MUMBAI: Bollywood entertainer Salman Khan has topped the list of most popular actors in 2012, according to the Ormax 2012 Report. He is followed by superstar Shah Rukh Khan in second place andHrithik Roshan in third spot. Other actors in the top ten included Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Ahay Devgn, Shahid Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan. Among the ladies, Katrina Kaif took the top honours followed byKareena Kapoor in seond place and Priyanka Chopra at rank three.Aishwarya Rai, Kajol, Madhuri Dixit, Deepika Padukone, RaniMukherjee, Anushka Sharma and Vidya Balan figured in the top ten as well. The Ormax report also carried the top ten most popular TV choice for kids where Pogo's Chhota Bheem led the race. On second spot was Doremon while the third spot was taken by Ninja Hattori. Jerry from the iconic Tom 'n Jerry pair was among the top five in the list. Other characters included Shinchan, Jackie Chan, Tom (from Tom 'n Jerry), Ben, Mr. Bean and Oggy. From among the Hindi GEC character for kids, the most popular was SAB TV's Jethalal from the show Tarak Mehta ka Oolta Chashma. The second spot went to Inspector Daya from Sony' cop drama C.I.D. while the third place was taken by Tapu (also form SAB's Tarak Mehta...). Other characters that made it to the list include Anandi from Colors' Balika Vadhu, Daya from Tarak Mehta..., Gopi from Saath Nibhaana Saathiya on Star Plus, Abhijeet from Sony's C.I.D., Pihu from Sony's Bade Acche Lagte Hain and Akshara from Star's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Mangalore: Foundation stone laid for Royal Arc Group's new project

Mangalore, May 9: Foundation stone was laid for 'Nature's Temple Homes', the latest project of Royal Arc Infra Private Limited near Bappanadu Goddess Durgaparameshwari Temple, Mulki, Mangalore on Wednesday, May 8.

The new project of this popular Mumbai-based concern, 'Nature's Temple Homes', will have 13 storeys with 122 apartments. The project will be equipped with amenities like yoga centre, gymnasium, swimming pool, badminton court etc. It is located at an enviable environment that is ideal for peaceful and pollution-free living.

Several high profile guests took part in the foundation stone laying ceremony of this project. Bollywood actor, Suniel Shetty, CID tele series-fame Dayanand Shetty, and Lakshmi M Kumaran, who happens to be the corporate affairs deputy general manager of MRPL, witnessed this grand ceremony.

Chief guest, Suniel Shetty, said, "It is a good gesture on the part of the promoters to do something for their native place in terms of development". Shetty was greeted with huge applause as he fluently spoke in the local 'Tulu' dialect. Lakshmi M Kumaran said, "with such projects coming up here, the people of the place will be introduced to good standards of living in their very home town instead of facing the need to move to the cities and metros". Dayananda Shetty wished all the best in this endeavour. Gopal Shetty, MLA, Borivali-Mumbai, was present on the ocassion.

Managing director of Royal Arc Infra Pvt Limited, Bipin Sanghvi, and Savitha C Shetty, one of the promoters, presented mementos to the guests. Damadar Kudva, who was instrumental in making the project a reality, was felicitated on the occasion. Chief promoter of the project, Kishore Shetty, proposed vote of thanks. Why did you feel that he will join politics... I don;t think he will.. He does attend a lot of potically connected events... but he has been doing so since long.. the cycle race... the kite flying.. and now the foundation stone.. i dont think he has time for politics ..after his acting and hotel business

Naah... I don't think so... Its just that may be they both belong to the same community and same native place..(i think Katapadi is close to udpi)
