Thanks, Prabha di. 😃 Yes, ACP certainly demands respect whenever he speaks to someone. But unlike the western crime shows, there's always a very cordial and formal relationship between ACP and his officers. That should change in my opinion.
Previously, Daya was calm as a cucumber and Abhijit was the one who was impulsive..., now it's the other way around.

@other people: Plzzz feel free to leave comments on the episodes

I think ACP's relationship with everyone is just perfect. There is respect, love, affection, everything in the right proportion. To me he is am ideal boss or manager; I wish my manager was like that. I don't think anything should change on that front. It's good that Daya-Abhi Sir relationship changed from formal colleagues to close friends, that relationship had to change with time but not with ACP, with ACP it's been perfect all along.

What you say is right. Over that last 12 years all characters have undergone change. Most prominent is Freddie, who hardly spoke was very hard working, silently do his work, one of the best at collecting evidence. But now he has turned into joker of the pack. He open his mouth for some bizarre atama explanations, shows he is scared of going on site sometimes. On the positive side now he comes across as someone who loves with all heart and does not hesitate to show it either.

Abhi Sir was very aggressive when he started. I think it was because he had constant internal struggle of not being able to recollect or punish people do were responsible for his memory loss. That internal struggle would come out as aggression. I think with time that struggle lost its importance, past did not matter anymore, he had made new memories and a second family with the CID team, plus he started remembering parts of his past so that helped him cool down.

Daya Sir was always this huge guy who will break your bones if you don't tell the truth but this same Daya Sir would also be gentle when victim or his relative are narrating their sad story. He started as this eager to perform youngster who has gradually become the face of muscle power of the team. Now he character has been typecast into this He-Man who as per mindset has to be aggressive in approach. Though I am glad that he is not an abusive He-Man.

A lot of these changes are due to the changes in the creative team. I think B P Singh Sahab knew how he police works. He had made Ek Shoonya Shoonya is Marathi earlier. He used to do direct, produce, photography and write the dialogs too. But after new people too these positions, I think these new guys don't know how the police works but think it must be working like this. Apart from this TRPs have ruined everything. In these 12 years what has worked during a certain time affects all the others serials running at that time. Strange elements are thrown in to gather eye balls even if they are unrealistic. I attribute Freddie's character change to this stupid theory.

Having said all this, I believe we can't have the 1997-2002 era back mainly because times have changes, people who have been alround have grown, some have left, and some new people have come in. Today you can't have a cross connection case which accoring to me is one of the most interesting cases in CID. New technology has made some things simpler and complicated some others. Today with one call to the mobile company you can trace anyone but that was not 10 years back, one had to travel a lot to investigate. I think it would be unfair to expect that era to be back because it not the same world we live in. It's changed multifold in the last 10 years; it's been a drastic change.

Does anyone remember Crime Target ACP Pradyuman case. It has one of my all time favorite scenes of the entire CID Series. The scene where ACP is hung by the neck and the CID team reaches that spot at that very moment. ACP shouts out to Abhijit, that full scene till they bring him down and he regains his breath, it is one fantastic scene. It looks like a one take shot. It does not even look like it was directed. It just seemsed to flow, instinctively. Its such a naturally performed scene by one and all. Thank God they did not have Lavanya in this scene but Kaveri, she really performed well. If even one person would have faltered it wouldn't have had the effect it did. I must have seen that scene so many times but it still gets me on the edge of my seat. Does anyone else recollect the scene?

So I finally got around to watching your latest uploads. I have to say they were fantastic. The Stolen Gun case was mindblowing, easily one of the finest in the series. It gave a lot of room for Aditya to perform. I love how he performs with his entire body from his eyes down to little mannerisms with his hands. He made Paresh a believable three-dimensional character. It really shows the difference with the so-called actors nowadays who can barely deliver their lines, forget about expressions.

It was funny to see that Patil guy refer to Dinesh Phadnis' character as 'Inspector Michael'. I wonder why they later not only changed his name to Fredericks but demoted him to sub-inspector? 😆

What I liked about these older episodes are the little tidbits we learn about the main characters. Like in this episode we learned that Pradyuman preferred to keep only 4 bullets in his revolver instead of 6 with the first two chambers empty.

