You had truly pointed out the reasons for chanchan's unpopularity at this stage.

No doubt Sanaya is a natural actress and so is Supriya Pathak, same with the entire casting.

But one thing is for sure, despite of the same story line as in other daily soaps, Lead chemistry is an important factor which is lacking in Chanchan. The chemistry is an USP of any daily soap u see. Audience don't remember stars but we remember characters. I still think of Khusi Kumari and ASR and i liked their onscreen presence.

I think creatives need to focus on the chemistry and then a story based on that.

Hi totally agree with u on the chemistry. I like to watch dramas with intense romance and passion. I am a big mills and boon fan and want chemistry between male and female leads, not between female lead and pets or with mother in law or sister in law. Even in a saas bahu show, chemistry and romance are still very important. Just picture this scene, when umaben screams at chanchan and tries to slap her, manav steps forth and grabs his mum's hand, glares at her and carries his crying wife to the room and cheers her up by running a bubble bath for her in a candlelit room. So romantic and so much scope to explore the delicious chemistry! Sigh... Problem is Sanaya doesn't want to do this kind of scene, dunno if she explicitly stated to ph not to include in the script or not. If fans want to watch chemistry, but Sanaya doesn't want to do it, then it's a no win situation.

Actually a long running soap can cover many areas. It can be both a love story and a saas bahu saga. It doesn't have to be either or. One successful show that comes to mind is Yahan mein ghar ghar Keli. It has many confrontations, love and respect between daughter in law( played by suhasi dhami) and her in laws as well as sizzling love story between her and her husband. By incoporating these elements, the show ran almost for 3 years, likewise for Pavitra Rishta. Chanchan Cvs should amend the concept of this show to incorporate a sizzling love story and then only can they hope to get a Grade A actor on board. Nobody wants to watch a do-gooder woman battle her mil everyday. This is the only way to save cc from sinking further.

truly speaking there is no X factor in the show which can drag the audience.people like the shows which is different n with fresh concepts or if u have same story then they will see the treatment how they r shaping it n if they like it then will continue to watch or else they will use remote .same thing is happening here. bad direction , horrible back ground music they r making it bw medley ,poor execution , boring story no freshness in it every thing is making worse.

only changing male lead does not work here they need to execute story well.there r many shows where both leads cant act but they r getting good trps here story is not getting in chord with audience. many people here r watching for sanaya but how many days they will watch with this boring story?and this is not love story after marriage ml does not have big scope then why people r making big fuss about this issue iam not getting. iam not fk fan but even if they cast big actors like ramkapoor or ronit roy also show will not garner any trps with this story. ph should work on the story n execution first rather than blaming actor.if story is good audience will ignore bad acting too.

iam a huge sanaya fan but today iam little disappointed with her interview. i love her frankness and honesty but atleast she should give him a bit respect as a coactor.i know she is frustrated but he does not deserve that rudeness on camera.i know people here bash me for saying this but they should respect others opinion too.since every one has their own point of view.
