Would rather avoid a pitfall like that again ) There will be situations, clash of ideas and how ChhanChhan and Uma ben will react or handle them and each other, will be the principal focus. Vipul Shah said it is a SIMPLE story told in a lighthearted manner. Now, I agree the screenplay and script has to be tighter and there is a lot that can improve. I am also watching it for Sanaya and Supriya P, and thank God, at least the principal actors chosen are competant.
Like Sanaya said in her interview, this serial is about what happens with ChhanChhan as she goes from point A to point B in her life and how she deals with situations, without compromising her principles. Slice- of -life kind of thing, and I agree with her, the key to success of this kind of show is if people fall in love with the character of ChhanChhan.
This is not going to be addictive or lead to repeat viewing(no magical chemistry) but for me, it leaves me with a smile. Dogs are adorable.
For Sanaya, I hope if nothing else, it will help her step a little away from the shadow of her previous show. I do hope though, they give more shades and depth to all characters, especially ChhanChhan and Uma Ben, only then we will be invested in knowing what happens to them.

Thank you for reading my take...I am actually a silent reader of this thread, and enjoy some of the comments here.

Well said and I agree with all that you have said including that the script needs to be tighter and in my opinion the direction too. The only place I disagree a little is in the ChanMan chemistry. I'm not impressed with FK (though yeah I do see some improvements and have to give the guy his dues for working hard) but I actually do like the chemistry between FK and SI and I think that even though this is not a love story (thank God) the cv's should forcus on this aspect a little more...I won't say the chemistry is magical but there is a spark which if handled correctly could give us a little fire.
Overall though this show is like most other show's, there's no real story that is going to be revealed nor is there an attempt to bring forth a novel idea. My view is that it is a refreshing and slightly more real take on most shows out there these days. I till fail to understand why people are looking for novel and unique on Indian TV...it just doesn't happen that often and even the concept of Sanz's last show what neither novel nor unique.

They need good director and script first of all.

Please vote for Sanaya Irani on ITA FB page polls.

Hello Jaya100, I agree about the direction, this is supposed be an experienced production house, I hope at least technically they pull up their socks. For me it just reiterates the fact that the whole project was started in bit of a haste and taking time to settle down.
FK is working hard, no doubt, there is some charm in his and SI scenes, but his dialogue delivery leaves much to be desired. Sometimes I can't figure out if he is mocking UB or actually praising her to get his way.
For show's sake I hope they iron out these problems before IPL ends. I want this to be a success for Sanaya, she is giving it her 100%.
BTW, Jaya100, I always enjoy your posts and make sure to read them.

I don't know who is stacking the cards but it ain't right. There was a particular finesse that was clear in today's episode that was shattered at some point. I couldn't tell which production dynamic; music, acting, editing; was pivotal in my opinion but it all collided. We are in the all-star series. The game needs to be stepped up. what is Varun Kapoor doing btw?

I felt the episode had a certain finesse , a certain flow today . Humour was subtle and scenes were nicely interwoven with a lot of characters visible. Farhan remains the weakest link, today was easier on the eye as had easier scenes to do. I enjoyed the episode today ... Felt it was closer to what the makers had promised.

I really liked today's episode- I feel like they're finally getting it right. But Farhaan needs to improve. That's not to take away from the improvement he's already made, but there has to be more. He''s going to share a lot of screen time with Supriya and Sanaya- they're both brilliant, exceptionally good at emoting. He has to step up his game. And s much as I loved Dil To Pagal Hai, please stop with the are rey are already. I liked today's tune , it was light and dreamy, and romantic. Special mention to the last scene today- Sanaya and Purvi(don't know her real name) really pulled it off so well. Esp my doll - she was fabulous :)

Aww thanks😳
After this last week I've lost patience and I think the director and FK are both to blame. I don't think when the PH signed Sanaya they realised that they were taking on an audience that has had a taste of the very best technicians that TVland has to offer and even people like me with no technical knowledge whatsoever will dissect each and every scene. We expect more from a show with Sanaya Irani and Supriya Pathak and not one single actor or technician can afford to not be up to the mark. FK is totally out of his league here whether it's dialogue delivery, facial expressions or body language. I think he's concentrating so much on not blinking that he ends up staring expressionlessly. I was trying to be patient and giving him a chance to improve but after Sanaya's TS interview it seems she's not too impressed by him either so I figure I'm entitled to be disgruntled. I don't really understand the technicalities of show biz but the direction too seems to be off in important scenes and I hated the forced romance in the restaurant scene. I'm just waiting for IPL to be over and the CC-UB story to start and hope that aspect will make this show a success worthy of the two leading ladies.
