Hi Sonya! 🤗 I've seen you around the forum before, I'm Vaish :).

It's a very apt song for ChhanChhan because the whole movie is about modernity and helping people through youth and emotion instead of hard-core book knowledge; ChhanChhan is unique because it is striving to portray an empathetic and modern Gujju girl who falls in love with a man AND has to change the traditional family's mindset! How? Not through the typical saas-bahu weeping, but through EMPATHY and compassion! No matter how much Uma Behen tortures CC, she responds with love and not hate. Empathy, not traditional saas-bahu 😳 And this is why I do not regret a bit that Sanaya chose this show! It is different. And the song just showed the makers did not simply create the title and her name casually, they created it based on the message the show gives! The title was created with a purpose!

India needs these kinds of shows. And for people who say CC is not modern, please. She stands up for everyone, she is doing the same thing that the message is for, changing people not through conflict but through compassion and teaching them about modernity.

Oh yes ChanChan is certainly modern. Not just modern but sensible too. Bringing a change to mindsets is perhaps the most difficult form of transformation and just explicitly violating traditionally grounded rules won't do the job for you. I'm content with ChanChan's approach.

And sure the title was well thought of. Otherwise, why change something they had finalized for no reason..

Yes, CC is modern but given India's traditional families, this is the approach the CVs are showing! They are not unrealistic, they are showing how a modern girl is changing a orthodox Gujurati family ... By working with them, not completely radicalizing! Given India's current mindset, this is the most logical and realistic approach! CC is modern and REALISTIC.

And with all the unrealism you see on TV, Sanz is brilliant to choose a show that is realistic, and gives a social message at it's heart.

With Mukut and Kaumathy's track, and her conflicts with Uma Behen, I can see that this show is striking a chord at the social problems present! And I love it <3

Never got to catch that SBS segment. And yeah MB was an epic movie. Loved it to the core. It had comedy, love story, social message, and good actors.
