I know all of us are down and out with the friday episode and I was also in a horrible frame of mind. But it is in my nature to do some reflection on what has happened and why and what is the solution. Sometimes when you do take decisions you have no idea how the other is affected and you dont quite realise that this may be for a lifetime, with time situations also change. It is clearly payback time to Dev.
When Radhika implored, begged cried and requested on the grounds of dharm to accept their child marriage Dev refused it and we know the reasons for the same. For Radhika she just wanted to adorn herself with sindoor and lead a simple life with Dev. She was not interested in being the CB of RP fmaily nor was she interested in being RPian. But Dev had different ideas and wanted the best for her which he could not give as he was a servant. He also went to the extent of manhandling her and showed total contempt initially for having caused havoc in Rohan's life. Radhika was getting the status of CB and Dev was a naukar. Once Rohan's games were exposed Dev was keen on making Radhika his, when the huge boulder was dropped on his head when his true identity was revealed and was announced as the RP to be. The situation changed.
Dev and Radhika got married again. But with the non-acceptance of radhika as Dev's bride and with the additional responsibility of taking over RP position, Dev has come to the stage where he has to choose RP over his wife. Dev pushed Radhika for Rohan, but because of that he is unable to choose Radhika in public. In both the situations the worst affected is Radhika. the current situation is such that the decision is completely taken out of their hands and they have to follow what is expected out of them. there were lot of revenge situations we had made for Dev when he was bad with Radhika. I was one among those who strongly felt that Radhika has to go away from Dev for good for him to realise his folly. they maybe in love with each other and it maybe deep but I dont quite agree that Radhika has to be made a sacrificial lamb for the greater good. When Dev announced Barkha as his wife my heart completely broke not that I was not expecting it because the situation has completely reversed. I wont be surprised now if Radhika is subjected to the role of the naukarani of the house.
Barkha has been vindictive and anyone who hurts Radhika she goes for them Before long she will go for Dev for letting down Radhika and not accepting her publicly as his wife. This will not be a romantic thing but the revenge sequence which we had conceived when she will act terribly with Radhika to hurt Dev more and for him to realise what Radhika would have gone through. Even if Dev accepts his childhood marriage why would Barkha leave them? that will be the revenge she islikely to take.
Dev accepting Barkha when not married to her as his wife leads to the next question. How is he different from Rohan? Rohan did not marry Radhika yet claimed her his wife and Dev did the same. Is it because Dev is now an RP he can go scot free with this?
A whirlpool in which Dadaji was the first one to succumb, Radhika went to hold his hand and is slowly getting into it, Dev is the life line here who is being pushed deeper into this by Padma, and daima.
what an irony of situation. It brings tears to my eyes seeing the plight of the two of them and am unable to decide with whom my sympathies rest.
