Misti, I like the character analysis you are doing as I have lot of reservation with underlying storyline as well as dialogues given to Kanha here...well it are the characters that are keeping me involved with this story...and this show does have some very interesting characters and after almost more than two months they are again slowly coming out. Other than Dev today it was Mohini who interested me...
I liked this insecure Dev and also this Dev who is now getting angry at various family members. Yesterday it was Padma and today it was with Virat and Maheswari. His insecurity has increased to the extent that he is now asking for reassurance from Radhika that she wouldn't leave for anywhere without telling him first. So I liked this role of reversal of Dev who was always sure of Radhika. Yes now the shoe is on the other foot...and he is slowly stopping taking Radhika for granted.he is clamouring for ressurance...somehow I felt like kid who knows that he has done wrong and thats why the guardian has walked off...and now falling all over himself to get the reassurance that although he has been bad please don't leave him...and that is waht Radhika/kanha's question regarding him forgiving her or reminding him indirectly what is actually the bone of conetion between them made me smile...
I liked his staggering in pain at the thought of Radhika's death. He seemed to believe in Mohini's words probably because he had himself had that intuition a month ago and had constantly got worried about Radhika a month ago. Yes I also liked his immediate reaction... But again he is given so little material that we just to have rely on Avinash's expressions which are superb. His scene with Maheswari was edited and again I question that. Why not shorten that Kanha/Balram conversation in the cowshed instead and show more of Dev's thoughts.yes please here...I am all for this.
I liked his relief and hurried run towards Radhika when he finally saw her. Liked his anger at Virat and Maheswari that they were playing games when Radhika concerned him. Yes
Padma not being happy to see Radhika or not happy to hear that Dev may forgive Radhika was more like Padma. Yes this is the real Padma... Again if she can forgive Rohan instantly even though he never apologized (at least in her hearing), but has problems with Dev forgiving Radhika. Why is that? She is his wife and love of his life. He was miserable and in pain without her and even now the thought of losing her makes him suffer. If he is her son as she claims him to be, then she would be trying to bring them closer and not remind him that Radhika is irresponsible. Again all that is fine as long as she is not called nice by Kanha.Yes.
In the scene between Radhika/Kanha and Dev, my only problem was Radhika/Kanha saying that Radhika would never leave Dev. I think even spiritual partners should leave when the trust is broken. Maybe it meant that Radhika would never leave Dev emotionally but to me it is valid that Radhika should leave Dev physically when he has let her down so badly. I took it as emotional...because Dev is feeling the loss of emotional link...it also links with what he praed for on suday that he gets back the Rdahika with whom he fell in love with...the one with whom he was emotionally close to...Dev is an emotionally starved person and that is why Rdahika is important to him. I hope it is not Kanha bringing out Radhika to Dev once Barkha is exposed because that would be so contrary to this story. Dev's payback should be losing Radhika and he has to look for her and attain her trust again before he can be together again. yes...here...Iwant Dev to go in search of Radhika and let Kanha test him...he deserves that.
But again there was something missing in Dev's scenes. Probably it is his taking at face value everything that is said to him by Padma, Dai, BB, Virat, Mohini. Why is he not questioning about all these talks about Radhika going on in his house?maybe then he will have to question Barkha's authenticity and hence his actions.
Ok, I liked Virat today who was stunned that his own mother can go to such an extent to save her skin. Also Mohini does care for him. She has always wanted his attention but he always ignored her for his own ambitions. He does care for her but doesn't take her seriously. Also I liked how Mohini took the blame on herself rather than wanting BB to take a false oath. Mohini has more layers but unfortunately she has been reduced to just a comic role in last few months. For that matter, even Maheswari has been reduced to that...what I found interesting here is that Mohini has a complex regarding people ridiculing her and calling her silly...but today she kept that aside and accepted the blame to protect Virat...Regarding Mohini and comic role...yes she has been reduced to that and thats why I liked this layer in her being revealed today.Maheshwari also the same case...treated as a comic but she also revelead her true self...these two charatcers are far more than just being comic ones.
