i just started watching the show. could you give me a quick update and a character sketch possibly? š thaanks!
Chhoona Hai Aasmaan is the story of Sameera, a small town girl who is craving a niche for herself in the Indian Air Force. She is brought up by a strong willed single mother and ever since she can remember, she has always wanted to be a brave warrior in the Indian Air force, just like her father. And at his grave she has vowed that she will bring glory to his name.
Her tryst with destiny brings her in contact with Arya Veer Pratap, one of the ablest commanders of the Indian Air Force. As the story progresses further, Sameera realises that she shares a deeper connection with Arya Veer, who has been the perfect father that she has always dreamt of.
Chhoona Hai Aasmaan is also the story of Abhimanyu Adhikari, who lives to fight for the nation and for whom fighting for his nation is his greatest pride.
Set against the backdrop of the IAF, Chhoona Hai Aasmaan is the love story of Abhimanyu and Sameera. Their's is a love story, which is threatened by many, but often the conflicts arise within them. Sometimes they have to choose between their love for each other and their love for the country.

Abhimanyu Adhikari (Iqbal Khan)
Age: 27
Flight Lieutenant Abhimanyu Adhikari, with expertise in ground attack combat-aircraft, Sukhoi30, has the special distinction of also been trained with the elite Para Commandos of the Indian Army. He is, thus, is also an expert in guerrilla warfare par excellence.
He is a man of few words and says one-liners, which has shades of subtle humor. He has lazy confidence in his stature. He comes across as a laid back person who will only act when it is the last moment, till then he waits for others to control the situation. However, when he does move, he solves the problem. As he is a man of few words, he finds it difficult to express his feelings. Although he is an intense person, he has a dry sense of humor. He doesn't care what the world thinks of him, as long as he knows what he is doing and the people he loves and respect, understand him. A natural leader, he leads by example. He doesn't have any time for love and it's a waste of time for him. Yet he is endearing, as he is the unattainable guy whom everyone wants.
Sameera (Jahnvi Chheda)
Weapon Systems Officer, Sameera Singh, is an efficient navigator and gets inducted into the special team called HAWKS due to her exceptional skills and bravery.
Age: 25
She is the first Indian female to fly a Sukhoi 30. She has a subtle underplayed beauty to her. Her attitude is the no fuss and no nonsense type, but without being dull and depressing. She is always ready to take on new challenges and does not hesitate to get into tough situations to prove her point. She works more on instinct than on calculated thought.
She is the typical girl next door with simple values. She has a loving family with a beeji, mother, her munna bola mamu, rahim mamu and her brother Jugal. She loves her family and will do anything for them. A close knit family, where all are very much in love with each other.
She has never seen her father, but from the time she was a child her mother has told her that the biggest dream her father had was that of his daughter being a fighter pilot as he was a great fighter pilot himself. (Later it is revealed that Veer, her commander, is her father, but now they think that he is dead) She is loyal and believes in being friends forever. She will not ditch anyone in times of need and may also go out of her way to help.
Farhaan (Manish)
Age: 26
Flight Lieutenant Farhaan Khan, is a man with exceptional algorithmic and syntactical skills. He is a computer hacker, nonparallel. Farhaan is simple and gullible in matters not related to computers, he is usually the butt of all jokes and always gets into situations that provoke laughter. Although he has good intentions, things end up blowing up in his face. His IQ is good, but he has a low EQ.
Life to him is a computer program that he is always trying to decipher. He loves watching cartoons and spends his time building up a huge comic collection. So is the wannabe types who hangs out with Samrat and the gang to look cool and be a part of the team. He tries to do cool stuff like race his car fast but he doesn't realise that he is a champion racer on the computer, not in real life. He is the best when it comes to the virtual world, but in real life he would get foxed while dealing with everyday issues like paying phone bills.
Tanvi Sharma (Vaani Sharma)
Age: 24
Flight Lieutenant Tanvi Sharma, from the Maintenance Command of the IAF, is an aviation engineer. She is basically a grease monkey, as she spends a large chunk of her time in the workshop and has a much messed up look. But when she gets ready for a party, she is gorgeous (which is very rare). Tanvi is intelligent and the girl next door, who believes in being there for everyone. Though brilliant at mechanics, she is a little gullible in worldly affairs. She is the first to volunteer when there is any mechanical work to be done.
Samarat (Vivaan Bhatena)
Age: 25
Flight Lieutenant Samrat Singh Shekhawat, belongs to the Indian Air Force Missile Ops/Officer 101. He is an expert in the technicalities of war explosives of a wide range. He is a charmer, has the gift of the gab along with tones of attitude. He is fun loving and easy going. He lives life as if there is no tomorrow. A spoilt rich brat, he believes in living in the moment. Women get drawn towards him and he towards women easily. Music is his life and he is always listening or humming a song, even when he is working. Although he takes life easy, he is fiercely competitive. He has joined the IAF for its glamorous life style, but is dedicated to his work.
Isha Oberoi (Aparna Kumar)
Age: 25
Flight Lieutenant Isha Oberoi, inducted from military intelligence, comes from the IAF Training Command at Bangalore. One of the very few officers to serve with the RAW, she has gained specialization in tactical and war intelligence.
She is hot, sexy and drop dead gorgeous, but with loads of attitude. Life according to her is all a game of sexual politics and more often than not she wins. She has grown up with the ideology that if you have a brain and beauty you can rule the world. She is very efficient at interpreting body language. She is confident, bordering on arrogance. She has no ethics and will leave no stones unturned to getting what she wants, be it personal or professional. She is a charmer and a snob. Her character has shades of grey.
Arya Veer Pratap (Narendra Jha)
Age: 47
Even at 47, he looks young and attractive. Having spent over 2 decades in the Air Force, he is still enthusiastic about new projects. He still has the same fire and passion. He is good at his work and is known to deliver results at the end of the day. Being a strict disciplinarian, he expects his team to have the same fire like him. He talks to the point and his briefings are always concise without being boring. He is still in love with Sapna, but not with his wife Sunaina. Although he tries his best to be a good father and husband, memories of Sapna prevent him from doing so. He is revered in the professional field but his personal life is not so great.
