strange case of the missing statue

SCENE 1-

The mueseum of artifacts located beside the central market in mumbai was considered one of the most famous mueseums in India. Old mud statues, marble statues, paintings from the renissance age, old pots, jwelleries and all the other major artifacts which had found were placed in this museum. People used to say that if you visit mumbai, visiting the museums of artifacts is a must, everyone who visits mumbai must visit this museum at least once (people had to make many trips as it was a large four storyed building, its campus bigger than that of any colege).

More than its size and splendid artifacts another thing it was famous for was it's security. Outside every new section stood a security gaurd, there were cameras fitted above each and every artifact Even the artifacts were placed under pyrex glass, which is a very tough and difficult to break one. It can even resist heat upto 3000 c. a fantastic alarm system had been fitted for each artifact.

The main gaurd of the museum looked at is watch 5pm "ahh museum ko aaj ke liye band karne ka samay aakhir aa hi gaya" he thought to himself Though the closing time was five o clock the museum daily shut down not before 5:30, becaus even after the announcement people still loitre around glaring at the artifacts, and the gaurds have to personally make sure the museum is empty before closing it and it takes about half an hour for he public to leave such a big building.

That night when one of the gaurds, Bhola was walking around the room of mud statues and looking at the artifacts humming to himself as usual he suddenly stopped, his eyes stunned, he saw something which would stay in his mind for ever, he saw his collegue, the gaurd Bahadur lying dead, blood flowing out from his chest and eyes shut tightly.

scene 2 (at the beareau)-

Muskaan was he first person to arrive that morning. She had barely put her purse in the locker and come back that Shreya enterd the room

"good morning shreya." Muskaan said with a smile
"hmm good morning muskaan." Shreya replied, she looked as if she was lost in deep thoughts and muskaan realized that
"Kya baat hai shreya, tum itni dhyaan se kya soch rahi ho?" Muskaan asked finally. Shreya looked up at her and said
"rehne de, tera bhi mood off ho jayega." Shreya said
"mood off ho jayega, aisa kaunsa baat hai shreya, aapni dost ko nahi baatyegi kya?"
"hmm theekh hai waisa tumhara mood off ho jayega magar sunna hai to suno."
"sunao.."
"DCP sir khud ko samjhte kya he yaar. Dusre case ke baad unhone hume kya promise kiya tha??? ki vo koi aur new cop ko humaare team mein nahi daalenge magar phir bhi unhone asha mam ko daala. Aur chalo vo theekh hai kyunki hum logon ko ek leader ki jaarurat thi magar aab, EK AUR SENIOR OFFCER AA RAHI HAI!!!!! " shreya said angrily

"kya!!! magar kyun, ek acp kaafi hai hume aur senior cops ki jaarurat nahi hai."
"aur nahi to kya."
"koi DCP ko jaa ke bolo ki bas aabhi aur nahi chaiye varna hum bhi ek crowded team ho jaayenge bas karo."
Just then Poorvi, Tasha, Kajal and ACP asha enter the beareau
"kya bas karo muskaan?" Tasha asked her
"yaar tasha shreya keh raahi hai ki humaare beareau mein ek new senior officer aa rahi hai."
Tasha looks at shreya who sadly nods
"Kya ek aur senior officer.. magar.. mam!" Poorvi says and turns towards asha
"haan poorvi mujhe kal hi malum hua. DCP sir ne naam to nahi bataya sirf itna kaha ki vo bhi meri tarah ek cop thi."

"hmm aapke alava mujhe jitna paata hai mam Kaveri, Lavanya, Divyaana..." Kajal says when muskaan interrupts
"Kya!!!!!!! Kabhi nahi mein divyana ko apni senior inspector kabhi nahi manungi, naa, never."

"calm down calm down muskaan, divyana to nahi, Kaveri aur lavanya hume thode samay baad join karenge abhi nahi magar tumhaari senior koi aur hai..." Asha said
"What!!! Kaveri aur lavanya bhi!." Poorvi said
"haan haan magar confirmed nahi hai poorvi, aur agar karenge bhi to tum log ke juniors ban kar."Asha said
"junior ho ya senior humaara yeh choota sa team kaafi hai hume aur kisi ki jaaruraat..." Kajal was saying as she was interupted by the ring of the phone. Shreya who was standing just beside the phone picked it up

"Hello cid bereau...Kya!...Kahan par...Theek hai hum log pahunchte hai." Saying so shreya placed the phone back
"Kya hua?" Asha asked
"Artifacts museum hai naa mam uhh vo central market ke baaju mein" Shreya started
'haan haan vo museum bahut famous hai kaafi suna hai uske baar mein"
"haan to mam vahan par watchgaurd ka khoon ho gaya hai.."

