Dev's expectations from his wife

Frnds A huge difference has come in the expectations of DEV from his wife. Here are some of the comparisons

When Visakha was Dev's wife. He had never expected anything from her as a wife.	Dev has lots of expectations from Radhika, as a wife.
He always wanted Visakha to successfully do her duties as the CB of the house.	Dev wants Radhika to fulfill the duties of a wife, as he knows that even without telling her she would fulfill the duties of the CB.
He never complained to Visakha of not supporting him in his decisions.	He gets upset with Radhika and also complains that to her, if she does not support him.
He never got upset with Visakha, if she failed in the duties of a wife.	Dev gets very upset when Radhika fails in the duties of a wife.
He always reminded Visakha, that she was the CB of the Purohit family and she should respect their traditions and values.	He constantly reminds Radhika that he is her husband and she should respect his decisions.

i didnot get what u r trying to say but yes there is big difference bcoz ,,

dev didnot know visakha and didnot love her ,,,he didnot believe at the first place that he was married to her,,,bcoz he had never seen her and for him she didnot exist,,,,he was so depressed that he had to accept the marriage but only for his dadi' s health and family,,,dev had to tolerate vish only bcoz of his family,,he never expected anything from her,,,

but dev knows radhika,,radhika was dev's DG,,and now wife,,,dev expects a lot of things from her,,,he knows that radhika will prove to be a good CB and wife bcoz she is a goodnatured girl,,,at this point dev expects only radhika's support,,,which radhika is giving to him....dev's expectations from radhika is growing ,,he gets upset when he feels that radhika is not supporting him,,,which never happened with vish,,,

i mean to say that when there are expectations,,,and when some part of that is not fulfilled it hurts,,,but every relationship has expectations,,,and its positive that dev has no expectations from vish ,,,that means,,he has no relation with vish...

As much as I dislike today's Dev, I have to say that the big difference is that he never had any expectations from Vish Kanya is bc he never cared for her forget love her. But radhika is his love and his life so his expectations from her are naturally there. As husband and wife so deeply in love they should have some very high expectations and understanding.

Agree with shiny bani and eva why should Dev have any expectation she was wife by accident only so he had no expectation from her but a lot from rad as she is his whole life and the only one whom he wanted to spend his life with for whom he fought,protected and loved to the extreme so he has lot of expectations out of his wife and soulmate.

I think Dev did have expectations from Vishaka. And I think he has expectations from Radhika too. However, Dev's expectations from both these women are very different in nature based on his relationship with them.

The expectations he had from Vishaka is the same an employer would have from his employee. That is to do the given job with sincerity in return for a good salary but without any personal indulgences. Vishaka's job (according to Dev's subconscious) was to carry out all the external jobs of a Choti bahu with sincerity and not to expect any personal indulgences from him in return for all the perks of being a daughter in law of a prestigious family. His expectations from Vishaka was more clinical than emotional and when she failed to meet those expectations his reaction was anger.

However, with Radhika his expectations are first and foremost of that of a wife, of a lover and only then of a CB. His expectations from Radhika are more on a emotional level and a spiritual level because it is based on deep love and committment. When his expectations were not met his reaction more than anger was frustration, disappointment and sadness.

Definitely, there is a big difference between his expectations of Rads and expectations of Vish when she was his wife. With Vish it was more like a business arrangement ... he expected her to do a few things for him and in return he would fulfil some of his obligations as a husband, not all of them

With Rads it is different ... since he is willing to do anything for her ... he also would like her to be fully connected with him, body and soul. He does not see himself as separate from her ... his expectations of her as CB are less bcos she puts that very close to the top of her priority list anyways

i think dev expects so many things from rads because he wants he knows she is a good wife and she can take care of everything.he did not love vish so he didn't care about her.
