Part 11

Previously

So, he knew what Arjun was doing, him and Arjun were partners in this plan… TO make Radhika's life, HELL.

Meanwhile in the outhouse Dev sneaks in joining Arjun without Radhika knowing. Radhika is pinned against the wall and Arjun is looking at her lustfully.

Radhika tries to get out of his grip but it doesn't work…

R- Leave me alone….

Arjun doesn't say anything, but reaches for the rope behind him and puts it around Radhika's waist, pulling her closer to him.

R- L—leave me al—lone. .. … … … …

He took the rope and tied it around her hands at the back. She was tied up…

Arjun left from there. He saw Dev on his way out and whispered:

A- Part 1 complete

D- Initiate Part 2….

He grinned at Arjun and then rushed into the room shouting, 'Radhika? Radhika!'.

He saw her crouching on the floor with her head up against the wall…

He couldn't help but feel sorry for her… but he remembered his plan and rushed towards pretending he cared about her… (he did a little bit… but he doesn't know it yet… J)

He got over to her, untied her and brought her in for a hug. She was crying and pulled even closer to him. He patted her back and said:

D- Radhika, are you ok?

R- Hmm.

D- We should go before anyone suspects anything.

He took her inside to stay with Payal.

He saw Arjun in the kitchen and whispered to him.

D- Part 2 – make Radhika trust me and think I'm good, done.

A- Next step?

D- Engagement.

Arjun was secretly annoyed. He needed to marry Radhika because his dad wanted him to… but Dev had asked him for a favour…. Oh well he thought…

Dev was thinking to himself… Only recently he had realised that this Radhika was the Radhika who was judgmental about him…

But he knew that she did something to him… Her touch made an electric current run through him…

Her laughter made him smile… Her sadness made him sad… Her smile made him feel contented… She was special… but she was the reason why he couldn't marry Angel, his love…

His plan was to marry her, with her will… And then treating her horribly until she cried and cried and begged him to stop. This was his idea of revenge.

And his plan was going perfectly…

He had overheard the conversation that Shastri ji would be coming back the next day (aka in a few hours) and then Mr. Purohit and Vaishali were going to ask for Radhika as the "choti bahu" …

D- (to himself) Big Whoop man! Their lovable Radhika will become our "choti bahu" ughh….

He hated the way that everyone loved her, but he liked it when he saw her bonding with his family…

Arjun was happy yet upset…

Happy that Dev had promised him a wife in return for helping him, but sad as Radhika would now be Dev's wife…

Radhika knew nothing of this. She was overjoyed… She didn't know about her getting engaged to Dev so soon, but she was happy that he made her feel sooo special.

She felt something special for Dev too…

Shastri ji, Devaki and Amma, were coming to pick Radhika and Vishaka up. The function they had gone to attend had finished early.

They arrived at the Purohit Mansion and saw Radhika give the aarti to everyone.

They sat down and all the 'children' (i.e Payal, Vish, Rads, Dev, Arjun, Birju and Rohan) were sent upstairs so that the elders could talk about serious stuff (i.e RaDev engagement.)

Mr. Purohit- Shastri ji we have something important to talk to you about…

Shastri ji- Ji?

Mr. Purohit- Um, Well since Radhika has stayed with us ------------- (interrupted)

Amma- Oh, God, God, God! What has that evil witch done now? I'm sorry if you've had any problems because of her, I'm ----------

Dadi- No! No, No, No!!! We mean that Radhika has been amazing while she was with us! And we have been thinking seriously for a long time, that maybe,

Vaishali- Maybe we should get Dev and Radhika married?

Shastri ji and Devaki and elated at this point.

Amma- No, No, No! How can SHE marry Dev babu? I was thinking maybe Vishaka should marry---------

Shastri ji – No, No, we would love to get Radhika and Dev married, this is very happy news!

Devaki- Ji! This is, extremely good news!! J :D

Mr. Purohit- Accha… I was thinking we should get them engaged today, or tomorrow?

Dadi- Ji, we want to get this wedding done as soon as possible…

Shastri ji- Ji, tomorrow would be good, there is a good murrat tomorrow, so tomorrow, ok?

Vaishali- Ji, Ji, but maybe we should ask Radhika first?

Devaki- She will agree don't worry…. Maybe we should ask Dev babu?

Dadi- Don't worry he WILL agree!!! J

Whilst all of this is going on, Mrinalini gets all the 'kids' downstairs to tell them the good news.

Mrinalini makes Dev and Radhika sit on a sofa on their own. Dev is grinning at Arjun who is grinning back whilst Radhika has no idea what's going on…

Arjun is grinning back and winks at him.

Radhika- Um, Mrinalini Di, what's going on?

