dont know how the response will be...this kbc is different from the last season...the starplus kbc was more classic IMO.

KBC 4 opens with 5.3 TVR in 3 metros

I agree KBC on Star was better, SONY has again reduced it to another promotion platform for people to promote their movies. They are doing the same in Crime Patrol too. Promotion has gone beyond crazy limits, I am just waiting for the bubble to burst and normalisation to set in.

thnx for the article.

The promotion stuff has no limit in sony. In starplus , i dont reember ab sir promoting soaps. Last day they were promoting some fight with padosan...i cant enjoy that...who will be interested in silly stuff like that? IMO they have to avoid all OT stuff , even the film stars except in special episode and shoul focus on the questions.

I mean film stars entering every reality show even stuff like the that ghostly game or whatever it is called - The Chair and Emotional Atayachar which is about spying your cheating partner. What the hell is going on. If that was not enough. I am seeing film stars at a regular basis in normal TV shows like Taarak Mehta and FIR. Almost every week I see a promo about some actor entering the show for an episode. This is ridiculous. There has to be a limit. They do so much promotion that I feel like I have already seen the film and don't wish to go to the theater.

There was a time when Bollywood actors would not even do ads cause they come on TV and that would over expose them. From that extreme to this extreme where TV only has Bollywood actors. Where are the stories, where are serials. Today everything is a platform for promotion.

Wel the best thing about AC is that we haven't seen ACP sir promote Saas Bina Sasuraal or Tera Mujhse hai pehle or any other soap because of being busy with the shoots of this series !!!

Anyways happy that CID is in top 10 and still rules Sony's charts !!! Even though KBC has started still CID has it's loyal fans who if an episode is lovely will definitely appreciate it !!! For us it's the best !!! KBC is just a series in the matter of dedicated fans it can never break CID's record !!! CID has got fans who will watch it and appreciate something atleast even if the episode is like "CID under Fire " !!!

in the case of ads it is ok. Like SRK in hyundai i20 ad...it gives an international exposure because of his valuable presence. But in kbc they are bringing in actors every day...for what?

In shows like indian idol they were listening to music and commenting, but what they are doing here on kbc? Sitting next to mr. Charu sharma and waiting for their turn....i feel pity to John playing dandiya with that guy....the actors should be careful about their class.

No I am just saying that about 15-20 years back that was the thinking. If Bollywood actors are seen on TV, in Ads then paying public will not come to the cinema halls to see a face that they can see for free on their TV. Believe me that was the thinking. And look at now from one extreme to another extreme. We need to reach normalcy soon. This is just toooo much now.

All stars of this time has to study some lessons from veterans. Rajnikanth do not agree to promote cola since it is not healthy. He will not give interviews or ads. Atleast the superstars has to keep some values.

Ok now we have gone off track, I am not talking about ethics and values. I am just saying that coming on TV was over exposure once upon a time and that has changed now. That's all. What an actor as a person believes, I have nothing to say about it. I am taking the actor's name off my previous post.
