Part 9 Previously:
Mr. Purohit- So now, whether he wants to or not, he has to get married!

It was late at night and everyone, as they were playing truth or dare in the living room, had fallen asleep there.
In the morning.
They were all asleep, practically on top of each other! It was quite a funny sight and when Mr. Purohit and Vaishali came in, they burst into laughter.
The cutest scene was Radhika snuggled right up to Dev and Vishaka trying to snuggle up to him too.
They all woke up as soon as they heard Vaishali giggling, except Radhika DIDN'T wake up.
Fuming with anger and jealousy (at the sight of Radhika snuggled up to Dev), Vishaka decided to make a mountain out of a molehill.
Vishaka- OMG! Radhika! Don't you have any shame?
Radhika suddenly wakes up and realises that she was sleeping so close to Dev, blushes really, really hard, and then pushes away from him.
Vishaka- OMG! Radhika I asked you a question! Don't you have any shame? Sleeping on top of a man like he's your husband!!!
Radhika didn't say anything, just looked down.
Everyone was quiet, luckily Mr. Purohit and Vaishali and Dadi had just gone out.
Vishaka- Shameless woman! You should be ashamed of yourself! Chee! Disgusting! You're like those women who work in brothe ----- (interrupted)
Dev- VISHAKA! Shut up!!
Vishaka- What have I said wrong? I'm absolutely right! Radhika is -------
Dev- VISHAKA! Shut up!
Vishaka- WHAT HAVE I SAID WRONG?
Radhika is silently crying in the back.
Dev- VISHAKA! YOU Bi***!!
He stepped forward and gave her a huge slap on her cheek. His eyes were full of anger and she started crying (like a baby).
Radhika at this moment only saw her sister hurt. She was upset whenever Vishaka got hurtâŚ
Radhika- DEV!!! (Her eyes were glaring at him full of tears, anger and sadness.) DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH MY SISTER!!
Dev- Radhika but she was-
Radhika- Whatever she was saying doesn't mean you have a right to go over and hit her!!
She ran forward to the crying Vishaka and hugged her.
Vishaka on the other hand was shedding crocodile tears and was extremely happy to create a rift between Dev and Radhika.
Everyone silently dispersed into their own rooms leaving Radhika, Dev and Vishaka.
Radhika- Vishaka, go to your room, ok? I'll be there in a momentâŚ
Vishaka silently left grinning at Dev.
Dev was angry. He pulled Radhika outside.
Dev- Radhika! Why are you supporting her? She said----
Radhika- Just go from here, GO!
D- ButâŚ
R- I SAID GO!!! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!
Suddenly great dark clouds blocked out all the sunlight making it seem like evening. Thunder and lightening struck and it was raining heavily.
Dev- NO!
He started advancing on her, whilst she was stepping back. She continued stepping back until she hit a tree. Her lips were trembling in fear whilst Dev, furious, was coming closer.
Radhika- DEV! LEAVE ME ALONE!
Dev- I don't think you're in any position to shout at me right now, (he said whilst tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.)
Radhika- LâLeave mâme alâalone⌠She whispered
Dev- And if I don't?
He moved closer to her,
She felt his warm breath on her lips, she breathed in slowly and breathed out trying to calm her erratic heartâŚ
He felt her warm breath on him⌠Aroused by it, he leapt in and smothered her lips with his, carefully caressing her back and hairâŚ
She didn't protest, she clasped her hands around his neck and pushed him closer to her.
Her wet salwaar clung to her body frame, showing her curves nicely⌠He moved his hands down to her waist and explored her body with his handsâŚ
She melted from his touchâŚ
He moved his lips down to her neck and left a trail of wet kisses down and back up to her face. He moved to her ear, nibbling it gently and she moaned urging him on more.
She wanted his lips on hers so pushed his head that way, he responded, sensing her desire and again kissed her on her lips⌠He started off gently but she parted her lips slightly to get some air and he took that opportunity to go deeper into the kiss, exploring with his tongue and kissing with the most passion.
She had no desire to stop, she urged him on by caressing his leg with her knee and he pushed her back against the tree for support as he pressed himself against her even more.
She suddenly realised what was happening and pushed him away.
Radhika- What were you doing?!
Dev- What?
Radhika- You⌠You⌠(she is shattered and fully ashamed of herself and fuming at the fact that Dev seemed indifferent about it.)
Radhika- I know men like you Dev! In he US, there are such men⌠who⌠whoâŚ.
Dev- ANGRY Who what Radhika!!?!!!!!
Radhika- I think you know what I mean!
Dev- NO ACTUALLY I DON'T DO YOU MIND CLEARING MY DOUBT?
Radhika- Who, who take advantage of girls and thenâŚ.
Dev- (fuming with anger) how dare you!
He went up to her, looked her in the eye and <slap>.
She fell to the ground, lip swollen with blood. She looked up to him with tears in her eyes as he left her alone, crying in the rain.

