I have nothing to say to a person who breaks rules and talks as if nothing as happened and is the most righteous.

(On the Highlighted) As if it is not enough that a member from the DT has broken rules, instead of accepting and rectifying the mistake, instead of condoning the mistake, encouraging others to break the rules as well is something that should make the DTs hang their heads in shame once again.

I would prefer to talk to someone who knows IF rules and understand them.

Happy Navratri and Diwali to you too.

Radhika5, why didn't I think of such a simple suggestion? Oh well, if I had then it may not have casued the drama I am witnessing with some ppl running helter-skelter!

To answer your question - as I have observed in the past few months, stickies are for "friends" and "elites" and threads are for "aam junta" and "plebes", like you and me.
[Def. of plebes -
  1. the lower class in ancient Roman society
  2. the common people; the masses]

If you ever wanted to know why France had the French Revolution, here in lies your short answer - the battle of the common man and the arrogant French monarchy that walked all over the common man!!!!!!!

😆😆

Hi Sandeepa, I appreciate your taking time out for an explanation. I read you response and let me respond to things that caught my attention.
If Mishti's thread did not play the yo-yo game for a few hours yesterday, I may never have caught Samta thread, as my foray into sticky world is like the spotting of the blue moon - ONCE IN A WHILE - when someone pms me a link. I really appreciate you, Eva, Anita and Anu communicating with her and sharing her experience with the forumers.
In the past Tila and others who have communicated with Avi or Rubina have written enthusiastically (you know how Tila is!) about it, but I don't recall the posts as stickies for several weeks.
In fact, Radev24 met with AviNa LAST weekend and her thread did not become a sticky until I posted in this thread this afternoon. Was it to counterbalance DT "priviledges" in making Samta's thread a sticky - applying a non-discrimination policy after the fact? I was watching very carefully since yesterday and it was quite an interesting revelation.
Can you tell me how that determination was made, so I know not to "fuss" in the future? Is there a guide, a rule book, you follow behind the scenes?
By the way, did I use the word "ordering" about you pushing SSBS in CB forum? I checked and NOPE! I did not, but reading this and the previous thread you have to consider the reader's viewpoint as well when writing. When all the pieces are put together, the final picture is all that matters and my picture came up with what I wrote about - that there is some connection between Samta in SSBS and the CBians being "told" to watch the show. I am sure you did not mean to but the message was pointing in that direction.
About Avi and Ruby working in other shows, I can tell you that personally I would not push any show because I follow the forum rules. If I have used another show, it was used in context of the quality or storyline but not as a "suggestion" to someone to watch the show.
You compared Radev24 and DG86's threads to yours. There is a BIG DIFFERENCE - neither of them were stickies - a sign of priviledge. It is all about appearances again. DG's is still in the main topic section the last time I saw. The Mauritius forumers' posts were in the main topic section as well. We all visited threads we were interested in and posted along the way. Additionally, DG86 and Radev24 are not promoting/mentioning another show when talking about AviNa's encounters.
I interpreted the rule that I posted in the original post to mean that we cannot discuss other shows in CB forum. I am sure if I were to do that with shows I occasionally watch, I would get a warning from the DTs. Since I am a rule-abiding forumer, I have stuck to my guns but I have seen plenty of posts closed in my short stay in this forum.
I am in a service providing business and I always lecture my workmates about perceptions, perceptions, perceptions!
So, it seems like you are the one taking classes at an NY University. Congratulations and I look forward to Samta's interview for your coursework (I am guessing!). Please PM me when you do. You are indeed a good writer and I wish you the best! Our family's kids are all educated in ivy-league schools and we are ever so proud of our kids as you should be of your SIL. Love Columbia's campus!
I wish you and your family a Happy Navratri and Diwali too!
