When Freddy opened his mouth, he put the pizza slice that he was eating in mouth and started chomping down on it. He was about to put the second piece in his mouth when the phone in the bureau rings. ACP says hello and suddenly the bureau goes quiet. Freddy tries to chew the pizza quietly but a loud crunch sound is heard. He is scared that he is about to be caught and so he keeps his mouth open. ACP asks on the phone- where did it happen? On hearing this Freddy hits his other hand on his forehead - he has understood that a murder has taken place somewhere and they will have to go. He tries close his mouth to finish off the half eaten pizza when ACP shouts Freddy. Freddy replies" EEEOOO...yes sir.
CID car races through the dark streets in the night. The car reaches Darkona Hotel and enters. Manager tells ACP that it is good that you have come...and takes them inside. ACP flares his nose and looks at the crowd standing nearby. The people who were staying at the hotel are very subdued. The CID officers now start to stare in their eyes one by one. ACP, Abhijit and Daya start to memorise the faces that they see. Manager bows down as if he has done the murder himself. He says that the murder took place on the 13th floor. ACP asks him to show the 13th floor. The CID team and manager enters the lift and the lift proceeds on its way when Abhijit puts his nose in the middle...
Abhijeet : did the murder take place in the room or outside Manager- the murder took place inside the room.
Abhijeet - asks what the room number. Manager- 666
ACP- are you joking...how can a room on the thirteenth floor be 666. It should be like1366 or 1342 or 1389...
Manager-sir I do not own this hotel- I am only the manager- the owner of this hotel does everything upside down. This man who has died is the hotel's owners friend only.
On hearing this, the CID team is stunned...this is the first twist in the case. Their expresssions brightened up as if bees have seen a opened flower. They look at each other. The lift reaches the thirteenth floor and the manager rushes ahead in a long corridor. And they reach the room number 666. The manager moves to the side and the team enters the corridor. They see a young man is lying on the bed- his eyes wide open. He was looking in the distance- lost in a long dream forever. He was wearing a yellow color night suit. The front portion of the suit was covered in blood. The body was turned towards the right side. From that side only the blood flowed from the wound and spilled on the bed. Maybe it even seeped through the bedsheet into the mattress. All three of the detectives bend towards the body.
ACP : Whether anyone heard the bullet being fired ?
On hearing this the Manager's eyes pop open
Manager : How did you know that bullets were fired ?
Freddy (smiles and again whispers in Purvi's ears) : See ACP knew that the man died by bullets by looking in his eyes.
ACP : his clothes have five round wounds- which do not look like knife wounds. Purvi moves towards the cupboard in the room. She opens the cupboard and sees that there is a man's suitcase there. Abhijit moves ahead and opens the dead man's shirt and checks the wounds. 2 bullets have entered his chest, 2 in his stomach and 1 below his stomach and one in his shoulder.
Abhijit : Daya , it looks like an immediate death. Daya turns and looks at the manager and now walks towards him.
Daya : How did you discover that a murder took place here... Manager looks at Daya that he asked a foolish question.
Manager- when the firecrackers sounds were heard...everyone came running out from their rooms.
Daya- did anyone see anyone running away from this room.
Manager- no sir..
Daya- no one run?
Manager- if they had run - they would have been seen running.
Abhijit- how did you enter his room.
Manager is about to say that they entered by becoming birds and flying into the room.
Abhijit- this room was closed or open.
Manager- open.
ACP- The room was open that means the killer had run away already.
Manager- no sir.
The CID team is shocked and their mouths drop open. They look at each other too.
Abhijit- if the killer did not run then where is he...
Manager- sitting in the next room.
Abhijit is shocked to get this answer. He wants to say a lot- but his brain does not cooperate.
Abhijit-sitti...
Manager sees that Abhijit cannot complete the sentence and so does it for him. Manager- sitting in the next room
ACP- what do you mean by next room...
Manager- room no 667..
The three of them reach room No 667 and see that there is a beautiful girl seated there...she is wearing a light green top and expensive jeans, expensive heeled shoes and expensive watch on her hand. The most dangerous thing about this girl was that she was holding a gun in her hand.
ACP : Look , lower your guns . And surrender yourself to law. You can't run now.
Girl (Shouting ) : Who wants to run ? I have committed a crime & I accept it ! I am ready for punishment . Come on , hang me !
CID & Purvi arrested the girl on the basis of circumstantial evidence & took her to bureau for further investigations .
ACP ( in bureau ) : Ok ! Here we are ! But let me warn you , whatever you speak from here on , can be used as proof against you. You can even call your lawyer if you wish . What's your name ?
Girl : Sonia .
ACP : Ok , Sonia ! Do confess here what you wanted to confess.
Sonia : Confession ? Which confession ?
All are shocked to see her sudden change in behavior. Everybody looks at each other
ACP : Confession of Murder ! The same murder you committed in that hotel & confessed there .
Sonia : M... M... Murder ? W.. what are you talking about ? I haven't done anything .
ACP : What ? You confessed there. You killed hotel owner's friend . Don't you remember anything ?
Sonia : No sir , believe me ! I haven't done anything . I don't even know this man . Why I will kill him ?
She starts to cry .
Daya : Sir , I think she is speaking the truth . There is more to this case than what we are seeing
ACP (Sarcastic) : Acha ? You seems to know everything . Can u tell who is murderer ?