scene 3-

The black car drives up right in front the cid qualis parked right under the mango tree in front of the famous museum of artifacts and from the car walk out Dr. Niyati and Dr. Nyla. Two of cid teams most famous forensic experts.
As they entered the room where the team was investigating all the cops who had either crouched down beside the dead body or were looking about for some clues stood up.
When they saw the two enter the crime scene all of them especially muskaan(who had worked with both of them) were taken by shock
"kaisi ho muskaan?" Niyati asked
"main theekh hun doctor niyati magar aap doono yahan." Muskaan asks still shocked. Just then Asha who was talking with the director of the museum came there.
"Doctor Niyati and Doctor Nyla aane aap logon ne aane mein kaafi der kar di."
"sorry acp mam vo raste mein thodi traffic mil gayi na isliye"
meanwhile poorvi says aside to tasha and shreya-
"To yeh hai doctor niyati aur nyla, in dono ke baare mein bahut suna hai, ye log bhi pehele doctors the humaare forensic team."
"hmmm aisa lagta hai jaise rejoin kar liya Asha mam ki tarah." Tasha said
"kya! ye DCP saahab jahte kya hai, already kaveri and lavanya shayad join karenge, ek nai senior cop aayegi jo pehele cop thi. DCP sir CID ke ladkiyoon ka reunion karvaana chate hain kya????" Shreya asked
"Shreyu DCP sir ka shayad matlab definatly, but i agree with you yaar bahut zaada ho raha hai." poorvi said angrily
"chill winnie the poo and shreyu calm down."
"yaar tu mujhe winnie the poo bulana band kar tasha."
"oye mujhe kyun bol rahi hai, shreyu ko bol usi ne ye winnie the poo ka concept laaya."
"arre jhagad kyun rahe ho tum dono aur jhagadna bhi hai to mujhe kyun involve kar rahe ho, meine to poo ko uss din ke baad se ek baar bhi winnie the poo nahi bola." Shreya said.
"arre bas karo tum log abhi investigate karein." Muskaan said, as ACP Asha finished her conversation regarding the murder with the two experts.

As the doctors investigated the body, kajal assisted them, tasha and muskaan walked about the large room looking for clues shreya went to check the alarm system , poorvi went to collect all the CCTV footage and Asha spoke with the director-

"To sir ap ka kehena hai ki ye murder ek chori ke liya hua hai?"
"haan acp mam, artifact number 613 gayab hai." Asha walked to the empty case. The glass had a neat ovel cut in it with a diamond.
"pirex glass hai kisi mamuli diamond se itna bada aur neat ovel to nahi kategaa." Asha said
"Yes mam." Dr Nyla said walking to her
"aisa thick aur strong glass ko kaatne ke liye khaas diamond banvana padta hai, magar vo bahut mehenga hota hai."
"Hmm chalu ek clue to mil gaya khooni tak."
"Ek aur clue de sakte hain hum aapko mam."
"vo kya Dr. Nyla?"
"mam iss watchman par jis kisi ne bhi goli chalayi hai vo isse karreban 10 feet ki doori par tha aur jo gun khooni ne istemaal ki hai vo gun bhi mamuli nahi, ye sab hume uss bullet se pata chala jo hume iske shareer main mila."
"Hmmm Nyla wakai tum dono ne kaafi acha kaam kiya hai."

Kajal sends the body to forensic lab for further investigation while muskaan and tasha who had found no clue to the killer walk to her
"Bahut hi bada museum hai mam, aur jiss murti ki choori hui hai vo khaas egypt se display ke liye layi gayi thi. 100 crores ki hai, ye baat saaf hai ki khoon choori ke liye hi ki gayi he." Tasha said
"haan tasha." Just then shreya, who had gone to check the main alarm system came back looking alarmed
"Mam aapka shak saahi tha alarm system ke saath ched chad ki hai, aur jo gaurd alarm system ke paas rehta hai vo bhi gayab hai."
"Meri kahaani bhi same hai shreya." Poorvi said walking in

"Mam CCTV cameras ke saath bhi ched chaad ki hai. kisi ne saare footage mita diye hai, aur jo gaurds uss main room se sare cameras ke jariye museum par nazar rakhte hai vo teeno bhi gaayab hai." poorvi said
"hmmm muskaan ek kaam karo jis murti ki choori hui hai uss murti ke baare mein thodi jaankaari nikalo, pata lagao ki kya vo murti kisi auction mein gayi thi kya?"
"ok mam."
"tasha, tum aur shreya sheher ke har diamond shop mein jao aur pata lagao ki thick pirex glass ko kaatne ke liye jo diamond istemaal hota hai vaisa koi diamond kisi ne haal hi mein khaarida hain kya, aur poorvi Dr. Nyla se uss gun ke baare mein jankari lo jiss se is gaurd ka khoon hua hai aur sheher mein jitne bhi logon ke pass aise gun hai unki ek list le kar aao."

