We Appreciate The Hard Work

After a lot of bashing everyone is now under a sympathy wave and that was expected. However I wanted to clarify that people like me who at times go a bit harsh at some cast and crew members don't enjoy doing so. I mean we love the team cast and crew included, we care for them. If we criticized "Heart Attack Killer", it does not mean that we did not see how hard they worked on it in the odd hours. They possibly shot the whole night for it. We have no grudges againt actors either, we wish them no harm, why would we? We are sure that are lovely individuals, whatever we say is based on what they show us. Our comments are restricted to their performance only. There are some other series also that I am sure some of us here watch but how many bother to give feedback for them. Alteast I don't, I dedicate that time only to CID, it's important to me, there is a sense of ownership ki it's our serial; been a part of it for too long. Since I know people involved read what we have to say here, I will continue to give my honest opinion but I will try to ensure that if it is criticism, it is constructive and not seem like plain Bashing. They work so hard, we would like them to work hard on something that will be liked by all.

Some people say that since bi-weekly started we got 2 good cases to watch. Well I would say it's a mere co-incidence. CID Creative Team was on their way to re-discovery, and would have seen that if CID was Weekly too. The problem with Bi-Weekly now is that we have a good case on Fridays and one bad-average case on Saturdays. It's like taking 1 step ahead and 1.5 step back. Since it the Saturday's case that stays most fresh in the viewer's mind through the week. If it was weekly the standards would just be going upwards. And since this lead to addition of new members the chemistry of the team has gone missing, in a weekly format we would have retained that part.

Coming to new people. We have 3 new additions and I have major problem with them for the following reasons. This is the hierarchy of seniority we know.

1] ACP

2] Abhijit

3] Daya <========= More than a Decade (Known since Abhi Sir entered in 1999)

4] Freddie <======= More than a Decade (Since Michael Turned Freddie in 1999)

5] Vivek <========= About 4 years (Since Vivek entered in 2006)

6] Tasha <========= About 1 year (Since Tasha entered in 2009)

If they got 2 new people in the team and put them at the end of this hierarchy we would not mind much and with time would have accepted them if they half as good as Vivek and Tasha are. But there they are trying to fit a new person Sachin between 3 and 4. Now how do they expect us to accept it? Freddie as a character may not have much importance for the creatives (going by what they have turned him into) but we love him. We do not want new people coming and bossing over him. That is where they have gone wrong, the team composition is all wrong. The way they have tried to fit this character, upar se we haven't seen Daya-Abhi together since he entered. And with due respect to HP, his acting skills are not helping the cause either, has been rather unimpressive. Personally speaking I don't think I will ever like this character, I will always wish he leaves just like I always wished for Lavanaya.

Now Kajal, she can prove an asset but she forgets this is CID and she ain't a vamp here. She is a good actress but currently is not the cop we want to see. Dialog delivery is very daily-soapish and the wardrobe needs an immediate change, it is so un-cop like. But Tasha is being sidelined because of her that is just not done.

When you get new people you can't ignore people who have been around. These days Vivek and Tasha are mostly reduced to extras. We want them to be the given important tasks. CID turning Bi-Weekly could have meant growth for characters like Freddie, Vivek and Tasha, more opportunities for them to shine, but sadly that was not to be.

Coming to Sonali, a character which I wonder why they even considered bringing along. Sonali is Dr Salunkhe's classmate. Till now we are made to believe he and ACP are friends and around the same age group almost father figures to Daya-Abhi and the rest of the team. But Maninee De looks anything but older that Daya-Abhi. A clear case of mis-casting / mis-characterization. Add to that fight for superiority is a complete no no.

However there are a couple of things that I have noticed.

We had wished that Sachin rather team up with Freddie and leave Daya-Abhi. Since the last two Saturdays we have been seeing that he is indeed grouped with Freddie however that has not resulted in Daya-Abhi being together, which is why most of us did not notice this. This was because Abhi Sir gave "Heart Attack Killer" a miss and Daya Sir was missing from "Ek Khoon Do Baar". We will have to see what happens now; I am expecting them to be there in both cases.

We had wished that Daya-Abhi's time should be better utilized in Saturday cases. Not sure if this was because Daya Sir was able to allocate more time to the case but I noticed that they used him much better in "Heart Attack Killer". He was there on the crime scene, important interrogation and when they nabbed the criminal. Abhi Sir was very badly utilized in "Ek Khoon Do Baar". So this was a good sign.

