As for Padma misunderstanding Rads, she began during Rohan's accident and continued until Rohan himself didn't become fine. When he was fine and began praising Rads, Padma too forgave Rads in a moment. Then, her attack on Rads started openly during the Barkha drama. Initially she was fine and even supported Rads (well, feebly). Remember her saying that Rads can do everything and she was the best person to become RPtian. So yes, she was fine with Rads...until the progression of seeing her own reflection in Barkha didn't start coming up. It was always there...but started raising its ugly head up when Barkha became the focus of everyone's sympathy after trapping Rads!

Thereafter, Padma started feeling more and more attached to Barkha and in the process, she started disliking Rads. Perhaps, she saw Chaya's reflection in Rads.

But Padma's such nature doesn't come as surprise because she has done such behaviour earlier with Dev too. With Rohan, she can forgive 1000 sins, even an attempt to murder, just by a simple drop of tear by Rohan...whereas Dev's slightest mistakes would be blown out of proportion. Remember the letter incident, before Rohan-Rads marriage...wherein Padma was the first to call Dev a traitor and even called him "ganda khoon" "Gandi zaban" and what not! Why? Because he darling son's feelings were getting hurt because of Dev. Infact Rohan, himself, didn't loose his trust on Dev so soon... but Padma who has seen Dev since childhood and knew him very well, instantly blamed him for everything. The same example can be cited during the "Kidnapping incident" Since Rohan -- her main weakness -- was saying Dev was wrong...it means that Dev MUST be WRONG! Even today Barkha -- another main point of her weakness cuz she sees herself in Barkha -- said Rads tried to kill her and Padma judged that Barkha WAS RIGHT! Despite knowing that Rads can never ever hurt, forget killing someone, she believed that Rads can actually attempt to kill Barkha!

Padma is a very weak judge of nature. She was fooled for 12 long years by BB...just by cuddling and loving her son Rohan. Since Rohan was in a happy space, Padma forgot about BB's past behaviors and accepted her as right! It was only after BB's evil deeds came out, she started becoming harsh on her again!

Padma has not just done wrong to Rads but to Dev as well. Even now, she is asking Barkha to perform vrats as Dev's wife and is expecting Dev to accept Barkha as wife...! She is doing wrong to Dev as well as Rads. She is smiling when Rads is denied by Dev to the Karwachaut fast...is unhappy when Barkha couldn't complete fast...all because she sees Chaya's reflection in Rads and her own in Barkha and hence wants Dev to accept Barkha. Sick woman!

Basically she is blind,she can't find the truth and lie... If anyone harms her or her lovable rohan and barkha, she will just thing that it will Dev or Rads... She should soon open her eyes..