Radhika was screaming and crying in her sleep.
Everyone was gathered around her trying to wake her up, but she just wouldn't.
When she finally woke up she saw everyone in the living room, where they had been for playing truth and dare, she saw herself on the couch where she had been sleeping.
She touched her face, and it wasn't bleedingâŚ
She looked around for Vishaka who wasn't there⌠She looked around for Dev, who had just come in from office, (he had been called home by Birju)
It was just a dream⌠Or was it? She had no ideaâŚ
Payal suddenly called everyone to tell them that Radhika had woken upâŚ
Dadi- Radhika beta are you ok?
Everyone was worriedâŚ.
They had called a doctor who told everyone to go into the other room whilst he gave a prescription to help Radhika.
When everyone had gone, Radhika tried to get herself up, but was too weak, she had tears streaming down her face.
Dev came in and saw her in her worst state. She was as white as a ghost, bloodshot eyes, tears down her face with sweat over her forehead. She was still struggling t get up.
He rushed over to her to help herâŚ
He touched her arm and the usual electric shock went through him, but she stiffened.
Dev- Radhika are you alright?
Radhika- WâWhat time is iâit?
Dev- 10.00am, why?
Radhika- I need to go to--- she collapsed.
Dev- Doctor!! Come here quickly!!
Everyone rushed and they saw a terrified Radhika unconscious in Dev's arms.
Dadi was worried but was also pleased when she saw how Dev was taking care of Radhika.
Vishaka came strutting down the stairs.
Vishaka- Ok, I'm going shopping now, Dev you want to join me?
No-one paid attention to her and focused on Radhika.
Doctor- She is extremely weak, does she have any illnesses?
Mr. Purohit- We don't know, she is our guest you see.
Doctor- Ok, I'll have to take a few blood samples and tests then, it is important for me to know as soon as possible so I can give you the right medicine for her, ok?
Mr. Purohit- Yes of course.
<A few hours later, Radhika had regained consciousness for a few minutes and then fell into a deep sleep, but still crying in the bad dream>
Doctor came into the house againâŚ
Doctor- Ok, we have done some tests and have found that she suffers from anaemia, meaning that she suffers from fatigue as a consequence. Also she will have sudden outbursts of dizziness, sickness or nausea, and unconsciousness. As she is probably under shock, these symptoms will be very increased for at most a week, but after that she will be fine. She has to have these tablets: He gave them to Vaishali.
Dev- So after a week, she will be back to normal?
Doctor- Yes, but for this week she has to be properly taken care of, otherwise she will most likely suffer from insomnia (lack of sleep) for a few months.
Mr. Purohit- Thank you.

Radhika realises that all the stuff from previously when she supposedly wakes up, is a dream.
Dadi and Vaishali are talking about Dev's marriage upstairs and Dadi expresses her desire for Dev to marry Radhika.
Mr. Purohit is also in on this and says he too wants this to happen.
Meanwhile Sushil is listening and is not happyâŚ.

Sushil â Arjun! Listen to me! You need to trap Radhika! You need to get married to her quickly before you turn 26! , you are already 25 so not much longer is left! She needs to give you a baby quickly, only then you will become the prince of the Purohit Empire!!
Arjun- Dad, even I want this, but it is extremely hard to get to Radhika!
Sushil- No excuses! Now quickly! By tomorrow you should be good friends with her!

