You know ... I was a regular viewer of CID till 2001 ... then left watching it ... I came back to CID and started watching with reruns ... the time when Asha was still there .. those cases were coming ... I didn't have any idea that Asha had left ... then I suddenly decided to watch CID on friday 10 PM and see a new episode ... the episode was none other than behroopiya !! I was at first surprised to see new faces ... 2 good looking new people ... trio there but had changed quite a lot ... above all Asha wasn't there ... Seeing Tasha and Viivek I felt ... huh !! How can they replace Asha !! then a scene came when Abhijeet was crying and Viivek comes from behind and calms him down ... He was so sweet there ... The way he came there for Abhijeet ... that humble soft guy ... he had won my heart !!! Viivek is someone who had shown constant development as an actor ... and even the CID officer Viivek showed a regular development ,,,, it took him no time to gel up with his co officers .. and he became a total part of the team !!! Now today when we get to know that Viivek is leaving ... it's no less than a shocker !!! Viivek will be someone we can never ever forget ... he's a soft sweet part of the show CID that gave a certain kind of life to the show !!! We'll miss you Viivek ... we really will !!

Bhavna di you said so much in that paragraph. I'm quite similar to you. I started watching CID in 2001 when Asha was about to leave. At that time I was too young and my parents didn't like me watching it, but I would fight them and watch it. Then I stopped watching it in between and restarted about 4 years later. When I started Vivek was already part of the team. At that point I decided to go back and watch the old episodes and when I saw Vivek's entry my mind said, "Now this is what I call a CID officer". As I watched later episodes of Vivek, I realized that he was an indispensible part of CID. When Tasha entered, I didn't have the same reaction, but I came to like her pretty soon. She was somewhat like Asha. Now Vivek is leaving and all I can hope is that he comes here once and sees how much we will miss him.

i hope he read all this and change his decision for us,for his fans,...

please his co-actors stop him from leaving cid

I'm making a prediction. First Tasha left and now Vivek is leaving. I have a feeling that the next person to leave will be Freddy. He was a good investigator, but then they changed his character and made him a clown. I'm pretty sure that Dinesh Phadnis will be the next person to leave because he is probably tired of his character. All he does is be scared of ghosts, aatma, and other such things and get made fun of about his wife and other things.

CID is really starting to bad in terms of how the actors/actresses get treated. I'm sure that FW is trying to phase out the old CID for a new CID. That's why nowadays all the shows are usually Sachin or Kajal centric mainly.
