There might be in the general public but I have got my mothers love protecting me from any harm. I thought that the family and the general public might question my mother Vaishali Purohit on her beliefs and the fact that she hid the truth for 28 years. She became a true tigress and went out to protect me from any harm that I might have faced if I had been kicked out from the Purohit Bhavan that night. Roaming on the streets off Delhi at night is not safe for anyone and unfortunately I don't wear red coloured sari or diamond jewellary. I have also realised that there is a new enthusiasm among my supporters, specially the highly respected Mahanatji. It helps that the highly respected Mahantji respects my mother a lot and pays careful attention to what she is saying. According to him every woman should follow in my mothers footsteps. In additon the Mahanatji was a bit exasperated with Dev who used to always teach him stories from Mahabharat and Ramayana. Besides, I have never been arrested for any of my alleged ill doings. So the matter ends there. My antagonists have tried to capitalise on this issue, but to no avail.
Some people are saying there is a call within the Purohit community not to vote for you.
This is nothing new. I don't think what you say is true because people in this constituency want change and they know that I am capable of providing what they want.
And what is that?
In a nutshell to take what is not yours at any cost. Dev never did anything like that. Infact he even took a long time to take what rightfully was his and by that I mean his wife Radhika. I mean he could have easily got her but he waited to get permission from family, religeon and society before he took any concrete steps. He even had to wait for three Suhaag raats before he could finally make her his. As a result we have chronic problems of brain drain and inadequate social skills. All the past RajPurohits have spread disillusionment all around, particularly among our youth who have no freedom to break societies norms and traditions.There is not freedom of thoughts, speech and actions. I am here to help these people to break all these chains.
Your thoughts are remarkably similar to that of Vishaka Shastri, the almost wife of Dev Raj Purohit. Any comment on that.
I have heard people also discussing about that. I know Vishaka, infact I was the person who worked tirelessly for her upliftment both in Purohit Bhavan and Vrindavan. Vishaka is a great lady who believed in free love and like all the original thinkers she was not taken seriously and was ridiculed not only by the public but also by her own family members. Since I also face similar situation in life, I can understand her. After all whats the harm in sharing ones husband or wife. Both of us are not saying to share love, only other things.
But your actions in Vishakas case actually harmed her more than helped her.
I know and the main culprit is Kanha. Whatever happens, Radhika just has to sit in front of Kanha and he gives her whatever she asks. Kanah himself had loads of gopis running after him and had more than one wife so why can't we?
What are your thoughts about amma? We have got reports that you are quite friendly with her.
Amma! Oh what can I say about her. She is like a teddy bear and is one of the few people who understand both Vishaka and myself. Although we did have a bit of misunderstanding between us but that has now been cleared. She also believes that sometimes we have to even use our near and dear ones to fullfil our aim in life. Anyway isn't that what Kanha himself taught......that sometimes for the sake of mankind one needs to tell small lies and thats what amma, Vishaka and I am doing.
But Kanha worked for Dharma.Do you mean that you are too working for Dharma.
Thats a very good question. What is dharma? Basically it is to do ones duties. So what harm are amma and Vishaka doing. They are also following their own dharmas. Amma's work is the upliftment of all grandmothers in India so that they are not trampled upon and Vishakas is free love. Both are only following their own Dharmas. Even if you take my example, mine is to force rich people to share their things and life. Just because our dharma is different than Kanhas or Radhikas dharma, it should not make it less.
What makes you optimistic that the people will accept you?
We are positive that we will deliver the goods. Amma ffrom Vrindavan will be joining me soon. If you look at her and her actions in Vrindavan, irrespective of what she has done people still respect her and bow down to her. Infact when the choice had to be made between believing amma and believing Dev Raj Purohit, the common people in Vrindavan chose to believe her. Even after knowing what she is capable off, her own son does not do anything about her. She roams like a free bird. Do you know why because people know that whatever she is doing she is doing for the upliftment of grandmothers in todays society. In the same way people have realised that whatever I might do I will always work for the "sharing your life" policy.
Don't you think what you are thinking will clash with the more traditional thoughts of the common man.
It is not unique or limited to us. It is a problem being faced everywhere. But having said that, it will be my endeavour to ensure that we have a systematic and planned developmental effort, which benefits all people.

My past? Well it depends on the situation prevailing in the political scenario at that time. I have a pretty fluid past.
How long do you expect to remain in power?
Well that will definitely depend on public demand.
