A page from the personal diary of Janvi Chheda
Hello everyone, this is Janvi Chheda,
well-known for playing Inspector Shreya in CID on Sony Entertainment Television. My eagerness to tell my fans about myself brings me here today.
Born and brought up in Mumbai, I am a leap year girl; my birthday being 29 February and am the eldest in my family. As far as education is concerned, I have done my Graduation in Commerce with a Diploma in Dramatics. Describing myself in short, I would say that I am a positive, easy going person, ready for fun at all times. As for my hobbies, I love to read, travel and watch movies. I also love to spend time with my family.
During my college days, I was very active in extra-curricular activities. Since my interest was in dancing, I used to represent my college in inter-collegiate competitions for dance and fashion shows for which I have won lot of trophies which gave me confidence to perform and slowly I got into the habit of performing on stage. I can now proudly say that acting has become my first love. And my interest in professional plays actually provided me an opportunity to turn to TV.
Later in 2011, I got married to Nishant Gopalia who hails from Mount Abu, Rajasthan. After being pampered by my family, living alone with my hubby was a very tough decision for me and a drastic change in my life. Managing my home along with work is a great challenge for any woman, but I enjoy it. Most of the credit for this goes to Nishant for being there like a rock, always supporting me. But yes, I can't deny the fact that I miss my family every single day and realize how kids always take their parents for granted.
After doing several shows on television, it's now become easier for me to switch on and switch off from the character because one usually works for a minimum of 12 hours a day. You get used to the whole process and it comes to you sub-consciously and naturally.
Although, switching on and off in theater is a completely different thing, you get only one shot where you need to give your 200 per cent. That's why, performing on stage is the biggest high for me and nothing can beat it.
There are tons of memorable moments in my life, but the one that takes the top spot is of course my wedding. Nishant was waiting for me with a garland (varmala) in his hand. And I was walking towards him from the other end of the banquet hall looking right at him with tears in my eyes. He was surrounded with family and friends and so was I.
Everyone was cheering along as live dhol and shehnai were being played to every one's delight. The atmosphere was surreal and that walk was the most overwhelming thing I have ever experienced so far. Have you ever watched your dream come true, right in front of your eyes? Have you ever seen yourself achieve something that you have been longing and waiting for? For me, that moment was all of that. This was the beginning of the rest of my life with Nishant.
Friends, hope you enjoyed every bit of what I wrote. I think this much is enough. So, guys this is Janvi Chheda taking your leave for now with a wish to meet you'll up soon with some more interesting stuff about me.
