Chhoti Bahu ... Sindoor Bin Suhaagan - Update March 12th 2009
Part 1:
Show starts with Dev returning home and his entire family assembled for Purohitji to make an announcement. Dev asks if he can say something first, dadi tells Purohitji to allow Dev to go first. Dev then tells his family that he is leaving for America next week. Everyone including Vishaka look shocked. Dev's elder bro and Birju look at each other what brought this about. He then says: Vishakha bhi mere saath jaa rahi hai(Vishkha is coming with me too) and then Vishkha looks shocked and confused. His mom asks him that how come you decided to go. Dev says this was always his intention and that he is just going sooner now that his visa papers have come.Dadi says we thought you would stay here now. Dev's Mama and his drunkard son look surprised and happy, so does Mrinalini. His mom tries to talk to him but Purohitji stops her. Dev then asks Purohitji what announcement did he want to make but Purohitji says nothing and so Dev and Vishaka go upstairs.
Mama and son plot to be nice to Purohitji. In the meantime, Vishkha asks Dev why they are leaving so early and that she won't be able to adjust to America since she hasn't even been out of Vrindavan and is slowly beginning to adjust to Delhi. vishakha blurts out: Mere career ka kya (what happens to my career) but then stops herself and says who will care for me. Dev tells her it is only a matter of time, and that he will provide for her where ever she chooses to go once they live their separate ways in America.
Part 2:
Amma is pacing the floor while Devki watches her looking scared as usual. Amma tells Devki- Aane de Lalla ko (Wait till son/Shastriji comes home), he is going to be angry and throw Radhika out and says when Shatriji gets angry, you face it, I am just going to raise my hands (Amma looks like the Laffing Buddha here with arms raised, hilarious!) Just then, Shastriji comes home and and calls for Radhika. Amma and Devki wait to see if he comments on Raadhika's sindoor but he just looks at her and says, I am hungry, please serve the food.
Once Dev goes upstairs, Mom tells Purohitji lets tell Dev about your condition, I am sure then he would not leave, Purohitji says do not stop Dev if he stays it should be be because he wants to take on his responsibility and not as a bhoj. Dev's elder bro and Dadi plan to talk to Dev but Mirinalini comes and tells them to let him go and they should not stop his dreams.Birju finds Dev in the Verandah and asks him why he is really going, Dev explains that it is nothing. Dadi then comes and says Dev is big enough to make his own decisions and should go to America if it makes him happy and that she would comfort his parents as well. Dev looks upset by what Dadi said cos she doesn't look happy.
Part 3:
In Vrindavan, Radhika is serving Shastriji and Amma and Devki look to see if Shastriji says anything but Shastriji just tells Radhika to serve food and she does happily. Vishakha is thinking about her Bollywood dreams and asks herself what will she do if she goes to America. She then thinks she could act in Hollywood but then laments she doesn't even know how to speak English properly. She then tries to call Purab but can't get through. Dev walks in and asks her who she is calling and she says Vrindavan to tell her parents about moving to America. Dev tells her he will call Vrindavan tomorrow to speak to her family.
In Vrindavan, Shastriji before sleeping tells Devki that he should be proud that his daughter is married to Lord Krishna but he is a father and like any father wants to see his daughter married and with a family and so he will wait till she herself tell him that she wants to get married. In Delhi, Mama's son tries to get close to Purohitji by attending morning puja and asking Purohitji how he can help him and he just needs a chance.
Highlight Scene:
Dev then calls Vrindavan and Radhiks picks up the phone and says hello.
He says: yeh Shastriji ka ghar hai? (is this Shastriji's house?)
She says: Ji haan (Yes)
He then recognizes her voice and says: yeh tum hi ho na (This is you isn't it)
She looks scared and doesn't know what to say
PRECAP: Radhika is at the temple telling the groom she rejected that she didn't have a chance to say sorry.
