1.How did u come to watch cid for the first time.?(you might remember]
Back in 7th class, I used to watch Disney Hour everyday at 6:00 PM and the "CID Files" re-run began to air every weekend right after that. Everybody in my family including me likes crime shows and thrillers, and thus we kept the TV on to watch. It was the "Case of the Poisoned Chocolates". Probably not one most are that closely acquainted with, but you know how every single episode of the Golden Era is special in some way. We were hooked by the dazzling investigation and suspense. The rest, as they say, is history.
2.Any perticulur reason for watching cid?
From the beginning, not really just one. It began with my love for crime thrillers, investigation and forensic science, back when we still had well researched, written and executed stories. Obviously I grew attached to our magnificent team, our five pillars and also Asha and Sudhakar back then. It is a great privilege to see my beloved ACP sir, Abhijeet sir, Daya sir, Freddy sir and Salunkhe sir on screen to this day, just as excellent if not better. Other notable members like Dr. Niyati, Vivek and Tasha were also instrumental in keeping up my interest and inspiration back then. Now Purvi is a vital reason for me continuing to watch. I have highest respect and admiration for all these amazing people.
3.Has cid been a inspiring aspects of your life?If possible to describe then how?
More than I can say. First and foremost, Dr. Salunkhe and his amazing forensic lab scenes/discussions were why I got interested in biology and medical science. ACP sir, Abhijeet sir and Daya sir have all greatly inspired me with their classic old centric cases like Blind Witness, Stolen Dynamite, Father's Revenge and many more. I got to learn so much about criminal psychology, crime awareness, and the art of writing good thrilling stories, plot development and characterization from these golden episodes.
Not to mention how much we all learned from our beloved cops about teamwork, friendship, courage, loyalty, sacrifice and perseverance through the years. Even in real, I'm always awed and humbled by how humble and down-to-earth all the actors are despite being part of the longest running and most well-known show on Indian television. They're like an ideal family together and are never in the news for the wrong reasons. I've never been interested in any actors except our CID members, they are the only ones whom I actively follow and whom I desire to meet someday. And of course, CID introduced me to IF which, wouldn't be hyperbole to say, has pretty much given me a second family. I brushed up my long forgotten hobbies of story writing, poetry and VM making. Now thanks to Ansha ma'am I've been inspired to learn Photoshop and have hopefully made significant progress.
Suffice to say CID has been instrumental in making me who I am today, and I love it more than anything else.
4.Is the need of time in the present world is shows like cid?
It's no big news that crimes are on the rise. We need awareness against crime, spreading knowledge about it and helping criminal psychology be more widely understood. And there's always a unique charm to good investigative and thrilling stories. And taking out the unfortunate OTT factor of recent cases, our cops and actors serve as an inspiration for many, for many already discussed reasons and rightly so. Even among crime shows, CID has a certain element of positivity and hope that I like. We know that real life can get seriously ugly and happy endings are the exception rather than the norm. But hope makes the world go round, and sometimes taking the blue pill isn't a bad idea. Despite the occasional corniness, I always admire our show for that.
Sorry, I was feeling expansive. 😛 😆