Radhika was being well looked after by Dev, Payal, Birju, Dadi, Vaishali, Mrinalini, and even Mr. Purohit.
The surprise party had come and Radhika had permission to do the dance.

They started their dance. It was so beautiful that all the guests had tears in their eyes. Halfway through Dev had to life Radhika really high and she whispered to him, 'Don't let me fall'. He said, 'Not in a million yearsâŚ'
All the other dances were amazing too, and Payal ended up doing hers on her own because Vishaka was so lazy.
Dadi, Vaishali and Mr. Purohit decided that they were going to go to Shastri ji when he came to pick them up, to ask for Radhika and Dev's engagement.
Mr. Purohit instructed Dev to stay with Radhika all the time. As she was feeling faint Radhika clutched onto his arm and leaned against him for support.
Radhika- I'm sorry Dev...
Dev- Why?
Radhika- Because of me you can't enjoy the party and you're probably going to get an arm ache after tonightâŚ
Dev- grinning- Nah, its okâŚ
Suddenly 'Phehli Nazar Mein' starts playing and the DJ asks all the couples to get onto the dance floor.
Pehli nazar mein

Dev takes Radhika onto the floor. He holds onto her bare waist and pulls her towards him. She shivers at his touch and he smiles as now he knows what his touch does to her.

They both stare into each others eyes. (Whilst dancing)

Dev suddenly twizzles Radhika out, and then into his arms. He is now hugging her from behind and dancing.
O jaan-e-jaan

He twizzles her again returning to the normal dancing position.

Bhool Ja aa
She clutches her arms around his neck and he takes most of her weight onto him, knowing she is feeling a little faint.

Everyone's eyes are on them, but they are lost in their own world.
The DJ changes the track and RaDev come back to Earth. Radhika blushes and Dev smiles at her, and they both leave the dance floor to watch everyone else.

Dev- Radhika, you wait here I'll just go and get some drinks ok?
Radhika- yes that's fine, don't worry J
Dev left Radhika to go into the kitchen and get a few drinks.
Meanwhile Radhika was swaying to the music, blushing as she remembered how Dev and held her whilst dancingâŚ
Arjun came up from behind and saw Radhika, her back and waist were exposed and his eyes looked at them full of lust.
He went up to her from behind and touched her on her bare shoulder.
She stiffened and turned around.
Radhika- Oh, Arjun, how are you?
Arjun didn't say anything but just looked at her with his lustful eyes.
Radhika saw this and her eyes filled with fearâŚ
He was clutching on very hard to her shoulder now⌠She was struggling to get out of his reach when he said:
Arjun- Be quiet and come with me before you scream and cause commotion.
She nodded and followed him to the outhouse.
They entered the outhouse and Arjun instructed Radhika to go into a certain room. But they were away from everyone so Radhika saw no point in obeying his command.
Radhika- Just tell me clearly what you want. We're away from everyone so you can't threaten me by saying don't make a commotion here, because it is obvious we can't. (Trying to sound brave)
He dragged her into the room and pinned her against the wall.

Dev was roaming around the kitchen. To be honest he really didn't care where Radhika was, even though he knew she was with Arjun in the outhouse.
He didn't care. (you all must be wondering why and the answer is is that Radhika and Dev go back a looong way.)
FLASHBACK

'No! You can't marry him Angel! (If u guys don't remember, Angel is Radhika's best friend in USA) a voice said.
Dev stood there, silent.
'Angel! He can't help you, I know guys like him, they claim they love you, but then one day they leave you all alone!'
He was angry. How can anyone judge him like this? Who was this person? He had no idea.
****************(STILL IN FLASHBACK)******************************
Angel had no idea that Dev had heard all of that. Instead when he asked her where she had been that afternoon she LIED and said that she was with Radhika at her office.
Then Dev thought that Radhika was the one who said all of those things about him⌠BUT HE WAS WRONG. (but Radhika and Dev don't know this.)
From that day on he had made a promise that he would make Radhika's life hell to pay back for him not being able to marry his love, Angel.

So, he knew what Arjun was doing, him and Arjun were partners in this plan⌠TO make Radhika's life, HELL.
