Scene 1 " A Mansion
The episode begins at nighttime outside a spooky-looking mansion into which we see an unidentified lady in a white sari entering. Shortly, a car drives up to the mansion. Five youngsters, apparently there to shoot some documentary, dismount and meet the caretaker there. He informs them that theres a power outage in the mansion and introduces them to his wife and daughter. One of the three boys hands the caretaker cash and assures that theyll leave by the morning as promised. They enter the mansion and start exploring and chit-chatting. After a while their cameraman, Kunal, wanders off to film by himself. We see a shadow moving behind him. The others start searching for him and eventually find him lying on the floor in one of the rooms, dead. One of the girls rings up the CID.
Scene 2 " The Crime Scene
Daya sir, Purvi, Sachin and Nikhil are seen investigating at the crime scene. Daya sir notes that there are no visible wounds on the corpse. Purvi points out the terrified expression frozen on the guys face and construes that he mustve witnessed something frightening that couldve led to a heart attack. Daya sir questions Kunals friends, who explain how he wandered off and there was no scream or any other sound to be heard. The caretaker informs him that the mansion is government property as its owners had no heirs. A couple of neighbours there claim that the mansion is haunted by evil spirits, which Daya sir dismisses. Sachin takes Kunals camera, and they decide to check its footage to see if the attacker was captured in it.
Scene 3 " The CID Bureau
Purvi enters the bureau and informs ACP sir about the mansions history " it was once owned by one Shera who murdered his wife for money and sold it off to a man called Dhananjay, who passed away five years back without any heirs and thus the place came under government control. Shera was arrested and the locals invented superstitious tales about the ghost of Sheras wife haunting the mansion. Pankaj prepares the camera recording, in which they hear the faint creaking sound of a door. ACP sir notes that its certainly a signal of the killers entry. He wonders who it was and how they managed to kill Kunal.
Scene 4 " The Forensic Lab
In the forensic lab, Dr. Salunkhe and Dr. Tarika show Abhijeet sir the cramps on Kunals body, indicating that he suffered from paralysis before being murdered. Dr. Salunkhe informs them that Kunal was a diabetic and somebody swapped his insulin injection with a lethal poison which is yet to be identified. Abhijeet sir says that only someone close to Kunal couldve done that, and asks Fredericks to have his friends summoned to the bureau.
Scene 5 " The CID Bureau
ACP sir points out to the youngsters that theyre prime suspects since, in their own words, there was nobody in the mansion apart from them. They say that the caretaker couldve done it out of greed, and one of the girls recalls that she had caught a fleeting glimpse of somebody in the mansion on entering it. They start playing a blame game and pointing out petty arguments each had with Kunal. ACP sir observes for a while and finally decides to let them go. He instructs Sachin to keep an eye on them and also search the mansion a second time for clues.
Scene 6 - Mansion
Daya sir, Purvi, Sachin and Nikhil arrive at the mansion once more and start searching it thoroughly, but still find nothing substantial. Purvi notes that the killer seems to have removed all evidence " something only one with full access to the mansion can do, as Daya sir points out. She also wonders how come nobody heard Kunals scream of pain when he was injected with the poison. Daya sir construes that he mustve been injected before entering the mansion, implying that his friends mustve been involved in the deed. At that moment, they hear Nikhil screaming in the room where Kunal was murdered. They rush there and find the door bolted from within; Daya sir breaks it open but they fail to find Nikhil inside. Daya sir finds stains of blood upon the bed and unlocked window. Daya sir sends Sachin to look for Nikhil outside and asks Purvi to collect the blood samples to match with Nikhils.
Scene 7 " The Forensic Lab
In the forensic lab, Dr. Salunkhe informs Abhijeet sir and the others that the blood found in the mansion isnt Nikhils, and the poison used to murder Kunal is a certain Baxter-something (sorry, couldnt catch the name 🤓) that also causes paralysis, and is only available at two labs in the city " Trinity and Vesco (?). Abhijeet sir decides to enquire about the poison at both these labs.