Mrinalini- No, u have to call me Mrinalini BHABHI!!

Radhika- <thinking for a while> then blushes really, really, really, really hard as she understands that she is getting married to Dev. Kya?

(Sorry It didn't seem the same if I wrote 'what?' in English… I think the Hindi gets the better impact…)

Rohan comes running down the stairs…

Rohan- CHACHI!!! Chachi, chachi!!! Can you play with me???? PLEASE?? I'll be a good boy I promise!!!

Everyone starts laughing as Rohan runs down and jumps into Radhika's lap and Radhika starts stroking his hair.

Dev finds it cute at first and then realises what he had to suffer (separation from his lover) because of Radhika and his blood starts to boil….

All the adults start doing all the stuff like matching horoscopes and fixing a date for the wedding.

AND it turns out that an amazing moorat that only appears in like 100 years is this week so the wedding is fixed for then.

Sunday-----------------------------WEDDING!!!!!!!! AND reception!!!!

Everyone was soooo happy, Shastri ji and Devaki were practically crying, Dev and Arjun were scheming…

Payal, Mrinalini, Birju and Rohan were soooo happy they were organising everything already!!

Amma and Vishaka were bummed…. Dev, Vishaka's so called love was marrying her YOUNGER sister…. Her YOUNGER sister was getting married first and that too to HER love…. She was sooo angry…

And Amma was too…. She had tried so hard to get Vishaka into this house to the most eligible Bachelor in New Delhi (aka Dev) but instead her useless sister, Radhika, that witch, was getting married to him…

Vaishali was overjoyed. She was getting a sweet, well educated, good mannered girl as her choti bahu…

Dadi too was so pleased that her choti bahu was so well educated (a doctor)

The only worry for Radhika was if she would be able to continue working after marriage… I mean she was only 23… she had worked for like only 3 years and by spending 6 years on her education se thought it was a waste…

Devaki was also thinking that… as Radhika had come with that letter (first update) it said that her parents wanted her to work… but then she also thought of all the money that they had sent for her wedding and suddenly brightened up…

The wedding was going to be the biggest in Delhi… THE MOST ELIGIBLE BACHELOR, DEV RAJ PUROHIT was getting married at 24 to a 23 yr old WELL EDUCATED DOCTOR, RADHIKA SHASTRI, (Who was well-mannered and well, beautiful, as well.)

This time, even Shastri ji and Devaki had no problems with money J they had a huge stack sent by Radhika's late biological parents.

As the engagement was tomorrow, Payal, Mrinalini, Vaishali, Dadi and Radhika went out to but her engagement outfit.

They came back with a saree for Radhika and sherwani for Dev.

As everyone was staying over for the week, they all decided to play a huge game of antakshari… except in this one you had to dance as well as sing to the song!!! Woooo!!!!

So it was the boys against the girls and the boys started with:

The game carried on like until late in the night, then everyone decided to sleep as it was the engagement the next day…

ENGAGEMENT DAY!!!!

Radhika woke up at 6.30 and did the aarti etc. as normal. Her, Payal and Mrinalini got their hair and nails done and Rads wore her saari :

Everyone was rushed downstairs to the ceremony were they both exchanged rings.

It wasn't a big ceremony, only family were there.

It went pretty quickly, as there wasn't much to it.

Everyone was sitting around in the living room. The elders were all talking amongst themselves so the 'kids' went upstairs in the upstairs living room.

They were all playing random games like 'would you rather' (a game where u ask someone would u rather do this or that). Etc.

Suddenly the main clock in the room struck twelve. Everyone decided to go to sleep.

Dev was just remembering the previvous day:

(basically he remembers Radhika in her saree looking MINDBLOWING as usual J her hair is left open and is blowing because of the breeze. <She's at the top of the stairs btw> She is walking down and Dev is walking up and she trips over her heels. He catches her in his arms. <imagine the song Is Pal, (from Aaja Nachele, or Hum hain iss pal yaahan (KISNA) Playing J) He stares at her and she at him. EYE LOCK!!

He stares at her natural beauty… He is lost in her hazel brown eyes and she in his chocolate brown.

His sub conscious mind realises that he could possibly be in love with her… but his revenge seeking conscious mind says to him NO!!

But he isn't listening to either of them… he just stares at her…

He thinks about this… is he falling for Radhika? Nah… Can't be… Not possible… She's the reason that he was depressed for so long, so how can he fall for her? … He was confused…

But then he used his conscious mind and realised how he could use this 'feeling/attraction' towards Radhika to his advantage… he could act like he loves her so much and then make her fall for him… then crush her…. 'Mwahahahahahaha!' He thought…
