Going to a samiyar or astrologer is something that is part of our tradition and culture for centuries - don't think that is regressive. They have withstood the onslaught of invasions - so there must be something in them.

What is regressive is showing women or girls in a cheap manner - like talking of Anjali's rape all the time - letting the r....ts go scot free (smacks of male chauvinism), women getting slapped by men for no reason (like Bell slapping Amudha even after they got separated - that creep had an affair with Kavitha on the side and he had the temerity to slap Amudha for going out with Vasu) 😡

As soon as CM discharged from hospital (Poison episode) she asked Vadai whether it will afffect the baby or not?? But Vadai started Unmai maraching from that day onwards...

So,our pooor CM is thinking that healthy baby will be born.......

Thanks for clarifying KK - didn't watch CM much those days.

What I don't understand is - what is the need for marachifying from CM - even in yesterday's epi - she is not a weakling or anything that she can't bear this news. She is shown to be a strong woman... why she even slapped a police officer.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I seem to remember a dialogue where CM says that she knew/suspected that food is poisoned, yet she took it - well, that was foolish then - right? (that too when she is pregs) 😔

If i could remember (not quiet sure as its been a long time), but she was being challenged by Madhu, saying the food Vadai made may have been poisoned and hence she didn't want her Yov husband to eat and something bad happening to him.. that is why CM consumed it... but it was the velai of Pearl and co naa?
