There has to be more shows in this cast driven category to be statistically significant for any survey.........atleast thats what my statistical knowledge tells me.......I might be wrong here and others with more knowledge in statistics might be able to help out here.

CB is also cast driven one........I think it does not matter to most which channel shows it..so long the cast is there and as you have said time will only tell regarding whether CB can also join KMH in the cast driven category....I am sure it will soon join KMH.😃

Misti at present the Indian television scene is very violatile and we dont know which factor helps a channel and which hinders it .The vernacular or the language Tv factor has not been taken into consideration but one thing I have seen examples is if a well recieved show is removed suddenly it annoys a lot of viewers and star plus and sony have gone through this phase so we will have to wait and see how removing Cb or change of time of AJ effects the Zee audience or not.
Well as most of the survey is done in the hindi belt and like Rajsri has said the rural viewer has also to be taken into consideration .But most of the channels ignore unless that is a rich rural belt with good purchasing capacity ie eastern UP etc advertisers and channels ignore this factor.

Rajsri
I think because of that factor lot of viewers saw it otherwise the show would not have lost so much of TRps when Avinash was supposed to be dead and he had to be brought back to promote it.And though he was dumbed down people still hated the CVs for the thrash track but watched it because to the leads and good supporting cast but mainly the leads it survived and got reasonbly good trps compared to other shows of the channel

Chalhov I have noticed that usually the rural belt is ignored but to me that makes a study a flawed one, because any survey should have representatives of the different sections of the society. They can't ignore one section completely. Now, this survey is looking flawed to me.😉

... i have been breaking my head wondering why a publicly traded company like Zee that should be primarily motivated by greed to make money for its shareholders will make such a stupid decision as to axe a show that is doing very well in its time slot

The dodos up in Zee think that they can bring any show in that time slot with good content and it will do as well or better than CB ... by that token i think AJ should be given a month to perform and then shipped out if they dont

CB would not have been first on their list of shows to cut ... but with DJs not interested, would have been the first to go

Hope Zee and DJs realize this ... the problem is that loyalty can also be shattered when a channel/prdn house either cuts a favorite show or does it in a manner that leaves a bad taste in viewer's mouths

Rajsri I think zee has a number of shows to axe and they did give the DJs 6 months extension to wrap up the show. Since the DJs were not interested in CB and the other production houses might have been interested in saving their shows or to give them a decent ending, CB came under the axe. Also the brainy people sitting in the zee offices might have been thinking that CB is a channel driven programme so any other show with equally strong viewership will do. Since Dev and Lalli were the very strong male and female leads of the Zee family, they might have thought that they can take the chance of removing the Dev fans, because that loss might be balanced by the Lali supporters.

There are other shows waiting to be shown on Zee. They have already started the promos of another one which is showing a good MIL-DIL relationship.....again SGP clone.😉

if CB was channel driven not the content driven then taking Cb off air must be one of the craziest thing for Zee.

here is one more question....by making CB channel driven does that mean that the people undertaking this survey think that people used to watch it because it is a zee tv programme...........I mean they would not have watched it on another channel. My answer will be no.....because people watch CB because of CB and not because it is a zee tv programme.........So basically these people have a wrong idea as to what CB was about and why people watched it!

Misti Di,

I read the article from my phone but could not reply then.. the lines in bold is EXACTLY what came to my mind... CB was watched becuase it was CB and not becuase it was aired on Zee... Moreover, CB cannot be channel driven when even some of the loyal viewers who have been with Zee for years (including me) have decided to cut their disconnection of Zee after CB ending.... On the forum, we may be a small representative but sure should count.... Big MISUNDERSTANDING these people are in..

Today I ended up watching the last 5-10 minutes of Saathiya on Star Plus.. I was shocked to see to what extent this serial has copied from CB.. Basically, Gopi (Kanha bhakt) is trying to be Radhika and Ahem is trying to be Dev🤢😡....

Anyway, we already know as to how much other serials have copied CB but this is the LIMIT..

So these are the effects of CB and it's storyline ! Still fail to understand as to why CB was pulled off air !

I will be interested in how many overseas viewers have stoped subscribing to Zee after the removal of CB.I think that the overseas viewers pay quite a bit to watch zee on their tv sets and if a large chunk of this viewership removes zee from their list then it might bring about changes in Zees revenue to hit the company.

Why Sathya the top show Pratigya has also got shades of CB in it.....speciallly the male and female leads Krishna and Pratigya have shades of Dev and Rahika in them........Not only is the male lead called Krishna but he was also born on Janmashthami.........Pratigya like Dev is an idealist and Krishna like Radhika is a pragmatist..........Pratigyas character is one who thinks is right, always fights against wrong but does not take into consideration the circumstances and the after effects.....whereas Rads was far more complex..both the girls have very strong relationship with their fathers who are equally upright, while Krishna is a very grey character (unlike Dev) ...........although he stands up against the entire family to protect his wife Pratigya, he initially takes the wrong path but then he takes a step back and corrects himself.....The writers of Pratigya are much better than the ones in CB and this makes me wonder at what would have happened to CB if it had better writers and a production house that was interested in it.

Anyway, we already know as to how much other serials have copied CB but this is the LIMIT..

Thats what I am also trying to understand.😕

Thank you for sharing Misti...

Very interesting indeed, CB is not channel driven, it is Radhika and Dev driven!

Well said Misti ... i really hope Zee and DJs get a rude awakening ... I think you are right on regarding Zee maybe wanting to extend but between the two of them (DJs and Zee) they either did not agree on the money, the future story line, lack of interest on part of DJs ... whatever it was, they let it go and Zee possibly thought that they could bring some other show in and still manage to get fairly good revenue from their advertisers and strong TRPs. The highlighted piece is why they may think that their TRPs/advertising revenue will not drop even if they move time slots

Since Star Plus is now the leader in TRPs Zee is blindly following ... do you think they will make a Pratigya clone 😉 Avina will be perfect for those roles 😉

It is sad but true ... if CB had a stronger prodn team and a better set of writers, they could have easily been in the top 5 shows

😆

Rajsri somehow my hunch is the future story line.......Imarti was cute but there was some confusion regarding her presence.......the SBS report said that she will help to get justice for Radhika but the promo and the montage hinted at growing distance between Radhika and Dev.
As for Pratigya clone.......😉.....well well well.....the channel has a win-win situation in its hand if they really sit down and think...........since zee is getting inspired by Star Plus, why don't they get inspired by something that inspired Star Plus.......I mean SGP is a scene by scene copy of a bengali soap opera, so zee can also copy another bengali movie...the movie was later made into hindi (Uphaar) and it had Jaya bhaduri in the lead role........the story is of a tomboy girl..... ....whose only interest in her life is to steal mangoes from others orchard and create mischief in the village.....a very serious and studious guy falls in love with her.....Oh God I just now realised that Ogo Bodhu Shundari the show that has been remade into SGP is actually based on the bengali version of Uphaar........😆😆 😆😆😆😆😆😆 ..........I give up......I am going to bed.😆😆😆..........Actually it is a khichri of two bengali movies.....Samapti (later remade into Uphaar) and Dhanni Meye ( literally means Save me from this girl........and again Jaya Bhaduri in the lead role as a good hearted tomboy)........in the latter after marriage, the girl's elder sister-in-law becomes her friend, philosopher and guide.
