- The background was not at all in sync with the mood of the show.

- I absolutely hated the 'return of the handwa'

I think I "watch" the show with one eye, and my brain shut.. How else can I explain missing the handwa 😕

- The male lead and the sidekick are not working for me. But yesterday since they were there only for 2 mins, I could jhelofy them. So going forward hopefully the screen time for them would be less and I can tolerate them through out the show till the end.

Sidekick has already fallen for simple... Thus opening avenues for the leads to meet, and fall in lau. I think his purpose may be served

- And the most important turn off was there were no strong dialogues for the Dad and the bride. Makers you are taking an stand against an evil practice here - then show the one who is going to do it as strong. Rather if you show them crying and being hapless then it exactly doesn't show that they are happy doing it and your message would be watered down. Had they shown one dialogue of Purvi or her Dad saying - 'I want to marry/my daughter to marry/ someone who trusts her and who would cherish her and I am confident that such a person will come and I have no regrets taking this decision', I would have applauded the makers for this statement. But the whole thing was Chanchan fighting the case and Umaben opposing it with the father-daughter duo crying and being hapless. That is what I meant when I said that things like this ought to be shown correctly or they end up being preachy and the correct impact of it is lost.

👍🏼

Exactly Savvy my thoughts as the PH's previous serial went this way - You had the girl's family being shown and the way they were/are and the male lead's family shown ( they don't have a women in the house and hence the name Saas bina Sasural) and then you get them together and go the whole nine yards. IMO this was the way the PH should have gone here too. why the rush and why the hurry? Is it to combat IPL fever, then they should have waited till IPL is done and could have gotten the casting correct and gone in their own fashion. I feel the PH did 2 things wrong here - first is getting the casting done so soon and so early and going on air this quick with IPL in the background. There is far too much craze for IPL in the subcontinent and given that this serial falls in exact time brand for the high league matches - I am not sure this idea of going on air so soon was actually a good one.

OMG. Squeal, thud. On second thought - never mind. Us geriatrics shouldn't be indulging in these theatrics.

I'm actually relieved that Jingle all the Way doesn't have uncut potential. I can't handle a repeat, and much prefer the dekhna-hai-to-dekho approach 😉

You said it girl; while i would have liked it to be more engaging I don't think I want a repeat of the crazy addiction i had and still do to an extent.

Is you passion and addiction to ODB; the actor and character still going strong?

*giggle* its not thaaat bad. I would completely be okay with people making sassy posts on a particular movie, in fact I myself will make one! Its NOT a bet, just to be clear because I know I did something similar when I lost a very big bet once. *Ahem Tada*!!

Did Uncle-ji return the money? Or did he walk out with it - bilkul phree?

The only question I had running through my head as the episode came to an end. Thank You Lady J-J for voicing it.

OK not true. I had another one while I was watching the show.

Did the dad not know why his daughter was against dowry? - He did. He even said that.

Did he not know why the girls were against dowry? - He seemed to know the friend, what happened to her and why it happened.

He still went ahead with saying yes to the rishta, even gave the money. So why the sudden change of heart? A couple of 'I thought I was worth something but apparently I am dirt' dialogs and he did a volt face? Really? All the things about samaaj, rishta tootna on the day of the wedding, monh dikhaane laayak nahein rahenge were forgotten, just like that??

But to be honest I am happy about the fact that JingleJingle learnt from her past avatar, took the 'tum har kaam akele nahein kar sakti' lesson to heart, and let the bride make her own mind. To go around the fire or not to go. Phew! Thank You girl. I would be very worried otherwise.

The team seems to be in a hurry to get the main leads - YaYa sisterhood..err YaYaSaasBahuhood - mohobat/nafrat established. Hopefully once that is done we will have a story that makes more sense than it does currently.

A little over a year back, I figured the biggest satyanaash was me getting hooked to a desi soap. I soon learned there was a even bigger satyanaash waiting for me when the God ji of all things internet landed me on IF (I was going mad thinking I was seeing things I was not supposed to and went to God ji for answers). Since then it has been a series of satyaanshes, for someone who has no time in AD to not only watch a show every weekday but to read about what others say about it, day in day out.

Sanaya says that she does not believes in fans. I have come to realize neither do I, because I have learned that fans have to obsessive. I don't have time or the energy for that one. All I am looking for is a little entertainment. If the show entertain me, well and good. Else it is dekhna hai to dekho for me and honestly I could do with the time I save from not dekho. But this is Sanaya's show and I can only wish good things for her.

To the SGs - I am mostly a silent member of IF (do not want to add writing to the addiction that is IF) but today seemed like a good day to say my Hello Hi to the only thread I read here, what with all the drama today. I won't make the mistake that Ippy once made of trying to name all of you. You girls are amazing. Hope you had a happy Holi. 🤗