Daya : Sir , I am only saying , that let's examine her by Dr. Salunkhe . If he can say something , it will be helpful .
ACP : (Stares at him with little angry look ) OK !
And then next day ACP with team arrives at forensic lab.
ACP : Yes Salunkhe ? Have you found out anything ?
Salunkhe : Boss , this girl is not a murderer !
ACP : What ? Now what's this new drama Salunkhe ?
Salunkhe : This is not drama boss. This is the truth . I think this girl is hypnotized.
ACP : What do you mean by you 'think ' ?
Salunkhe : Am not sure . Because I couldn't find anything to prove. I couldn't find the way or method by which she is hypnotized. And why her hypnosis triggers only at certain time ?
ACP : Exactly ! This means she is not hypnotized . Simple !
Salunkhe : No boss ! Her eyes & other conditions show that. I have a theory that there was / is something in the hotel. That's why she behaved like that .
Freddy : EEW ! That means there is g...ghost !
ACP : Freddy , keep mum ! And Salunkhe , if you are going to tell those weird supernatural fake stories in the name of your theory ...
Suddenly a man enters in the cabin .
ACP (Very angry ) : Yes ? Who are you ? Who gave you permission to enter ? This is our private discussion .
Man : I am sorry sir. But I can't help. I am hotel owner Rajiv. My friend Sanjiv is murdered , that girl have confessed the crime ! Then why still CID is not putting her in jail ? Why CID isn't doing a case against her in court ? Why she isn't charged?
Abhijeet : Look Mr. , everything needs to be done by law. We will do it accordingly.
Rajeev : But when ? He was not just my friend but also business partner . And was like my brother . If you don't do anything , I will have to talk with commissioner sir then !
Before anyone could reply , that man went out angrily .
ACP : This man looks fishy. Keep close watch on him .
Sonia remains in custody .
Next day ACP again goes to Salunkhe .
ACP : Yes Salunkhe , have you found anything ? Pressure is rising on me to solve the case quickly .
Salunkhe : First , let me talk with that girl again !
ACP takes Salunkhe to meet her in bureau. There Freddy is watching cricket match.
ACP (shouts): Freddy! What are you doing?
Freddy: Oops! Sorry Sir Today was important match for India. So I thought let's watch for some time.
Sonia suddenly starts to shout.
Sonia: Why are we still standing here? I have confessed my crime. Come on hang me!
ACP quickly runs in the cabin.
ACP: Come on quickly give your confession. I will write it.
Sonia: Which confession?
ACP : Salunkhe now tell me why she is behaving like this here? This is not the hotel room. So your theory is wrong here.
Salunkhe : No Please give me one more day. I will personally stay in room no 667. And then tomorrow I will give you answer.
ACP: OK! One day & not more! Otherwise we have to perform our legal duties.
Salunkhe leaves. Sonia remains in CID custody.
Next day Salunkhe comes smiling.
ACP: Yes Salunkhe, what's new theory?
Salunkhe : No theories boss. Now it's time for solution.
All visit Sonia in custody.
Salunkhe: Ok , Tell me did you really murdered the man?
Sonia : No Sir, Believe me
Salunkhe : Then what actually happened?
Salunkhe asks with showing her his mobile phone screen.
Sonia (shouts): What you want? I told you I have killed him! Hang Me!
Now all CID team looks at her with horror in the eyes.
Salunkhe : Do you want to stop this?
ACP : How can you stop this?
Salunkhe removes his mobile screen from front of her & she cool down.
ACP : What is all this? Tell me what you did?
Salunkhe : Boss this girl is hypnotized with hotel room no 666 tag. She was in room no 667 when she murdered that man. The room no 666 is clearly visible from there. She saw it & got hypnotized. Also 2nd time.
ACP : But room door wasn't here? Was It? Neither the tag.
Salunkhe : Room or tag isn't important boss. Number is important.
ACP: Number?
Salunkhe : Yes 666 ! I was thinking, yesterday Freddy was watching cricket match. That batsman hit three sixes in a row. And then what was scrolling, on TV screen below? " This over 6 6 6 ". That was enough for her. And today I just showed her my phone. 666 is typed on it by me. And it's over.
Daya: Then who could have done this?
Abhijeet: Who else? Owner himself. He was knowing everything about hotel. So he did it.
Sachin comes .
Sachin : Sir , we have got an important news . After Sanjiv's death ,his most of money & entire business will be of Rajiv's . And Rajiv's bank account is suddenly very much healthy. Before that he was in so much debt.
ACP : Good ! Now we have got proof also . Go arrest him !
All rush to his house. He tries to get fast on his bike.CID chases him. After thrilling chase CID catches him. After Dayas's slap :
Rajiv : Yes . I did all this. Because my friend was also business partner & his profit share was high. I was in need of money. I was in severe debts. And after him , only I was nominee. I was not knowing that girl Sonia at all. My plan was to hypnotize her well before . I found out that this girl is coming as guest , so I found out more about her . And then I hypnotized her with 666 as trigger to go in hypnosis on her way to home from office.
Finally ACP says for this you will probably get death penalty.
(Totally fictional . Sorry if somebody's sentiments towards any character are hurt in the story . But it's totally unintentional)
