she is my absolutely favorite character. She is honest with herself and her "husband"- totally matlabi to the core and clear in her intentions. She will go to any lengths to achieve her goals. No wishy-washy confusion as far as she is concerned. I sincerely hope she cuts out the nonsense of trying to be an adarsh bahu and gets on with her ambitions. It is time to jolt the prohit pariwar awake with a livewire like her. She needs to explain to this medieval family that women have aspirations that have nothing to do with puja and housekeeping. Poor dear, she had it from her father, for not being more like radhika, and now she is stuck in a family where all that puja and housekeeping is needed to be the adarsh bahu.

it is time for her to use that wit of hers to get her to change the minds of people about the expectations of a choti bahu. She is still following all directions and is not taking her bold steps that she is famous for! Good work by the script writers and the artist who essays that role.

I always sympathized with Vishakha's character. She is determined and fiercely ambitious and I can understand that. But there was one particular incident which weakened her character ... to the point of disbelief.

When Dev was ill and lying unconscious ... Vaishali asked her to rub the balm on his feet.

I remember that scene very well. Vaishali left. Vishakha smelt the balm, made a face, looked at Dev's feet and grimaced. She then took a spoon, stepped back a little and applied a little balm with the spoon. And all this time had a clear expression of disgust on her face.

That was an unexpected reaction. How could her character do that? When someone is ill ... their caste, creed, s*x, color, financial status, social status etc. is forgotten. When someone is incapacitated in some way ... you serve this person until she / he recovers.

Dev is not her husband but he is not a stranger either. They share a room, closets, furniture, personal items etc. And Dev is always the perfect gentleman. He is kind, tolerant and understanding ... the perfect friend.

This lack of compassion for a fellow human being was disconcerting. I have always believed that women are emotionally stronger than men. But that day I felt betrayed by the unfeeling, uncaring, cold Vishakha.

I am hopeful that the coming episodes will portray Vishakha as an ambitious woman ... but not at the cost of her humaneness or femininity.

The human society is a symbiotic society. We are dependent on each other. And as a human being, it is our moral duty to help another human being, especially someone who is incapable of taking care of himself.

That day the creatives were supremely unfair to Vishakha's character. And they broke my heart ... 🥺

dimpy-lovely- it is a toss up between being brutally honest that includes being totally self centered- ambitious. I did use the word matlabi! As for her sexual choices- though she is willing- after an initial hesitation- typical of her character- come what may, all she sees is her goal- her ambition. I am no one to pass judgement on her personal choice of willing to sleep with a person not her husband by rite.

I am more in line with what simi said. I am all with her in how the scrip writers threw in that scene about applying the medicine on Dev's feet when he was down and out. Here again, if we were to follow the same rule of thumb of basic humanity, then the mother or the dadi could have applied that same oil- not the bahu- why should the bahu do all this? I just don't get it.

Come on folks, we live in the 21st century and dev does carry a cell phone around. The least we can do is clarify what it entails to be a wife- does it mean being a drudge who does not get paid for the work you do?

The basic premise of this serial is the definition of marriage. So, if you define it on a daily basis by saying that only if you apply medicine with a loving hand, you are an adarsh wife- PULEEZ. Or wash clothes and hang it out like a dhobi or keep on cooking until the cows come home... well- it is time for a new one. The love angle of Dev and rad- well, that could be a great starting place for a good marriage. The willingness to do anything for each other, the ability to dream together and support each other in their respective beliefs, work, interests etc.that does not mean they need to be the same- they could be mutually exclusive.

I do not believe that to make radhika look "good", the script needs to mke Vishaka look "bad". They can be mutually "good" in their own way. Vishaka is clearly a self centered character who is interested in one thing- Vishaka- it is very clear. Let us not muddy it with rudeness from her- rather, she can continue to be slightly insensitive to others- as she is that way- and arrogant- the way she is with Mrinalini- never letting down her sister in front of her! In her own uncaring way she is fond of her sister and knows that she is a doormat to be well used like one. As I said- matlabi- yes, nancy love selfish- but all are in agreement with that- it is the sickening :goodie goodieness" of Radhika that is irritating when she lies all the time- hence I am more sakth with her character. Vishaka makes no bones of her selfishness while Radhika puts on such a "proper" act. It is time she gave herself a break and her "husband".

All I have to say is that Vishakha's character is not the one that is liked by many. She is very selfish and mean person. Being raised by a Pandit father and religious mother she has no Sanskaars. This is limit of Bigree huyee Ladaki. So now she does not care about anything but herself. If Radha is telling all kinds of lies then Vishakha is not honest and truthfull as well. First, she let her family believe that everything is fine between her and her husband. second, she is doing everything in Prohit family just to get their attention and become perfect Bahu, so later she can have the money.Never even once she had asked her husband why they don't have a normal husband -wife relationship. She simply does not care!!!!!!!!!! Radha for her is a toy that she can use anytime she wants and throw it away when she is done with it. Like In today's puja- Vishakha so Rudly replies to auntie that Radha has a habbit of Tokka-Takki .This girl has no emotions at all. She simply is MEAN AND SELFISH SO SELFISH THAT IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE. For a GAON KI GIRL and born and raised in a religious family, it does not make sense for someone to be So Rude and INsensitive. I think a person can be self -centered and selfish to a point but Rude and Inhumane!!!!!!!!!!!!! not done!!!!!!!.

i agree with u riya777.vishaka did tell her parents she doesn't wanna get married.when she ran away from her wedding her mother should have told everyone the truth.but she didn't.vishaka again ran away but her dad got her back.for god sake y can't they just speak the truth for once.vishaka isn't worried that once when people will find out she is not devs' wife what will happen then y is devki so stressed out.anyways once she becomes an actress nobody bothers about it.

at least Vishakha knows what see wants ...though i don't approve of her ways. But I think relying on wrong ways to achieve ambition more than Vishakha her family is responsible or her birth in a wrong family.
