During last season, CID got massive support from the Great SONY TV. That's what they ran for 20 years. But now the scenario is changed. At that time, CID was more popular with Baby Boomers, Gen X, Millenians and first half of Gen Z. Baby boomers have become so old, some of the fans have passed away and others have retired from the job (This viewers will prefer old episodes i.e.1998 to 2002), Gen X fans will be in the top post in their organisations or in the path of retirement and Millenial fans like me may be in the middle post in their respective organisations. This period of our time i.e age 30s and 40s are for the time for work hard. So, both Gen X & Millenians will be least bothered about the Show. They will be bothered about their career and family. Now the case of first half of Gen Z : They will be in the most crucial part of their academic carrer. So their Parents will discourage from watching the Show especially during the original run which may tarnish the TRP.
So, what I'm saying is that provide a proper climax and end CID. Let climax like this :
CID catching Barbosa but he try to escape. But get killed in a Helicopter crash or get shot from ACP and will pass away. Daya and Abhijeet get married and settle down with their families.
All be happy in the Bureau. Then a call comes. ACP attends the call. He informs the other Members about a new case. Then ACP, Abhijeet, Daya, Sachin, Purvi will leave for investigation. The Screen will be shown as :
CID: Mission Continues.
