Loyalty of viewers is what that has kept the show going despite the drastic decline in the quality of stories. It is hard for a loyal CID fan to describe CID in just a few words. CID has always been a flawless blend of mind-boggling investigation, chill-inducing brave acts, nerve-tingling facts deduced by the forensic department and the heart-rending bonding which triggers in them the will to sacrifice their own lives for the sake of duty and this is what a true CIDian will say.
To be an ideal detective, a great deal of investigation needs to be done. With crimes on the rise in the 21st century, the criminals are growing careful not to leave anything behind that may cost them dear. It is up to the protagonists to leave no stone unturned to pick up even a tiny bit of evidence with accurate and sharp investigative skills and use the same evidence to unearth the remaining pieces of the puzzle and catch the criminal and our CID team has been doing it remarkably well.
Cowardice has no role inside this elite team of detectives. Even in the most dangerous situations, they use even the last bit of their courage left to accomplish their task, even if it means plunging to their deaths. The CID cops, in every situation they face, never fail to prove their bravery in every case they investigate.
Down the years, the forensic department has played a vital role in the success of every case that CID has undertaken. It is quite unnerving as to how the department unearths very delicately hidden stuff to help solving the case. Although questions arise many a time as to how a forensic expert can find an antidote for a poison within hours, the department has been a part and parcel of CID through 18 years.
When bound by duty, sacrifices are to be made and sometimes it also means giving up your own life. Our cops were never hesitant to put their lives at stake for the sake of their colleagues. Many examples can be cited. Few of them being Abhijeet in Coma and Aazadi Ki Jung where Abhijeet takes in the bullet fired at Daya. Another case is Mad Bomber, where Aditi sacrifices herself. In the Face Off series our ACP sir shoots down his own son. In yet another episode Case of Father's Revenge , we see Daya rescues a child from a bomb blast but he himself is severely injured. With every instance it is proved that our officers would put even their own lives at stake for the sake of duty.
Blood and sacrifice aside, the one thing that keeps the team closely knit is the impeccable rapport that they share among themselves. When one is in danger, the entire team gets together and formulates a plan to save him. It is extremely delightful to see our cops laugh and tease each other heartily apart from holding guns with fiery eyes.
