I am aghast at Radhika's psyche. She is so overwhelmed by the turn of events that made her Dev's wife due to Bharka's shenanigans, and by DDJi's extremely adverse reaction to the news that she forgot what Dharma really is. She has taken DDJ's dharma as the truth and we know that DDJ's is not the epitome of truth. He hid his son's first marriage and made him marry Padma, then he took over the Dev, offspring from the first marriage and brought him up, not as a grandson in the eyes of society, but as an orphan that he had taken pity on..resulting in Dev being treated like a servant (a well care for one but nevertheless, a servant).
Now what i cannot understand is how society can accept that Dev is the son of RP's son's first marraige...a marriage that was never dissolved...which actually places Padma in an embarrasing position and Rohan a possible illegitimate. Now how come there is no shame in telling the world that? If there is no shame in telling the world that truth then what is the shame in telling about Dev's marraige to Radhika, what is the shame in telling that Radhika and Rohan never marriied?
Now back to Radhika, as i said she was overwhelmed by the turn of events, i can understand her dilemna but covering the truth is not going to help anyone. What she is planning to do is ADHARM. She must decide what is TRUTH, is society's perception more important than the TRUTH? Perhaps because we live in a mundane world, - picture the scenario - Dev is forced to marry Bharka (presumably he would divorce Radhika first - yes i can almost hear Radhika GASP at this but she will stiffen and pretend it is ok...fine ..its her life and she has the right to choose the way she wants to live it and in this it will be without Dev). then some of you will say 'but Kanha will not allow it...' i beg to differ, Kanha has allowed to do it unless he intervenes and creeeps into the CVs mind and make them see sense :). Frankly i don't think the CVs are portraying Kanha as he really is, they are portraying a story to get us all agitated and worked up... sigh
I also felt that Radhika should have held her horses and waited for the waters to clarify a little before making her decision. When the call came for the RPtein to light the diya, she should have done it, after all she is the wife of Dev and possibly the future RPtein. Before making her final decision, she should have spoken to Dev ALONE without anyone else present, just the two of them and both must come to an understanding, agreed it may remain a deadlock for a time but eventually one of them will see the other's point of view and perhaps accede to it. But she should have discussed it with Dev and not made a unilateral decision on her own.
society is not as evil as zeeland likes to portray...with the right explanations you may be pleasantly surprised by society's reaction. Try it Radhika... don't spoil Bharka's future just to ensure DDJ is not embarrassed in the eyes of soceity - actualy he has already embarrased himself ...
I have amended what I have written earlier but now i feel that perhaps i should just shut up and see what happens and not comment any more.
