It's mostly IPK fans trying to put the show down for there own selfish reason you have to be awhere of these people and don't let them ruined things for you! outsiders are saying better things about the show than them.

I think you are mistaken. People are expecting to see some good story, and good acting. And as viewers , we are selfish for substance and dnt care what was done before, so there is no comparison. When lot of good people come together , you expect sparks to fly so some people are calling a spade a spade and its just an opinion. The movie khoobsurat was also a very predictable story bt there so much fire in it and yes it was also nt a romantic story bt a family drama and yet we can watch it over and over again because people acted and not over acted.

I havent seen the first episode yet, because its not available on setindia youtube yet, but I always give a show two weeks before making any sort of judgement. After that if I dont like it, I stop watching, and if Im still interested I continue.

I don't think I've ever found every single apect of any show to be mindblowingly awesome straight away. My last favorite show the first two-three episodes were exceptional even though one of the actors in my opinion hadn't quite mastered the character in the beginning. After the first two episodes I found the show a little boring as they were establishing relationships. Then once it took off there was no holding it back. With CC I'm actually loving everything so far. Had Sanaya not been in the show I wouldn't have been watching it with as much interest as I am but I honestly think I would still have liked it enough to give it a chance. For those rushing to pass judgement all I'd say is give it a fair chance and don't presume anything. It seems obvious that the saas-bahu relationship is going to be a part of the dynamic but let's wait and see how it plays out. As for Farhan Khan I actually like him and i do think he has potential. He is new and hasn't had enough scenes for anyone to be able to write him off. I actually liked his interaction with Sanaya and think they do connect, the rest will depend on the script as to whether that turns into sizzling chemistry or sweet romance...The only characters who have had significant screen time are Dadi, CC and UmaBen and none of them have disappointed. It takes time for character development and interactions to gel together and 2 episodes is definitely not enough time for that to be apparent. We haven't even met the majority of the cast yet...that is the boys family so how on earth can anyone decide anything at this stage. I loved today's introduction of the dowry topic and hope it will be handled sensitively. As for sparks...there are definite unmissable sparks between Sanaya and Supriyaji and perhaps not a spark yet but a distinct glow between Sanaya and Farhan.

I thnk you have contradicted yourself in the post when you mention you may not have watched it with so much int if SI was not there but then you may have given a fair chance. The question here is what is there in the show other than SI?

I agree. People are too quick in passing judgement. If we analyse an episode, that's fine. But the entire show? Already some are labelling it as a disappointment, boring etc etc. Come on! We've only had 2 epis for God's sake!

In the back of their minds a lot of people (not all) are simply comparing to previous shows. That needs to stop. This is a new show and a new beginning for Sanaya Irani. And I'm hopeful that Farhan Khan will improve and grow as an actor. Let's not write it off after 2 epis because that's idiotic!

Not really, no contradiction at all. Obviously for me Sanaya is the main draw but I am actually enjoying the show too. I loved the opening sequence, I like the concept of the different type of family and their attitude. I like ChhanChhans character and her interactions with her friends. I like the whole concept of the story and characters being closer to real life than M&B or other fiction works. The saas-bahu drama has been done a million times but here I don't see the bahu doing the traditional mahan self sacrificing role. That I got from one small scene where ChhanChhan gets mad and turns away from UmaBen and it is her friend who has to remind her why they are there...most dramas the main would have been explaining to the friend. I'm loving the dogs and looking forward to seeing more of them. I'm interested to get to know Manav and his family and friends too. I'm liking the majority of the cast and love Supriya Pathak from before. I love the tag line 'dil ka kaha manti hain per dil jeetna janti hai' and I'm already intrigued to find out how she will win over the formidable Uma Ben.So had some other actress been in Sanaya's place I would have given the show a chance, definitely more than 2 days before deciding to continue or not.

Normally a show starts getting into the hearts of people after. 2/3 months. I started loving shows like IPK or Mariyada or BALH (my favourites) after quite a long time.. Initially I didn't liked any of them. But later IPK became my life..
The real story in Chan Chan is yet to start.. there is no way that it could be judged at this moment.
Actually the show started with exceptional expectations .. so people started judging.. give it a fair chance ... who knows what is in store for us!
