I was MIA for 1 month from this forum ..
So missed the bit Sanaya said about FK :|

But I do agree that celebs don't need defending from fans , but fans love to do it on their behalf ..

Also agree ChhanChhan is a very cliched show with very shoddy execution in every aspect sans FK's horrible excuse of so called acting ..

Whatever mudslinging game was entertaining LOL ..

Since there are so many responses, I'll reply in general.

1) FK was not the only thing bad about CC. It's a mess of bad screenplay, direction and general story line.

2)SI and FK were engaging in a mele and SI wasn't an innocent bystander

3)This is my opinion and an inference I made from my observation. You can take it, debate it or or leave it.

Though i am not his fan and feel that he is self obsessed , i agree that he is not the sole reason for the low TRPs.

This show is always shipped as a 'Sanaya Irani' show. Had the show been a hit, Sanaya would have walked away with all the laurels. Now that it failed to garner TRPs everybody is blaming Farhan. He is right when he said ' I was not the protagonist in the show. The main protagonist was Chhanchhan, played by Sanaya Irani. When a star of her caliber failed to garner TRPs, why put the blame on me?'. You said it right, this show has many flaws - Content, execution, poor acting of the ML (Farhan) etc.

What irked me is his attitude. Lets assume that sanaya isn't friendly and a tantrum queen. How does that affect his performance? Wasn't sanaya performing well in the 'unfriendly' environment?
Why blame her chemistry with her previous costar when he himself couldn't come up with a satisfactory performance? 😕 He went and announced that he rejected some 30-40 shows including Ekta's. He took pot shots at Ekta. He himself projected himself as an experienced and talented actor. Now won't people expect some decent acting from him?People would have accepted him if he had performed well. Now that he failed, he is coming up with excuses. It is easy to blame others than to accept ones mistake.The fact is he can't act and he is replaced for that.
It is better he introspects instead of coming up with statements like ' My mom said I am handsome and moms don't lie.'

Regarding his equation with SI, it is pretty clear from the beginning they are not comfortable with each other. Agree, no one is innocent. Neither SI nor FK. Now that sanaya has replied in her own way, lets see where this goes. It is infact interesting than the show.😆

Hey RC,

I don't watch CC either but used to follow the forum on an doff. From the few epis I have seen the concept doesn't appeal to me . Putting aside the direction the Male Lead is ONE of the biggest problems for low TRP's. Most of the fans here DID NOT blame FK alone for low TRP's. They did say well atleast the sensible ones that execution was also a major defect. But now the replacement has been done the PH has one lesser problem to deal with don't you think?. I think all the defending posts that you saw in past of couple of days were solely because of FK's interview.

And did you know MB's TRp's were very very low when it started so low that the makers thought of scrapping the show. It picked up and although the trp's fell it is still the slot leader and very very popular. CC may appeal to some audience. I wouldn't write it off just yet.

I'm not an FK fan, I don't even watch CC. Because it's a bad show with a bad concept. People are saying that FK was the reason why CC got low TRPs. No it got low TRPs because it's very poorly scripted and executed. The flair I saw in Sanaya is of complete waste in this over the top, highly melodramatic show.

It could be true that Sanaya may not have liked FK for her own reason (justified or otherwise) and it could be true that FK could not perform because of that.

We don't know. God knows the guy probably received a million hate mails because he couldn't be a certain overrated actor who will not be named.

It's highly amusing to read posts which place the entire blame of CC' s failure on FK, while the truth is just that it's a bad show.

I couldn't have put it any better myself. I am not an IPKND fan nor am I a SarUn ArShi whatever they call them .. fan .. but I didn't really like FK as an actor. And SI is only a bit better. But that doesn't mean I think FK is a complete loser and he "should jump of a cliff" like 'some people' want him to. Farhan is an AMAZING model, I have seen his photoshoots. Zaroori nahin hai ke sabko acting achi ani chaiye . Har bande ka apna eik special talent hota hai. Acting wasn't it for Farhan, but he IS good at what he does ! Now that Anuj Sachdeva is here I might start watching because he is a good actor and him and Sanaya seemed to have hit it off from day 1. It'd be nice to see how the offscreen chemistry and rapport is translated onscreen.

There are many reasons for this show to not have done well. While FK is one of the reasons, he isn't the only one and nor is he the biggest prob. The concept is ok ok ... nothing khaas and the execution only sub-par. ChanChan's mother in law is a pivotal character but the lady who plays her doesn't have that fire. I don't like Sanaya's costumes in the show either. Plus like you said , its overrated and melodramatic but fails to leave any real impression. While Sanaya had ZERO chemistry with FK, her chemistry with Anuj is SWELL. One SBS segment of the two of them and I am like OK , Ive GOT to check these two out. So mebbe Anuj-Sanaya's new friendship and chem can salvage the sinking ship. Also a new Mother in law could be remedial.

FK is just a sour looser...with zero talent. I have stopped watching CC too but visit IF CC forum once in a while...wish sanaya quits the show and does something better...hate to see such talent getting wasted. Way too much melodrama with CC

^^lol only a bit better?..really? Of course you dont have to find her as good as her fans do but she surely deserves more than being called an actress who is just a 'bit better' than someone like FK!
Also he was an actor while he played manav...so no he is not good at what he does or rather was doing.But now that he has left the show and is no longer an 'actor' its all good.

