What about Abhijit's first episode?

So you mean his memory loss episode is not his first??? I mean we know CID started in 1997 and Abhi Sir joined 2 years later in 1999. THE CASE OF STOLEN DYNAMITE started with Abhi Sir's flashback. Daya Sir and ACP are telling inspector Jayant about what happened to him 2 years back in 1997. This means he wasn't doing anything in CID for those 2 years. It seemed like his first episode. So do you mean Abhi Sir had made an appearance in the early part of the show too?

I mean that I'm pretty sure about the fact that in one episode, ACP and Daya were driving and suddenly they see a man frantically waving at their car. When they stop, they see that the man(whose Abhijit) is shaking and shivering and asking them to call the police because he's convinced that someone is trying to kill him. ACP and Daya check his apartment and find no one there. I don't remember the entire story because I was 4 when I saw this(It was shown in 1998, very sure of that). It's one of the episodes Aditya Srivastava did after doing Aahat.

Oh hmmmm but I wonder if Adi Sir was playing Inspector Abhijit? A lot of CID officers who have come and gone played Criminals, Suspects or Victim on some or the other previous CID episodes. Its possible Adi Sir was playing just a victim and not Inspector Abhijit (can't imagine Abhi Sir scared and shivering). Even Freddie has played a Criminal in pilot episodes of CID.

Yes, Aditya Srivastav had played a thief before joining as Abhijeet. I read about it somewhere.

I'm pretty sure Daya did not play any other role on the show: he has been a CID officer all along. He joined as a sub-inspector if I remember correctly.

I do have vague memories of Abhijeet being afraid that someone was trying to kill him. I hope they show the episodes soon.

WOW this is so much fun. When we remember flashes of some episode, some film, sometimes we don't even know to what film or sereis a particula shiot belonged to but these are part of our childhood memories. debayon still remembers something seen when she was 4. I am so happy that we are able to share all that here. I also rememebered flashes from some cases and now when I see the repeat, some of them fall in place. Its like revisiting my childhood, I was not really a child then 😃 I was 19 when CID started.

Abhijit thinks for some time and says "Ji, Sir". Then what ACP says has always stuck to my mind because it was a start of new era. He says "Welcome to CID, Abhijit" and the episode ends.

Yes, Abhijeet has ever been an integral part of CID since then to this day!!!
