Prashant Bhatt, weekday programming head of entertainment channel Colors, said Rajasthan was the channel's lucky mascot. "A couple of or popular programmes, including Balika Vadhu have been shot in Rajasthan. This time, yet again, we wish to cash in on the good luck charm," Bhatt said.

Bhatt waws in Jaipur to promote the channel's upcoming show Rangrasiya. He was in the city along with the lead stars and the producers of the show. The show has been shot extensively across arid terrains and Rann of Jaisalmer and dune of Jodhpur.
About her role in the show, Sanaya Irani, the lead actress of the show, said, "Rangrasiya is an edgy love story ignited by intense hatred fuelled by circumstances, I play a simple village girl, Paro, in the serial. Ashish, my co-star, plays Rudra -a an army officer. For Rudra, love is need-based, beauty is deceit and work is duty. For Paro, love is hope, beauty is extreme and duty is vengeance."
Sharing her views on her shoots at Jaiselmer, Sanaya said, "Rajasthan is always a favorite destination for everyone. Though the weather was harsh on us and walking barefoot in the scorching desert have me blisters on my feet, I still loved every bit of the time spent here in the state. The excitement of being at such a beautiful and colorful place enabled me to move on." Sanaya also reminisced the dail-bait-choorna which she enjoyed at the hotel. "Though I loved what I ate, I so wanted to hit the nearby dhabbas to get the actual taste of the local food." she said.
About the violence displayed in tele-serials, Irani said, "TV shows and films only mirror what is already prevailing in the society. Therefore, it is wrong to blame the entertainment world for showing things in bad fashion, as that is the actual reality of the world that we live in. Moreover, people should understand that the programmes are all about fiction and anything that is shown in bad light, should be eradicate from the society, and not the programme."
Commenting on his role, Ashish Sharma, the male lead of the show and resident of Jaipur, said, "I cannot relate myself to the metrosexual men. I love playing a macho man. While portraying the character of Rudra, my keyword was intense. Everything I did, even in my day-to-day life incorporated that sentiment. Also I am a Rajasthani chhora; therefore playing a macho man wasn't all that difficult after all."
Rangrasiya's star cast also includes Sadiya Siddiqui, Tarun Khanna, Ananya Khare and Neha Narang. The show is directed by ace director Siddhar Sengupta of Balika Vadhua fame.

Evening everyone,

My my!! you guys are fast...thread is moving at the pace of an Concorde..left at page 12 and now its in its 100's

Getting back from work to see the thread give me unexpected surprises

Too too too many articles...a few amazing off-screen segments and one totally mind blowing sneak peak

HOLY MOLY!!!!...what did I just watch??...the sneak peak so does not look like a TV show, it's more like a good quality/high budget movie..the sneak peak threw me into a modernised historical phase with all the ruins, dune and moustaches

Mysterious..Mesmerising...Melodramatic...are just a few words of the sheer perfection in the sneak peak...words can't describe how magnificent everything looked...right from cinematography to direction to photography to background visuals was truly a visual feast!!

Not even the previous 3 promos compare to this, scrap them...the sneak peak is officially my favourite.. this was something unusual to be ever witnessed on TV..no promo must have ever been created like this

Sanaya and Ashish look too good...chemistry is spot on...move aside all other couples, this new couple will wipe you dry..well at least for me 😆

The underlying history shone right threw Paro's and Rudra's expression towards the end;

Were Paro and Rudra previous lovers that drifted apart due to family pressure/stance?
Did Rudra have an involvement in Paro's parents, maybe they were killed by someone of Rudra's own?
Did Paro deceive him by any chance? hence the rough exterior he conveys!
Did Rudra leave her as he didn't want commitment? maybe it's the reason she is getting married to someone else
Inflictions from society? humility, conniving landlord involvement, or evil family members?

What actually happened?

Too many questions...only time will give answers!!

How adorable do Sanaya and Ashish look in the off-screen segments...they sure do share a good camaraderie

What's with all the hullabaloo about Sanaya's statement on Bigg Boss...GEEZ!! it seems she has no right to state her opinion while the rest do, hypocrisy much?!...she said nothing wrong and yet people are hyping so much on just one petty little statement...bashers of Sanaya claim it was wrong blah blah blah and say that who is she and couldn't care two hoots about what she says...yet how irony that they are the first ones to create topics contradicting themselves and gimmick like immature little kids in their chat clubs...this makes me laugh so hard because these actions by them have insecurity written all over it

Cheers to all the news bearers x

Admist all this don't forget to convey your thanks to the Rangraisya crew through twitter, Facebook, Colors website etc...as many must have forgotten with the amount of segments and articles we got today

You summarized everything that happened in this whole crazy day in one post! Lovely...

They certainly share a past...
May be they were lovers but Paro was not in a position to wait for Rudra...
Or may be they were friends and Rudra was in love with her which he never expressed and when he came to express, paro was someone else's bride..
Or may be, Paro loved Rudra but Rudra never reciprocated and when he came back to reciprocate, Paro was not single anymore..

Or or or ... I know know, so may possibilities... whole day was spent speculating about their past.. and now the only option is to wait for the right time!

Anyways, the show is more than what I have expected. Sanaya and Ashish are awesome both onscreen and offscreen..

Looking forward to more happening days!
