Adita Wahi aka Shaheen of Choona Hai Aasmaan was the latest victim in the constant spate of thefts that take place on television sets nowadays. Recently, the actress' debit card was stolen on the sets of the show and the thief spent Rs 50,000 from her account. However, on Tuesday morning, the police nabbed the costume designer of the show, for the crime.

The theft took place on January 23 when Adita was shooting for Choona Hai Aasmaan at Sakinaka, Andheri. "I was shooting for the show and was unaware about my debit card being stolen. I realised it only when the bank sent me a message stating that I had made a purchase of Rs 50,000. I was shocked and could not believe it. That's when I discovered that my card was lost. The amount was spent before I could block my card," she said.

Adita lodged a complaint at the Sakinaka police station. After interrogating the unit members of the show, the police finally zeroed in on the costume designer. She was arrested on Tuesday morning. "The police has advised me not to reveal the name of the person arrested. No, I haven't recovered my money yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed and hope to get it back," said Adita.

Adita has become more careful after that incident. "I take more care of my belongings now and yes, I have almost lost trust in people. Even when I am shooting, I always keep an eye on my purse as I don't want this kind of incident to be repeated," she said.
