He is not the only reason but definitely a major reason for the shows downfall. He can't match up to Sanaya let alone his pathetic acting skills. Sanaya deserves a better co star

I think it will help ... not as in bringing in overnight TRPs, but as in addressing one of the problems in the show, and that too a major one.

There were multiple problems with the male lead, poor chemistry was one, poor basic acting skills was another ... and the fact that he was taking a lot of time over his scenes with all the other actors was a third, which we heard about from other cast members. By replacing him, at least the second and third problems can be addressed ... and much of the first. Chemistry is a two way street, so if both actors are good, it is obviously easier to build up the chemistry than if only one actor is doing all the acting. Also, Manav is an important character, he can't be sidelined, so his lack of acting skills does bring down the execution of the show, unlike other saas bahu shows where the male lead has nothing much to do.

Also it did seem that FK did not get along with many of the cast ... and that is not good for the working atmosphere, when the cast spends 12 hours a day together. If the new guy is better in that aspect, that's another problem taken care of.

So by replacing the guy, quite a few problems are addressed ...

Of course, screenplay, script, bg music, and basic story all are also issues. I feel the script has been tightened over the last two weeks, so obviously the makers ARE looking at all the problems ... and the main story starts only after marriage anyway. All these contribute to the success of a show, but if the actors manage to establish a connect to the audience, then that's an important aspect taken care of.