Scene 8 " Murder Room
Daya sir, Purvi and Sachin visit the murder room again; Sachin says that there must certainly be some secret entrance into the room. They search it, and eventually Sachin and Purvi find a hidden trapdoor under the bed. All three of them uncover it to find stairs leading to a small cellar underground where they find an unconscious Nikhil bound and gagged. They quickly untie him; Sachin calls for an ambulance while Purvi finds an earring lying on the ground nearby. Together, they carry Nikhil out of the cellar.
Scene 9 " A Lab
Abhijeet sir and the others enter one of the two labs in question to enquire about the Baxter-whatsitsname poison. They inform the lead scientist that the poison is out of stock at the Trinity lab and therefore couldve only been taken from here. The scientist claims that they store the poison most securely, but upon checking he finds half of it gone. Hes shocked and says that the place is guarded firmly to keep outsiders away. The security guys are questioned and claim that nobody except the assistant Rahul had entered the lab. The scientist informs them that Rahul is AWOL that day. Abhijeet sir asks for his photo and residential address.
Scene 10 " Rahuls House
Abhijeet sir, Freddy and Shreya enter Rahuls house and are susprised to see how lavish it is, implying that he was involved in shady deals. They search it thoroughly and Shreya finds Rahuls corpse under one of the beds. Abhijeet sir notes that he seems to have been stabbed to death around an hour or a half ago. He notes that the killer first used Rahul to obtain the poison and then disposed of him for his/her safety.
Scene 11 " The CID Bureau
ACP sir examines the earring and notes that its similar to the ones used in historical and mythological films. Purvi says that the killer could be some actor portraying the ghost in the mansion, while Sachin points out that Nikhil had fainted before he could see the assailant. ACP sir notes G.S written on part of the earring and instructs Sachin to find out if theres any costume dealer with such initials in the city.
Scene 12 " A Shop
Sachin, Purvi and Pankaj enquire about the earring at a shop, whose owner tells them that its indeed theirs and was rented to one Sarovar Drama Company last week for a play titled Baatein Tumhari Meri. Sachin decides to make an enquiry at the said company.
Scene 13 " Sarovar Drama Company
At the company office, Purvi informs Sachin with relief that Nikhil has recovered. An employee there provides them with a list of all technicians and artistes involved with the play in question. Sachin is startled to see one particular name in there.
Scene 14 " The Caretakers House
Daya sir, Purvi, Sachin and Nikhil revisit the mansion and question the caretaker. He admits that he had taken the earring from the GS shop as he likes to take part in plays and dramas, but insists that he isnt involved in the murder. He also claims to know nothing about the secret door in the mansion. He adds that he had kept the earring in his house with his belongings. Sachin wonders if the killer stole the earring to frame him. The caretaker says that theres currently nobody except him and his daughter Rupali in that place. Purvi asks for her whereabouts; he says that shes out for work and will be back in the evening.
Scene 15 " Mansion (outside)
We see our cops in hidden positions outside the mansion, to apprehend the ghost who apparently haunts the place. Eventually the white sari girl, none other than Rupali, turns up and meets a guy there who turns out to be one of Kunals friends, Vikrant. They start cheering for apparently invading the CID, before the same turns up right in front of them. The two try to escape, but are captured. Purvi does the honours of handing Rupali a tight SLAP. 
Scene 16 " The CID Bureau
Rupali and Vikrant confess that the government was about to auction off the mansion and they wished to seize it. Therefore they invented the ghost story to scare off all other bidders and get a chance to buy the mansion at a dirt cheap price. Sachin angrily remarks that they nearly killed Nikhil in course of their plan as well. ACP sir points out that the fatal mistake of leaving behind the earring in the hidden cellar led to them being captured. Vikrant says that he deliberately kept it there to frame Rupalis father. ACP sir condemns their cruel deeds and says that the two of them will be executed for the same.
