A few years ago (maybe seventh grade) , there was an early dismissal from religious school, so someone dropped me off at my house (I was in a carpool) however, I had forgotten that no one was at home and that no one was informed of me coming home early. I started walking to a family friend's house, then came back because I didn't know what I would say most I walked back to my house and got really scared. I remembered that my parents had taken my brother to the doctor so they could fill out a form (our doctor's office is 30-45 minutes away). Luckily, a lady that lives across the street noticed me and called me over. She told me to come inside with her so I can call my parents.

Oh how I wished I had a cell phone back then, so I could have at least informed them that I was coming home early.
