Shaapit Case: 20^th December, 2015

We see a girl carrying a lantern apparently looking for something when she sees a ghost named Anjali. She is appalled and the ghost warns her to give up the case else she would be dead. One man hands over something to her, seeing which she chokes and falls down, her lantern's glass splitting and the fire spreads.

The waiters at Sweet Memory Restaurant are cleaning the place when the owner arrives and sees a drum. None of the waiters knows what is contained in it and the waiters reckon that Nina might know it. Nina, the manager arrives and denies knowing anything and she asks the waiter to open the drum Opening it, they find a girl's corpse.

Dheeraj, the owner tells that girl was Suruchi, a waitress in his restaurant. Nina tells that she had last seen Suruchi the previous night when she had dropped her off at home. Salunkhe sir tells that she'd been poisoned, but she'd not died in the drum, because there were no traces of any poisonous stuff inside the drum.

Reaching Suruchi's house, they find the house burnt wholly. They ask a lady when it happened and she tells them that it had happened the previous night but thankfully Suruchi had not been at home. Suruchi lived alone and had moved here only few months ago. At that time Daya sir calls Abhi sir and tells that Suruchi was an undercover cop who worked on a two year old case and he gives the case number to him.

ACP sir, Abhi sir and Pankaj go the archives and ask the old man for the same case file. He asks if Suruchi is dead and tells resentfully that he had warned her to not take up the case. When the three go near the file, he tells them to think once again before touching the file because anyone who touched the file had either gone mad, or dead or gone missing. They tell him to shut up and read the case. Anjali was a waitress in Sweet Memory Restaurant. One day the restaurant burned down to ashes and Anjali died in the flames. Abhijeet sir passes the file to Pankaj and walks away.

In the bureau Daya sir asks Shreya to locate Suruchi's locations of the past week using the GPS signals. They find that I addition to the place she'd been normally visiting, she'd also been visiting Puspak Theatre, 4 times a week, till Tuesday, the day she was murdered. She'd stayed there only for an hour.

In Puspak theatre, ACP sir asks a guard named Bahadur, who says that Suruchi had come 4 times the previous week alone and while she had been there, she had conversations with Ritvik, who sold tickets at counter number 3. They go to Counter number 3 and show him Suruchi's photo. He tells the team that his shift would be over in 5 mins and that he'd tell them everything. In the meanwhile they lean from Bahadur that Ritvik had been working for 2 years. Then they hear a commotion and find a man buying tickets, struggling to breathe. He collapses to the floor and dies. Jayawanti finds Ritvik dead too. Tarike tells that the guy who had collapsed and died was given a fairly less amount of poison. They go inside the counter room and Salunkhe sir tells that the poison had been sprayed from outside to inside. The guy who collapsed had been an unintentional victim. ACP sir asks Jayawanti to get the CCTV footage. Salunkhe sir and ACP sir rush to find Freddy sir and Sachin sir, because they had brought Ritvik out and the gas had apparently been inside the room then. They find them and Salunkhe sir gives a quick antidote and Vansh takes them to the hospital. Jayawanti brings the CCTV footage and they find their culprit's face masked by a dupatta. In the drawer, they find the note before the last one to be the cuplrit's. Smelling it, Salunkhe sir identifies it to be of the antidote. He sprays something and they find the mark of the culprit's ring embedded on it.

In the bureau, Purvi tells that it was a man in female's costumes at the counter. The person was Nitin who killed people when given money.

In Ritvik's house his mother cries telling he was such a simple, straightforward person. ACP sir asks Jayawanti and Pankaj to search the house. Abhi sir notices a photo of Ritvik and a girl during their engagement. He tells the mother that it was an original diamond ring that the fiance was wearing, worth at least 4 lakhs. Pankaj finds a diary concealed in the atta box.

Daya sir, Nikhil and Purvi go to Nitin's house but they get no response. The laundry wala tells them that Nitin is not at home and he asks the team to wait while he goes in telling he'd get tea for them. He goes inside and calls Nitin.

ACP sir and co come outside the house with the diary and they find many theatre related stuffs written on it. They decipher it as Khooni Parinde, Love Pyaar Hum Tum. The rest of the details seemed to be names of people and something to do with money. They decide to check the CCTV footage of the place.

Daya sir and co are waiting for Nitin here. When the laundry wala comes, Daya sir thanks him for the hospitality and leaves. The laundry wala goes inside a room and tells that Nitin should leave the place for some days. When the two come out, Daya sir, Purvi and Nikhil surround the two. Nitin threatens with the spray. However they catch him. Nitin tells that he doesn't know who gave him the orders. He tells that he only receives money and the order as to who should be killed, where and when and he kills them. They take the two to the bureau.

In the bureau they call Sameer, Anil and another lady. Initially they deny doing any such thing as giving large amount of money for one ticket but later Anil confesses that he had been blackmailed. The other two also tell the same thing. When asked where their problem started, all the three give the same answer- Sweet Memory Restaurant.

We see Shreya in disguise at the restaurant and she is later joined by Sachin in disguise. Sachin blackmails Shreya to give him the money he wanted. Shreya tells him to shut up. Shreay then gives him a diamond ring and the matter finishes.

At home, (as expected) Shreya gets the call from the blackmailer and he says id she didn't give them money, he's give the recording to CID. She says she'd do anything to not get caught. ACP sir and Daya sir are in the house and Daya sir gives the antidote to Shreya and the two seniors wish her luck.

Shreya comes in with the money and the so-called Anjali's ghost confronts her. She says she knows who Shreya actually is and then motions her towards the laptop which shows a bomb under the team's car. Soon people surround her and the girl warns her that if she wishes her team to be alive, then she must open the box kept to Shreya's right side. She inches closer towards the box.

The team is on the way when Shreya calls Abhijeet sir and warns about the bomb. The immediately take it out. Daya sir suggests removing the dynamite but Shreya tells them that the bomb will explode if they do it. She asks them to throw it away. Just when he throws the bomb explodes. ACP sir asks Shreya on the phone, But Shreya's voice ceases as she apologizes. Another girl taunts Shreya for being so brave and saving the lives of her colleagues.

The team arrives at the place and a fight takes place. Finally they give the antidote and revive Shreya who tells there's another girl in the group. Purvi goes in search of the same. She finds Nina- the manager. Nina says that she was forced to kill Anjali who was constantly asking her for money. So after killing her, they'd set fire to the restaurant hoping no one would suspect them. When the work resumed at the restaurant they had started to blackmail people by recording their voices. Amrita got involved because her face went close with Anjali's and so they used her as Anjali's ghost. ACP sir says that for want of money, they'd blackmailed others and killed innocent lives and delivers the phansi dialogue.
