freddy, a lover boy to Tarika(although they could have done better here, some instances showed his devotion but mostly they made it too much like playful schoolboy flirting... now that they are trying to bring a more deeper angle in s2, I am all excited), a devoted student/son to ACP, a playful friend to Salunkhe and most importantly the sharp shooter and a very keen detective... I have watched and rewatched him so much throughout the years and never felt bored.
In addition the forensic lab has always been my favorite and because of watching that at a young age, I have developed a passionate interest in forensics and have also read a lot about it. Bonus being Tarika having curly hair and is tall, same as me... and her being least bothered to straighten it or consciously wearing flats only... still getting the interest of my favorite character gave me the confidence I badly needed in the adolescent stage. So this show has impacted me personally.
And yes... I have also dived deep into the rabbit hole of fan fictions, vms enjoying those perspectives too. Some bonds are depicted better in fanfictions.
Well that's all I could think of now... It may not be always perfect but it is CID the show that I loved and will continue to do so. Watching it is like sipping a cup of warm coffee... Comforting.

Abhijjeet Is My Favorite Character Too
Did You Watch CIF?
When I first started watching CID in 2010, my favourite character was Daya.
But after many years of watching the Show, as earlier I commented in another post, my likeness towards him decreased (still one of my favourite) and Abhijeet is my Favourite followed by ACP. The problem with Daya is sometimes he is so emotional (especially when it comes in the matter of love).

I Started Watching CID In 2009
Yes Your Right About Daya
He Still My Favorite Though
After Abhijeet And ACP
I watched first few episodes of CIF. But stopped, because it deals with some sensitive issues. I'm least interested in such things. I didn't like OTT Web series.Originally posted by: SilverBell

I watch CID (1998 to 2011) because it provides so much entertainment plus life lessons plus it so colourful (rather than web series which is so dark and exposive). Likewise, today I posted in another topic about the episode I watched yesterday. When Daya slapped the culprit (who is double his age) and when he fall in the hospital bed, it was fun but it was not over like they showed after 2014 especially by a male officer (who is still in the team).

No... it was a little heavy for me. CID is more lighthearted and entertaining.
