In that, Deepak Shirke says that he is excited to be back on television after 'Ek Shoonya Shoonya' that too he ll work with the same team...and that he ll surely enjoy working with Shivaji Satam and B.P. Singh...

I guess this indicates that Shivaji Sir is not leaving...😊😃

Recently, Shivaji Satam quit Sony's CID after a successful run of 15 years. Now, his good friend Deepak Shirke has been roped in to play the lead role in the show ' a new character named ACP Digvijay. Concerned about how the audience will react to him, Deepak admits, "Yes, I'm anxious about the response. Shivaji has kept the show going for 15 years, which is no small feat. He has created an image and a character that's reached great heights, so I wonder how viewers will receive the show post his exit. I hope they like it."

Shivaji's last episode will air this weekend.

Ask him why he chose the role, and Deepak says, "I have worked with BP Singh (producer) and Shivaji earlier in a Marathi show called Ek Shunya Shunya. Since then, we are all good friends, and CID is a great show, so why not?"

Having played negative roles in films mostly, he is excited about playing a positive role on TV this time. About his character, Deepak says, "ACP Digyvijay is a CID officer like ACP Pradyuman, but he will face issues on the work front as the new member in the team. We will show how he has to adjust to the rhythm of the team, while they too have to work according to his style."

Shivaji to return?
There might be some good news for fans of Shivaji Satam and his character, ACP Pradyuman: he might be back very soon! A source claims, "Shivaji wanted to quit for good, but producer BP Singh and the channel tried to convince him to stay back. He wanted to take a break, so the channel has now given him a long one. Deepak Shirke has been roped in as the lead, but Shivaji will be back in the first quarter of the year."

This may also explain why Shivaji has been maintaining a low profile and avoiding interviews and questions regarding his widely discussed exit from the show.
