1 year run for a show is good I'm quit happy with this news I wish it goes on for a few more months if the TRP picks up soon. The show is a great watch I know my dad who doesn't watch any Indian drama but he's enjoying CC alot my Mom likes the show. I think these Indian TRP viewers love OTT drama explains why TRP is so low. Atleast we have time till the new system comes in and pray the new system does CC wonder and the show continued to rock even if it goes on for 1 year no problem at all that's a decent run.

Sony is any day better than SP and Zee...atleast we don't have to bear torturous saas bahu shows...Even during Ekta era in the beginning of this millennium, all her shows in SP were typical melodramatic shows but in Sony we got Kutumb (very entertaining despite being a Ekta soap)...similarly Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin...one of my favorite show..Sony shows are usually based on very contemporary subjects...for example, the new show..Jee je zaraa (at least from the promo, it seems that it is a story of today's girl who is focused on her work and financially independent)...

Coming to Chhanchhan, though in this forum we have mixed reviews, but for me this is a very interesting show to watch..a very good stress buster after a long hectic day in office...though initially due to the male lead, I was also at the verge of quitting the show but after his replacement, the show is blessed with a new life...Sanuj pairing is any day better than any other current jodis and their chemistry is so appealing from the very first episode...No wonder why Sanaya is enjoying working in CC - after all she is working with a good PH and wonderful co-stars!!!!!!!

Hope the show will do better in the coming months and if good TRP is the only reason for survival, hope the show will achieve rocketing figures...

Added to it Optimystix is an old favorite of the channel and have worked together on many shows, so that could be another reason the channel decided to give them another chance. Sanaya's popularity, Supriya Pathak' s calibre (she did win an award at Gold Awards), and favourable response to Sanuj ( even they were nominated for Jodi) all could have counted.

The show has improved and if the tracks are not rushed anymore it has the potential to become even more interesting. Positive feedback might have helped and I think we should continue doing it.

Very happy the show got extension and hope creatives buck up and give amazing tracks and fully utilize the good star cast they have.

On a serious note though I had been wondering if the trps were going adversely affect advertising revenue and thus the show which considering the cast must cost a fair amount to make (I find the figures given in the TOI article about Sanaya's salary hard to believe considering that at the time she signed the show she was the most in demand actress on TV). Your model tho makes sense and I hope it applies. Here in the UK all shows seem to get the same lack lustre advertising so we don't see that side of things.

Fingers crossed that this news is true and that the cvs really get a chance to prove that Sony and Sanaya were right to have so much faith in it. Apart form anything else I feel Sony owed it to the PH and Team CC to give them a chance because of the terrible rushed start they made them take.
