since it is an agency, they can move around anywhere anytime even without the knowledge of local police. just like the crime branch, row etc does.

Exactly.. Actually local police comes first for any type of investigation. If they fail or if public demands or government pressures then CID comes to investigate any case. CID doesn't go for investigating without special orders. But they can work seperate from local police or sometimes they work with them too.

this is definitely no series....Freddy saying, "case jaldi solve ho gaya" and since apparently they were going back to Mumbai,so, according to them the RDX issue is over...this is just a set of different cases set outside Mumbai....guess, the sleuthing skills of the local police of pune, aurangabad and kolhapur have become impaired
