A man is walking down an empty street complaining about the network when he hears a man begging to be let go. He bends down to see a man begging to some other people about being let go and that they are doing wrong and will kill a lot of people. He's killed and then Daya appears asking why they committed the murder. He spots the witness and the goons run after him, but the witness hides, using his presence of mind. He then reappears, suddenly has phone service, and is about to call someone when Daya catches him and says that he has to die for appearing at the wrong place at the wrong time. He fires 2 shots.
The next morning Abhijeet, Freddy, Jaywanti, Pankaj, and Vansh reach the site where another witness directs them to the body. Abhijeet, Freddy, and Pankaj, and Jaywanti check the body and the surrounding area. Freddy doesn't find anything in the pockets and Jaywanti assumes the murder was committed for robbery. (How about hiding someone's identity? Ever heard of such a thing Jaywanti?) Pankaj spots the witness who is also dead and he doesn't have anything either. Abhijeet deduces that the murderer may be hiding the identities. Abhijeet spots a shot in the shoulder. (My guess is that it's Daya's shot.)
The ambulance is about to take the 2 bodies away when they hear a voice. One wardboy goes into the back to find the sheet removed from the witness's face. He covers the witness's face again and is leaving when the witness grabs his hand and sits up and begs to be saved before falling again.
ACP Pradyuman, Sachin, and Freddy are discussing the case. Freddy says he's never seen a case where a dead man is alive. Dr. Salunkhe explains that zenium led to Ramesh, the witness, looking like he was dead. Purvi asks what the chemical does. ACP Pradyuman explains that it stops the heart beat, pulse, and breathing capabilities of a person and Dr. Salunkhe adds that it works for 12 hours. (Chalo ek naya chemical with longer lasting capabilities. BTW a Google search reveals that Zenium is the name of data centres. 😉) Sachin asks Ramesh what he ate before falling unconscious. (He ate a bullet. 😆 BTW there's suddenly no shoulder wound and it doesn't look like it's been treated either. Case of the Missing Wound. 😕) Dr. Salunkhe says that it affects a person within 15 to 20 seconds. (There goes my first statement out the window. Kyun, kyun, kyun! *hits head against wall*) ACP Pradyuman gets angry asking what happened for zenium to go into his system. (There was no need for ACP Pradyuman to get so aggressive. ) ACP Pradyuman asks Dr. Salunkhe to check. (Ah the shoulder wound has been treated. But why no wound or blood on the shirt.) Dr. Salunkhe finds a wound near the stomach. (Err...why didn't the doctors find it?) Sachin wonders why someone did all this. ACP Pradyuman asks him what happened and Ramesh recalls the events of the night before. He remembers that Daya said that he would get rid of the body to the other goons. Ramesh says he'll never forget the face. ACP Pradyuman asks for the sketch to be made.
Daya is talking to the head of the goons and asks if he was called for timepass. The head asks him as Janis if he's married. Janis refuses. The head talks about a newly wedded bride and compares Janis to a bride. (What a bad analogy. But makes sense.) Bua, the head's man, claims that they will get the information about the big fish soon. Another man says not only that but we'll also get 2 big crocodiles. Daya is looking tense as he doesn't understand anything.
At the airport, someone looks tense while waiting for his bag. Then the security head comes to him and asks for his passport. He searches his pockets and hands over his passport. The man is coming from Dubai. He claims he went there for a vacation, but didn't leave his hotel room because he liked it a lot. He looks very tense and the security head seems amused. The man's bag comes out and the man suddenly starts getting seizures and collapses.
In the bureau, ACP Pradyuman gets angry on seeing Daya's sketch. Ramesh claims that this was the same man. Sachin calls Daya, but the phone is off and has been off since yesterday. (Err the first part I get...but the second part? And technically even a CID officer has to come to work everyday right? So why didn't anyone wonder where Daya was yesterday.) Freddy wonders if something happened to him. ACP Pradyuman says Daya must be stuck somewhere and wonders how Daya got caught in everything.
*24 hours earlier* (Finally! Now we can see how everything actually happened!)
Daya is driving along when a car suddenly passes him rashly and is driving erratically. Daya starts following and sees the car go off the road. He checks to find the man is dead and sees a knife in an open bag in the back. (He also mouthed Oh no about 5 times. Oh no. 😛) Daya checks the back seat and finds money, a chemical, knife, gun, rifle, and fake IDs. Daya deduces the man is a contract killer. (Yeah and because I have a picture of the Minions plastered all over my car I'm the director of the Minions. Right? I actually don't so it's just an example.) Daya finds his phone and his fingerprint is the password. Daya logs on and checks the phone to get to the most important message of something in room # 422 of Blue Star Hotel. Daya's phone's battery dies at that time and so he goes himself to check. Daya reaches the hotel at the right time and rings the bell of the hotel room. The goons check and then let him in. Daya makes no mention as to who he is and the head honcho refers to him as Janis and reveals that he's deposited half the money in his account and the other half will be given after the work. Daya asks what the work is, but the head reveals he'll find out on time. Bua asks him why his voice is different. Daya, in a girl's voice, claims he can speak in a 105 voices because no one knows when he has to use which one. (Damn man the sudden change to the girl's voice had me surprised for the first 5 seconds. By the time I reacted it was over so I had to go back. Too good! 😆) The head is impressed. (Make that 2 of us man.) Bua suspects Daya and asks the riddle after the head agrees. Daya answers the riddle correctly from what he saw on the phone. (Yeah what a contract killer. He keeps such important information on his phone.) The head then asks for everyone's mobile phones. Daya hands over his phone as well. Bua asks if he has any other phone and then searches him and finds the other phone.