I found that prasad scene between her and Radhika/Kanha very tiresome. It demeaned Yes Radhika/Kanha where Radhika/Kanha is doing petty things. Also it was a stupid comedy from my point of view. Yes...I lost my interest here...why petty revenge scenes for Kanha...he is much above all this childish stuff.
I liked Radhika/Kanha's interaction with Balram as both are playful. But I am not liking this actual Kanha. First of all, this actual Kanha and Radhika/Kanha do not gel and look like different characters. It would have been preferable to bring in that playful Kanha from CB1 who would have gelled more with Radhika/Kanha. Secondly, the actual Kanha doesn't have chemistry with Balram whereas Radhika/Kanha has a lot. Why not just show Radhika/Kanha with Balram as audience now know that Radhika/Kanha is Kanha. Yes to all here... I prefer Radhik as kanha than the other one. Until now Nitish Bhardwaj has been the best kanha...I have always liked him because he has a mischievious twinkle in his eyes...which Rubina has when she is enacting Kanha...
On top of that Kanha's lines are so ridiculous where the conversation indicates that Barkha is so cunning and powerful that she can even deceive Gods. What nonsense is this? Yes...I still cannot get my head around this dialogue...I thought that Knah is the all powerful so how can a mere human being compare to him.....Then there is that gem of a dialogue that Radhika's culprits have been punished. How is that? By having a small accident for Barkha in exchange for a murder of a devotee. If they show this as punishment then I will take it as an insult to the audience...since they are showing kanha all the time..even in Mahabharat Kanha never let the perpetrators go with minor whacks on their head...so I am hoping that they will show more here regarding Barkha and her punishment. ... So now all is left is for Radhika to get her rights. Hmm...so Barkha is going to be scot free even though she is a cold-blooded murderer who doesn't care if an innocent person (driver of the car) is killed or kids on the road are killed. Not to mention that she has already committed one murder and was trying to committ another. But she has been punished. And how have other PF members been punished. By thinking for a minute that real Radhika is dead...please don't insult viewers intelligence creatives. They answer back with ratings. yes to all here...the majority of the audience is waiting for a long drawn out punishment for Barkha...
Yes, this was a weird scene. This Barkha sees Dai talking like old self and is not even freaked out. Very silly scene. Lets see what is shown tomorrow. By that I mean I am interested in seeing Dev's reaction and action. Will there be some growth shown in him tomorrow or will be disappointed once again?lets see what do they have for tmrw...but Barkha not reacting to dai talking is weird.
Kanha Balram conversation is now irritating me immensely because they are playing with lines given to God and hence are playing with faith here. Yes ..they are continuosly messing up their dialogues... I have already written about it above. I don't like this guy who is playing Kanha. I would rather they keep on showing Rubina in the cowshed with Balram. His lines are atrocious. He should be given minimum lines with Balram on Kanha's justice and leela because they are constantly messing them up badly. Just show Kanha's actions through Radhika/Kanha. Yes to here... I agree that the story has to move in the direction where Dev is given guidance and he breaks through his blindness and comes through for Radhika. I don't want Kanha to miraculously do things for Radhika. Otherwise, the divine story is totally lost. It is already dented pretty badly and can't survive any new "creativity" on CVs part. Make Dev the lead of the show. He again was a side character today. His puppet act has to change and he need to be made strong again. Yes thats why I pointed out regarding the lead in this show...this show was described as a divine love story..yes kanha is there...he is the essence of the show and is the guide but not the lead...Dev is the lead and the sotry is about Dev and Radhika ...they are at the centre.
Yes, liked Avinash a lot. Wish his scenes would be longer. They should cut actual Kanha/Balram scenes and show more interaction between Radhika/Kanha and Dev. Liked Mickie, Sangeeta and Pragati. Was happy to see Rubina back today as she does lighten up the episode. Wary now that Barkha is back, how much she would be dominating tomorrow's episode. This is one character that makes CB extremely boring. Yes to all here...
