Because a part of him still trusts her

Sonali herself said that her fiance's name is Manav Nagar, his mom has time and again bent long lasting family traditions to help Chhanchhan settle down in a new environment .. the evidence is all against Chhanchhan's claim and YET, a part of him still believes her, it wants to believe her.. which is why he asks UB, do you like Chhanchhan? Are you happy with her?

Ofcourse .. she wasn't going to say the truth (duh!) .. but it was good to see Manav asking UB that .. for once a TV husband plays the role of a real husband and doesn't blindly trust his mom over his wife. Ahhh the perks of Chhanchhan (the show) .. so many firsts in the television world!

P.S. So we were right .. UB pretty much told Sonali to lie. I really don't get how Sonali is so ready to get married to Manav though .. I hope they show us more of her reasons to be so ready to get married to an already married man!

Yeah, poor Manav. being pulled in two directions and does not know what to do. He loves his mom, she has always done things for his best all his life. He loves Chhan Chhan and there is no reason for her to lie, but mommy dearest planted a seed of doubt in his mind (she doesn't look upon me as her mom and doesn't like me.) So what's a guy to do?

Thakkarbhai ... I think he's doing all this because Umaben chose Sonali as her bahu ... and he knows enough about her vindictiveness to know that she will make life difficult for Sonali and for him, if he refuses the rishta. He said something of the sort in one of the earliest episodes when he said Umaben can destroy his daughter's life.

Sonali is cray. I love how she's so ready to break a marriage. -_-

Finally the PH is living up to the promise they gave her when they promised her this show..thank god!

I heard him question UB and I went 'awww' .. i'm not even kidding 😆 Because the thing here isn't between his wife and some random person, it's between his wife and his MOTHER .. the 2 most imp women in his life! Maybe it's coz we're used to seeing the love being unnecessarily blamed .. so this was a pleasant surprise!

And you know .. even if CC and UB are on "friendly" terms .. Manav is not going to be able to cool down when the truth comes out .. because his mother lied to him again and again .. he's going to be so hurt!

Agreed! I am loving the show .. I can see why Sanaya chose it .. Finally!

Sonali? I have no clue what she's up to. Looks like she does not have any self respect, right now. It's mind boggling to think, that UB and Sonali and Thakkar actually think that they will succeed in their plan to have Manav oust Chhan Chhan from the house. In fact, if we allow ourselves the luxury to think he might, then how would they explain the entire situation to Manav at the end. Sonali already lied to him in the first meeting...

I don't know anyone in real life who would just sit back and cry and let others control their lives. Although I have been told it happens in India. But it's refreshing to see that Chhan Chhan is not the same old run of the mill Indian type of show. Here's something that is realistic and pleasant to watch. Made even more enjoyable because of the eye candy (Sanaya and Anuj!)

@bold - that is SO true! Even if UB manages to break up ChhanMan .. how will she explain this situation? And when Manav comes to know that Chhanchhan had be right all along .. wouldn't he apologise, and get her back .. try to atleast?

I think UB is so consumed by her hatred for CC and her need to get CC out of Manav's life that she isn't thinking abt the end .. as long as she can break them up .. she doesn't care! Or maybe she thinks that Manav will be so broken/angry that he'll agree to get married to Sonali?!

Sonali ... I am going to wait and see which way she goes ... is she really ready to wait for Manav to divorce and then marry him?

And I totally love Chhanchhan ... she's not backing down an inch, she has her suspicions and she has reason for them ... and now she is noticing each subtle step of Umaben's ... UB gave her an alarm clock which doesn't work ... this is going to be a great battle of wits ...

So maybe Sonali agreed to marry Manav because of UB and Thakkarbhai .. but that doesn't explain how she seems so cool with breaking up Manav's first marriage .. especially when she just came to know that he's married .. to someone she calls a friend that too! I didn't see any amount of guilt on her face .. not when UB told her to lie, not when she lied to CC/Manav abt her fiance's name and that's what shocks me!

I loved CC too .. she is going to give as good as she gets .. in her own ways!

I didn't realize it until you wrote abt the alarm clock but yet again Manav stands by her, helping her out of the situation ... even when he's upset/angry/disappointed with her .. he'll still be there for her.
