BIGGEST ISSUES

I think the biggest issues in CID today are the following and its not like they can't be corrected.

1] STORIES LACKING DEPTH

Take "Aatmahatya Ya Khoon" for example, this case has no depth that it can sustain the mystery for 48-50 minutes of running time resulting in dragged boring episodes. This leads to "A for Apple and B for Bannana", Dr Salunkhe's melodrama, CID team of 5 members go to a wrong person, something CID does as the first job Mobile-GPS is done as the last resort and long dragging flashback where you have time dedicated to a driver as well. Just look at the number of unnecessary scenes. Another way to kill time is to have long irrelevant dialogs before one finally comes to the point. To kill time Freddie was even saying the first line of the sher 4-5 times. I feel bad for the screenplay writer, dialog writer and the editor, they could not do much a wafer thin plot has to be created into a full 48-50 min episode, what can they do? We need Stories that can do justice to CID's Running Time like "Khatra Chemical Bomb Ka". We need better writers, new writers with fresh ideas.

Can we request Sridhar Raghavan Sir to please do a special appearence for us in the script-screenplay department?

2] CLUTTER OF CID OFFICERS

Why do 5-6 CID officers need to go to talk to one suspect, search a house or check the condition of a guy in the hospital. Or they crowd the Forensic Lab, standing like spectators while the 3 Docs in between their stupid conversations are doing something to one poor dead body (feel sorry). This team size has to go down for sanity. I can see the poor Cameraman pulling his hair off trying to fit everyone into the frame.

3] DEGRADED LEVEL OF COMEDY

Comic scenes in CID these days have turned into tragedies. They give me more tears than all the saas-bahu sagas put together could ever manage. The creative team is not able to come up with any genuine funny situations at all. There have been so many scenes in the past which were actually funny but now it's all forced, cringe worthy and sometimes totally undignified. I wonder why is it so important and essential to have comic scenes, why do they feel CID can't do without them. Why can't we do away with the comic track altogether for some time?

[Silent member please pay attention to this, take this with you and leave Shayries for social networking sites. Keep them away from the episodes]

very good written Prabha.
I think the stories are not only lacking depth but ideas as well. To me crime means not only murder. There are various types of crime are happening round the world. Why they are stick to the murder only?
It is my personal view which I wanted to share with you.

I agree variety in crime is missing but even before that depth is missing. Suppose they come up with a kidnapping case but if it is like what we saw on Saturday then it will also drag and become boring inspite of change in crime. A murder mystery can even now be made intersting by adding complexity, difficulty AND better motives behind the act will give depth to the case.

These days murder mysteries are only to find out who killed, rather than 'how they killed'.
Other crimes are happening and CID team is only catching the criminal, rather than stopping the crime from happening.

Absolutely right you are. It is also a duty of CID to stop crime as well. They should concentrate on this issue also. It would be a better idea but as prabha said there should be depth in the story and script also. We cannot tolerate Ahi and Daya to do bekar comedy any more.

i agree......completely...........certain scenes become useless....... & freddie's shayaris.....🤢......shud be left to social sites....we have read it many times.........
also instead of all members crowding in one place.......as the team has increased team members should be divided in equal numbers.....

I believe that they shouldn't increase the airing time of CID any further. That leads to such lame jokes etc... I'd much prefer having a half-hour show Friday and Saturday of one case rather than have 2 one hour cases on those days. That way the focus on the crime and how and why it was done is still there.