And we have a tiny Freddie-Vivek scene too in "Heart Attack Killer" which was good to see.

if we bash it does mean that we expect much more from them..it does not mean that we hate them or do not like current creative team .. and comes to characters Kajol will sure get Superiority over tasha with respect to her saas bau dramas experience and reputation...Sachin might have good connection with creative via CID SB..furthermore, dinesh phadnis seems too humble to speak up for her rights..

We know the actors and the crew are working hard. They cannot help it if they get a bad script like the Heart attack killer.
I was mentally tuned to the fact that Abhijeet and Daya will gradually go missing from Saturday episodes. They cannot make cracker episodes on Friday and show themselves in full form on Saturdays. They are human beings too and need some time off. It is a simple case of project and HR management.
Maybe it's better if it stays this way...we'll get to see Daya-Abhijeet in full form on Fridays. We'll have to get used to it.

I agree with you di totally, not all of us do character bashing, its that we express our opinion about the roles played and don't have any problems with the actors for sure,CID has been a part of our lives for so many years that if we dislike something or someone performance,we feel its our right to express our views on this show because we consider CID as an important part of our lives and on the other hand agar hum kisiki burai karthe hai toh achcha karne pe hum unki taarif bhi toh karthe hai.I totally agree ki humaare cast and crew bahut kaam karthe hai to make an episode a success but sometimes the episode simple doesn't click with us and as u said we have this sence of ownership on this show so we would always want the show to flourish and reach greater heights and therefore we let them frankly know what we disliked, with just a hope in our hearts ki shaayad koi sunle and pay attention to our views I agree ki sometimes I personally become a little tooo frank but its maybe because I've been shown something that has made me reply so frankly, its not that I've not even tried to accept these new people, obviously CID matters a lot to me so I definitely tried but maybe there is some reason why I'm being unable to accept them,Vivek-Tasha were also new people who entered CID but mujhe unhe apnaane mein uthni takleef nahi hui and as yoy mentioned the rank of Sachin is what worries me,I mean they want to let the new character be given importance I don't mind but that doesn't mean you add a newcomer above the rank of the senior most character after ACP(entry wise),I feel that is being unfair, haan par agar mujhe kuch bura laga aur maine burai ki toh achcha karne pe taareef bhi ki,I liked Kaajal in friday's episode and feel she can do better so I complimented her and Sonali actually hasn't been able to create neither negative nor positive impact so instead of bashing her without any reason I've rather kept quiet regarding her.
So all I want to say is that maybe its that CID matters too much to us,its a part of us so that's why if we compliment on something,we also scold them when required but haan character bashing is something I've never done I've always tried to express my point of views in a rather subtle manner. We all want CID to flourish and hope that will happen,as my signature say I'M PROUD TO BE A CIDIAN

I'll be happy if they just show our original team in full swing on fridays atleast. I mean, leave the fridays for our favorite team to show off their performance. Saturday, it doesnt matter who is in it and who is not. If it is a good case, then maybe I'll watch it and otherwise just give it a miss. But friday's cases are the most important.... Everytime I think about last week's case, only "Abhijit in coma" comes to my mind and my mind gives "Heart attack Killer" a total skip. So, I feel if the friday's episode is made well, we dont have to worry about saturday's episode being good.

hmm I don't know but I don't really agree with this. It does not work well for Brand CID. If nobody is going to care about the Saturday's episode then why is it being aired? If you giving the audience something then it shouldn't be junk. We don't expect a classic everyday but expecting above-average to good is not a bad expectation to have.

We all know this...this is what the signature campaign was all about.
For us CID means our 'trio'. It is never complete without all 3 of them in full swing.
But they are human beings....cannot shoot 2 episodes in 1 week. So what can they do? Add new members and give them some scenes. This is exactly called 'brand dilution'. Sony should have given this a thought before making it a bi-weekly.
Or who knows....some new member(like Vivek) may be good enough to win our hearts. Let's hope.....

I am not talking about the cast here at all. I am talking about the case. I know our officers are human beings, I understand our trio does not fall under the youngster category anymore, I don't over expect from them. Make the case on Saturday with whoever but cases has to have some sense. well it comes back to the same thing, that Bi-Weekly is such a bogus idea.

I think that the Saturday cases are being treated as bali ka bakras, because Salil Singh apparently has to direct at least one episode every week, for some reason. I'm not happy with the lackluster Saturday cases either, but I've still moderately accepted this new trend, because picchle 1-2 years mein to hum ek single acchha episode dekhne ko taras jaate the. Ab kam se kam we can see at least one good, Salil Singh-less episode on Friday. That said, I do hope they do everything possible to improve the Saturday cases, or just do away with them completely and put effort into giving us just one good episode on Friday every week.
