The episode starts with chanchan's mother explaining to her husband that they should trust Chanchan and their upbringing of her. That they know chanchan is mature enough to make the wise choice. While on the other side chanchan and her dadi are also talking about the whole situation. Dadi tells her story of Kartik to make chanchan understand that Manav is stuck between the two views of modern and tradition. Chanchan who is still not convinced tells her dadi that since Manav loves his mother a lot its hard to say what he is thinking.
Later on Manav and chanchan keep on thinking about their situation...On one side Manav cant' stop replaying when Dadi had told him to choose between his mother and chanchan while Chanchan on the other side can;t stop thinking about Umaben's ultimatum that she will never allow chanchan as her DIL.
Manav comes to a sleeping Umaben to put a note next to her bed when he starts talking to her; telling her how he is disappointed in her for showing such hatred. And that is why he has chosen love over hatred and has decided to leave the house so that he can start a new life with chanchan. Umaben who is pretending to be sleeping hears everything Manav said making her heart sink and in disbelief after being caught in her lies.
Here at chanchan's house everyone's sleep is miles away after chanchan isn't in the house. They try to call her but find her phone in her room. Elsewhere, we see Manav is about to leave his house when Umaben comes with the note and pleads to Manav to not leave the house. Umaben continues to say ill things about chanchan hurting manav in future but manav tells her how umaben has already broken the trust from where there is no coming back. He eventually ends up leaving the house breaking Umaben's heart.
Precap: Manav proposes marriage to Chanchan but she rejects him.