The only complaint I have is that the end was rather abrupt. I think it needed one more scene to give proper closure to Paresh's story.

The Stolen Dynamite case was excellent too. Aditya steals the show once again as the troubled amnesiac. I am glad that they didn't reveal too much about exactly what happened to Abhijeet after he was kidnapped or who did it. I think it is something that should remain a mystery. It adds to his character.

The best thing about the Stolen Dynamite case was how it was handled with ingenuity instead of ridiculous forensics technology that is the norm nowadays. Makes me really sad about the state of the show today. The end was a bit over-the-top though. Still it was a good episode overall.

BTW, did they air any old episodes this week yet?

Old episodes stopped last week. They have gone back 10 to 12 years of glory cases.

Today I was seeing a 10 yrs of glory case, the case where Shruti enters Abhi Sir's life, I think she was there for about 4 cases. I saw Tarika in the forensic lab. She was already there when Shruti came and went. So when did Abhi Sir start this Tarika thing. Was it all of a sudden? How did it start.

Yes, it gives the goosebumps even now. The scene in which they were fighting the criminals while ACP was calling them. I was on the edge of my seat, thinking: Reach there right now. The thing is that you know that he's gonna be saved eventually, but still there's that tension. Also, I feel CID should revert back to the half-hour episodes. It adds an anxiety to suspense to the show.

Today on CID Classics they showed YEH PHOOL CHAMAN MAIN KAISA KHILA. I have been wanting to see this case ever since I heard about it from members here. This is the case when ACP slaps Abhi Sir and our trio sings a song together. WOW what a fantastic episode, loved it.

Abhi Sir kya acting karte hain, wah mazaa aa jata hai. The scene where he is hypnotized and burning the proofs is just wow and when he goes back to the criminal's house. The culprit thinks he is still in control of Abhi Sir and then Abhi Sir turns back, smiles and gives his best slap ever. And I felt Abhi Sir was looking sooooooooo good. I am going take snapshots of him from this episode.

Yesterday (12 Jan 2010), they showed the following 2008 episodes
1] The Contract Killing
2] The Wrong Victim
3] The Twisted Family
4] Wedding Jitter
5] Mysterious Mask
6] Bad Blood

Sony's transmission is going crazy, they had shown WEDDING JITTER on 11 Jan too. Why do they repeat the new ones so often. They never did that for the old ones, if we missed them we missed them, thats it.

Of these Case 3 to 6 covers Abhijit-Shruti Story. These episodes we probably aired on 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd May 2008 respectively. I was surprised to see that Tarika was in the Forensic Lab during these episodes. For some reason I thought she came after Shruti's story was over. So when did Abhijit-Tarika Story start? Anyway I managed to edit out their story. It made a good 30 minute long video.

If anyone is interested in ABHIJIT-SHRUTI STORY or YEH PHOOL CHAMAN MAIN KAISA KHILA case, let me know.

Just watched the stolen gun episode uploaded by Prabha...I have no words to express how exciting it was...I downloaded the episode today morning(as I have unlimited downloads till 8AM) and thought of watching it later, but tried to get a sneak peek at it and ended up watching the whole episode. In fact, I forgot to eat my breakfast!!!
Usually once you are used to seeing a person as a famous character, it is difficult to see them in another role...Danielle Radcliffe as Harry Potter for instance.
But Aditya Srivastav fit into the role of Paresh so perfectly, that even though I am used to seeing him as Abhijeet for so many years, I could appreciate him in the other role.
The scene in the house, where his wife complains about not being able to buy clothes for Diwali etc...it was a single shot...Paresh rubbing his fingers together, and the expressions - mixture of anger, grief, nervousness...WOW...tooo good. I cannot say anything more...words are not sufficient.
(Daya was conspicous by his absence in this episode)
Forgot to add - thanks to Prabha from me and on behalf of all the fans who are enjoying the downloads.

Tarika was there...but till Abhijeet met Shruti, he didn't think of marriage etc. But after that, maybe he started seriously thinking about having a woman in his life. None of the other lady CID officers stay long enough to get into a relationship, so I guess he chose Tarika.