@TM - who has solely blamed FK for the low trps? People understand that many factors are responsible for the lukewarm response.But at the same time it can not be denied that farhan was a major reason behind strong SI fans not being able to tolerate even one episode of the show..there are comments like 'thank God anuj entered the show, we can finally watch it' by many sanaya/ipkknd fans.
While I am not exactly a fan of the show I still dont agree when you say that the TRUTH is CC is just a bad show.Its subjective, no? From where does truth come in between?I have started watching it properly since anuj entered and I really enjoy the family scenes

I'm joining this debate rather late and haven't had a chance to read through many posts so apologies if I'm just repeating what others have said.

The majority of Sanaya/'Sarun' fans who decided to watch CC did support FK, we actively defended him in post after post asking people to give him a chance becasue we wanted him and the show to succeed. Like yourself a lot of people stopped watching or coming to the forum either because they didn't like the show or they didn't like FK The ones who stayed tolerated him because not watching Sanaya is worse than having to watch FK and we just griped when major scenes were totally ruined. It makes me sad as a Sanaya fan that one of her shows is responsible for probably the worst ever love confession in Indian TV history. Some people did blame him for the low trp's but most of us realised that the production value of the show wasn't the best and the PH needs to overhaul the show if they want it to work, but yes FK's lack of ability was felt to be a contributing factor. Unlike FK I don't think good looks (debatable) and a good physique compensate for no acting skills. In fact before the replacement even happened there was talk on the forum of how the episodes were crisper and the background score much more appropriate and that's when someone pointed out that the director had been changed. People gave FK a chance and he failed to deliver. Most of the people who actually stayed on the forum the whole time tried to support FK but at various points lost patience with him because of his actually terrible acting even after improvements and not because we were nostalgic for another actor. Not every Sanaya fan is a fan of that actor. If I generalise then most people wanted a replacement not because they thought that trp's would miraculously improve overnight but because we just couldn't bear to watch FK. anymore.

Whether or not FK is being honest or not is besides the point. He 'quit' because Sanaya wouldn't talk to hm?? How old is he...maybe he should have had his mommy talk to her mommy!!!!! He couldn't handle being compared to other actors and could handle audience expectations...then perhaps he's in the wrong field. An actor blaming fans for his own lack of ability speaks volumes about FK's morals.

We base our views of people on what we have seen of them. FK claimed to be an actor (still haven't figured out the 2 films and theatre experience...is it possible to get films based on contacts the way it is to get TV shows?) that to me was a lie.

Sanaya Irani may be blunt but I haven't caught her out in any lie so yeah my instict is to trust her. I too am a Sanaya fan and perhaps you would class me as a blind fan. Yeah I think she has the look of an angel when she wants toand at that time she does look as though innocence drips from her face but we've all seen the tigress too,so no Sanaya fan would class her as 'innocent', besides is anyone really innocent in this day and age.

Forgot to say - the reason the majprity supported Anuj is because in 5 minutes of screen time he showed more emotions and acting prowess than FK did in 2 months. Honestly it was just a relief to see someone who had facial muscles that moved and could deliver dialogues effectively.

Farhan was blamed for low trps but for ur kind information, he was not the only person to be blamed. Like u said, the story, the direction,everything was blamed. Everybody got equally blamed for the low trps
Secondly,the reason people are bashing farhan now is because of the way he handled this replacement issue.OK fine,after boasting a lot about himself about how he rejected ekta's offers, it will be difficult for him to confess the truth that he was thrown out of the show. Fine,he lied that he was not happy so he quit the show. Couldn't he keep his mouth shut after that? Why did he make such statements about sanaya that she was not friendly with him and blah blah blah? What's that got to do with his performance? After reading his interview, I felt like he was more interested in sanaya than his work.Maybe he was trying to pataofy sanaya but she didn't give him any bhaav so he was showing his anger and disappointment.
I feel he totally deserves all these bashing even though some members are going overboard by calling him 'pervert' and what not.He still has not learnt any lesson from all these.He is not realising he is maarofying kulhadi on his own pair by giving such statements. It won't make any difference to sanaya, that gal has nothing to lose but this guy is showing how immatured he is.

OK, just made it throught the entire 15 pages and just wanted to add my tuppence worth on other issues.

Sanaya was asked what she would want in an co actor if Farhan was replaced. She said that IF he was replaced all she wanted was a good actor and that looks and physique didn't really matter and this is what she told the PH when they wanted to know her preference when she was signed. The thing is that she said the exact same thing in promotional interviews 2 months earlier with Raj Baddhan (and I think Noreen Khan) before Fk was even a twinkle in the PH's eye. If FK thought she was talking about him specifically then oh well, guess it's a case of the shoe fitting. She wasn't asked if FK should be replaced or what she thought of his acting. So basically she's being slammed for sticking to her guns about what she's looking for in a co star.

I saw nothing wrong in what she said today about FK and tareef. We all know Sanaya speaks her mind and most of us have admired her for it in the past and I actually thought it was quite a restrained response in the face of what FK said.

Someone also suggested that Sanaya's coolness towards FK turned her fans against him. Perhaps for some it may have been the factor which freed them from continuing to support him just because Sanaya had asked us to give him a chance. I'm pretty sure I speak for the majority of Sanaya fans who have stuck with CC when I say that we were put off FK by FK himself and it had nothing to do with Sanaya, in fact many had given up on him long before that interview and were only tolerating him because they still wanted to see Sanaya in CC.

Seeing as the term fan comes from the word fanatic I think it's only fair to expect fans to act zealously...perhaps the calmer ones should be reclassed as admirers or something like that 😊.I've always agreed that these celebrities are grown people and don't need protecting and in fact my view is that my favorite show ended in a fiasco because some fans were hell bent on protecting a grown person.

Here the scenario is a little different because it's not a fangroup but a colleague who is attacking and not only is he attacking Sanaya but also the very people who were supporting him in the first place.
