I saw my friend's father who was in Crime branch do one such act as a small girl when a famous murder case happened in Karnataka in the early 1980s. Viren did nothing different. Only difference was that he could do it all in a few minutes. My friend's father had to bear all this tension for 6 months! All of us kids were ordered in not to play or walk home with her and her brother!! forget playing with them. Both of them used to come with a constable to school and return home with him. When I grew up I read all the paper reports and spoke with my friend's dad and understood how he had to do a tightrope walk on a double edged sword all because he had refused to bow down to political and superior's pressure when an acid attack was attempted more than twice with both his children and wife. 😲

I applaud such officers who still work well in our country👏. At the end of the day they too are humans who have wives,children and the same instincts as all of us to protect their families and give them all that they can and not sell their own souls to the corruption devil.
