Angie I liked the introduction scene...its one of my fav ones in the show. Radhika walks in adaze pulled by the flute music and she goes and stands behind Dev like little girl...she is looking very innocent here and her looks to me said "you called me and here I am". Liked your VM...so no brick bats from me.
Misti, thanks.
When I found this song on youtube, that scene came immediately to my mind and that's why I started making it. In fact, the piano sound was very short in the song version I downloaded.
If I had a longer piano music playing before the lyrics, I would have started from the time Radhika started walking in that dazed manner towards Dev and would have only started the lyrics where Dev felt her presence and stopped playing to look at her. I think there was another version of the song that had longer piano music, but I was too lazy to edit the song.
But beyond this, I had problems with all scenes. I was ok with using the beach scene even though I had used that scene earlier. But here half of the scene was from the section I hadn't used earlier. But I did not want to use the bus scene at all as I had used it before. But that was the only scene that seemed to fit. Others I tried didn't exactly work even though they were beautiful. But the biggest problem I had was scene for lyrics "na milne ka gum, na milke ki kushi". I did not want to use this scene from Radha/Madhavi track because it was so hard to edit and that's why you can see choppy editing.
In fact, Avinash and Rubina had beautiful expressions in this scene but it was hard to get solo scene. Mostly Madhavi kept popping up in every other frame and then it was either Dai, Padma, Maheswari or Mohini. I tried to edit it for 45 minutes and was trying to use the parts where both had beautiful expressions. But it became so discontinuous that I ended up using the last part of the scene. Still, it was not the same effect I wanted. The only other scene that I could think for these lyrics was that Radhika/Kanha and Dev scene where R/K comes to PB and Dev hugs R/K in relief with tears flowing down his face. The scene had contrasting expressions from Dev and R/K's side that fit the lyric where there is yearning to be so attuned to one another that separation or meeting cease to be important.
Avinash had really emoted well in that screen and so had Rubina where she was smiling in a calm manner. But I felt that it was cheating because it was R/K and not Radhika. So did not want to use that scene. Maybe others have different view that R/K scenes can be considered Radhika's scenes for the purpose of VM.
However, now I can understand why you and Rajsri want me to make sad songs because that's where Dev's emotions are shown the best.