scene 4- (at the bureau)

Kajal and Asha are discussing over the murder and robbery in the mueum, when muskaan enters the beareau with a file in her hand
"Mam, ye murti ek puraane egyptian king ne banvaayi thi." Muskaan satrts
"Magar muskaaan, egyptian kings to mostly gold ke murtiyaan banate the na to ye mitti ki murti.." Kajal interrupts her
"haan kajal, magar archaeologists ka kehena hai ki ye kisi raja ne aapni beti ke liye banvayi thi magar miti ki murti kyun, gold ki kyun nahi vo abbhi ek raaz hai, isliye ye murti itni kimti hai, kyunki ye egypt mein se hardly kuch mii ki burtiyaan mili hai hai, aur jo bhi mili hai, 100 crores se kaam mein nahi biki hai."

"Aacha aur muskaan, iss murti ke upar koi auctions hue the kya??"
"haan mam england mein kain saal pehle ek auction hua tha, aur vahan kaafi indians bhi the, ye un indians ki list hai, computer se mujhe mail mil gaya, varna england tak jaana padta."😃
Muskaan opens the file in front of the cops and the three bend over it

just then tasha and shreya enter
"Mam sheher mein saare jwele shops se pata lagaya, iss sheher mein do logon ne vo khaas diamond khaarida hai, aur ye hain un do logon ke naam." Shreya said showing asha a sheet of paper on which two names were printed
"Ye dono bahut ameer log hain, ye iamond bhi 10 carore rupaye ka hai." Tasha said

as the team was trying to match a name in both the list poorvi entered
"Mam mene Dr. Nyla se uss gun ke baare mein information nikaali aur police se ye list mili hai, un 6 logon ki jinke paas ye gun hai."

The team does not take long to spot a common name on the three lists

scene 5-

The qualis drives up in front of a hue bungalow, the team is stopped the watchman at the gate, who allows the in after seeing their badge he slowly walks aside and allows them to enter.

The stony paved way leads straight to the main door. On either side of the pathway is a well mainted and a beutifull garden, colourfull flowers on the bushes and half ripened fruits on the tress, sounds of birds could be heard and colourfull butterflies were seen.

The team walked up to the door. Asha knocked, a butler answered the door.
"Dekhiye, sir iss vakt busy hai aap log baad mein aaiye." The butler said even before the team could say anything
"Humaare pas bhi time nahi hai samjhe, tumhaare sir kahan hai." Poorvi said as the team enterd pushing the butler aside.
"Sir kumre mein hai magar aap log vahan nahi jaa sakte sir busy hai."
"Shreya, muskaan, kajal, tasha ghar ki aachi tarah se talaashi lo." Asha said as she and poorvi began to climb upstairs
"Please madam ruk jaayiye, meri naukri ka savaal hai."
But neither asha nor poorvi stop. The finally reach a glass door and begin knocking calling out Uday.
"Please madam aisa mat karo." The butler begged
"Yaar purvi isse chup karao please." Asha said irritated as she knocked even louder
"Chup raho samjhe aur hame apnaa kaam karne do, hum cid se hai samjhe, jao iss room ki chaabi le kar aao." Poorvi said angrily and the butller just nodded
"Poorvi chaabi ke liye time nahi hai, philal darwaaza todne ke baare mein kya khayal hai."
Both Asha and Poorvi break down the door, and what to they find there, Udaylal lying dead on the floor, foam flowing out from his mouth and a letter.
Both of them are shocked, but then poorvi picks up the leader and reads it."
"Meine, yaani udaylal ne hi museum of artifacts se vo egyptian murti churaai thi, magar vo mujse kho gayi. Meine gunah kiya hai aur mein janta hun kanun mujhe maaf nahi karega isliye mein mar raha hun."

Asha began to laugh
"Ye letter uday likh h nahi sakta."
"Haan mam yebaat to pakki hai, iss letter ko pad kar ye baat saaf hai ki udaylal ne ye nahi likhi hai."
"Aur nahi to kya, iss letter mein koi sense hi nahi hai."
"Aur to aur mam." Muskaan said as the other four cops entered "Hume murti kahin nahi mili."
"Ab samajh aaya, kisi aur ne yeh murti chura li hai, ye case bahut complicated hein, ek egyptian murti ke peeche kain log padhe hai. Ye case itni jaldi, aur itni aa saani se solve nahi ho gaya." Asha said.
