Adi sir had acted in a serial called '9 Malabar Hills' around 1997-98 I think. My mom used to watch it regularly.

I just had a look in fast forward.

1. his name is not mentioned in the cast 😡

2. He is a kind of supporting actor. Pavan Malhotra is the hero, Adi sir's sister loves Pavan Malhotra's character and he in turn loves Renuka Shahane. I can expect some nice acting from Adi sir.

3. I saw another episode where Adi sir was saving a little girl and taking her to her father.

About 60 episodes...so will take some time out to watch this.

His name is there in the opening titles - along with his video clip. I binge watched many episodes - he plays an important role in the story.