*The flashback ends.*
ACP Pradyuman asks Ramesh if he heard anything. Ramesh says someone said that the parcel would arrive tomorrow. Then he gets a call.
In an operation theatre, the man from the airport is being operated on. ACP Pradyuman, Sachin, and Purvi walk right into the operation theatre. (Wah hygiene ki toh maan behen kar daali. Pardon my French.) The doctor pulls out a sausage shaped package, which ACP Pradyuman deduces is expensive drugs. The doctor agrees and says that when the package exploded it killed him. The doctor didn't find out anything else. Sachin suggests that the drugs may be the parcel. (Right. And I'm the Queen of England because my sister calls me Your Majesty when she's angry. You don't connect 2 cases without any proof!)
The head is happy and tells Janis that the man he has to kill has arrived. The dead man's news reaches the head. The man also tells the head that CID is searching for Janis. The head asks Janis how CID found out about him. (Idiot if Janis is really a big contract killer then the police are probably always searching for him! Giving importance to such stupidity.) Janis claims someone else must have told them. It must have been Bua. The head claims Bua has been with him for the past 10 years. Janis says to check the phone box. Daya covertly puts the phone into Raka's pocket when the box arrives, which is found. (Reminds me of many Bollywood movies. Three that pop up are Johnny Mera Naam, Dulhe Raja, and Xcuse Me.) Bua is about to kill him, but the head stops him and he is taken away. The head says it's time for the cricket match and tells Janis to hit a century. Daya says he'll hit a double century.
Daya knocks on a door and claims that it's their hotel's anniversary and he's brought a complimentary cake. Vinod, the guard, opens the door and as he gets closer to Daya, Daya knocks him out. Then he brings out a gun and the man starts getting scared. Daya fires the shot and then escapes with Bua and another man. (Daya didn't kill him. Likh ke le lo. In fact maine likh hi diya hai. 😆)
ACP Pradyuman, Sachin, Freddy, and Purvi reach the hotel room where Daya was seen and go into the room after seeing blood outside a door. They go in to find the unconscious guard and Sunil, Oceanic Industries' owner, alive. (Err neither of them is bleeding. So where did the blood come from? FW at least check your facts! Oh and btw I'm right! 😉) As they help him, Sachin spots a bullet hole in the wall. ACP Pradyuman asks what happened here. Sunil says that a man came to kill him and left without killing him. ACP Pradyuman shows Daya's photo and Sunil recognizes him. ACP Pradyuman says that he's an undercover CID officer. Sunil claims something bad is about to happen and he's here to stop it. Sunil says that his new energy drink can kill people because it has a drug named Manthura that if people get addicted to it can finish them. ACP Pradyuman says that the airport man died because of the same drug. (Yeh lo Mathura ko Manthura kar diya aur naya drug bana diya. Kudos FW. Kudos. 🥱) Sunil says that he's retired and his nephew is running the company. Sachin says that the drink is being promoted in Aqua Mall where thousands of people will get the drink for free. Sunil asks them to stop this event.
The large event is on at the Aqua Mall. People start trying the drink while the head and his men are watching and enjoying. Daya, meanwhile, catches a man and demands to know what is going to happen in the mall. He gets a nice beating and then on gunpoint the man reveals that there is an energy drink being released here and that's all he knows. The head calls the nephew and congratulates him and asks for his money. Then ACP Pradyuman, Sachin, Freddy and Purvi reach there and stop people from drinking the drink. Sunil is with them. The head is shocked to see Sunil. They start to leave, but Daya stops them. ACP Pradyuman says langur ki duum (Bahahahahahahahaha! 🤣) and introduces Daya as a CID officer. Daya and Freddy have their guns drawn. The head claims that he would have killed Daya if he had known. Daya delivers a slap. Then Sunil spots his nephew and Daya catches him and introduces himself as the nephew's mama.
The nephew claims that his business was failing and Sunil wasn't helping. That's why he mixed the drugs so that people didn't stop drinking the energy drink. Sunil is angry. ACP Pradyuman delivers the final dialogue.
Rating and comments: I must say that overall the episode was really good. I liked it and it was well-investigated. And Daya wasn't in some OTT disguise, but in a nice, realistic mission. Overall I would give it a 3.5 though thanks to loopholes.
