A hand sketches something on a leaf, while a poem about the mesmerising beauty of Rani Padmini goes on in the background. Raja Ratan Singh's heart skips a beat, the moment he sees the complete sketch of Rani Padmini. He immediately rushes to Sinhal Dweep, and barges into Rani Padmini's swayamwar, uninvited! Meanwhile, Alauddin Khilji is fuming at not being invited. But soon Ratan Singh realises that this is not just any other swayamwar.
To marry Padmini, Ratan Singh would have to defeat a fierce warrior by the name of Padam Singh. A long fight ensues, but ultimately Ratan Singh wins. But to his surprise, the defeated warrior has long beautiful hair. The wind messes them up, makes them look even more beautiful, he keeps staring and the frame freezes.
